There are many children around the world who tell their parents that they see dark figures. Most of the time, their parents would brush them off and tell them not to lie.
In this episode, a young boy named Edward not only gets brushed off by his mother, but is also laughed at by his friends, after his first paranormal experience.
In fact, growing up, Edward had a handful of paranormal experiences. Many people might not believe, but till this day Edward can vividly remember the first time he saw a ghost…
Some spiritual beings are harmful and some harmless… Watch to find out what Edward saw one morning when he followed his mother to Pasar Pagi (Morning Market).
If that’s not enough, listen also to his spiritual encounter, right in his own home!
Is he a little boy making up things, or is there some truth in what he’s saying?

Children are often said to be more sensitive, to psychic and paranormal experiences. The idea is that there is wisdom in the ignorance and inexperience of youth and that adults rarely see. A number of children reporting ghostly experiences more so often at night . Though some parents were initially skeptical, they soon came to believe that their child’s accounts of seeing and interacting with ghosts were real and not merely imagination. Night terrors and bad dreams are common among young children. Hence resulted in parents not believing them. I remembered many years back one of patient’s daughter, I think about 6 years old told me she saw people in the baby nursery which is not allowed in. I saw no one , feeling uneasy I told my patient but she said her daughter is imagining only. I knew some people have third eyes but do not know how to deal with. Until when I came to dharma I could understand better now and reading this post , we cannot take things for granted especially when children tells us , what they saw.
For Richard experience at such a young age , is history now. Good that Richard met Rinpoche at that time, and gave him simple teachings and clear explanations of what to do. Been terrified and wide-awake no more for Richard then.
Thank you for this sharing.
Dear Rinpoche, till this day I’m still afraid of spirits. I know that some of them are not evil but they are there because of they couldn’t let go of their attachments. But I just don’t know why, I’m afraid to look at them. But what I said is true, before my dad know Rinpoche, he did not believed in all those kinds of paranormal activities. Until one day, he told my mom that spirits doesn’t exists. THAT NIGHT, my father got pressed by a spirits on his bed. And from that day onwards, he started to believe in spirits.
I know Edward personally and he is a great person and now i know that he has been through this. i believe that spirits are here and they are just like us, Like they said some are harmless and some are harmful. please believe in them because you might see them and you will know what to do if you believe and learn.
I know that my voice sounds funny ,but I hope u enjoy the video
Thanks Edward for your sharing. Your story recall me about the black shadow that I had seen when I was around 3-4 years old. That was almost like 20 years ago! You know, I just remember odd things that sometimes we can’t share or tell… until I see your clips which really give me a courage to write it down.
That was a hot sunny noon, I was going to prayers with my parents in one of the famous “Tua Pek Kong” temple in Bukit Mertajam. There are many people praying on that day. The temple is so packed and smoky. So I walk out from the temple, to get some fresh air and looking around, hoping to find/see if there’s anything to feed my curiosity at that age.
Imagine at twelve noon, when I was alone and staring at the grass to see dragonfly stop and rest on it, I can sense that my right side view has a tall black shadow men by passing me very fast. Soon after that I fell down at the sloppy. People came and help me, and asked me what I had done and I told them about the shadow that I saw. I had a minor bruise and still wondering what’s that about until today. 🙂
3 years ago, another big and black shadow that my friend claimed she saw nearby my work station, which I didn’t see it. It appears a 1-3 times per day, sort of checking out…Later, it is believe that was my protector. My colleague was worrying and confirmed it with her guru.
Wow, Edward, you were right, there’s nothing to scare about and we really got to be more compassion. Keep it up!
Edward, you are such a brave and compassionate boy. Even though you are scared of them, you do not think of how to get rid of them instead you dedicate your merits to them for their good rebirth.
I do believe of your sightings when you saw them and told us many years ago when you were much much younger. These beings do exists, they were here before us and due to their attachments they still cling on to their possessions.
You have followed the advise H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, and I am happy that you don’t have to encounter with them anymore. Thank you for sharing these experiences with us.
Cute Edward! He is authentic and says what is true for him. Way to go Edward! We believe you Edward.
Ive seen them from a young age and I still occassionally do its a very frightening vindication of the spirit realm, So remember the benefits of taking refuge and always pray for them. Before Arya Tara spirits submit themselves I have been into places before where there have been very negative spirits about and by reciting the Mantra of Tara such a place is cleansed. Always remember your refuge !
As Edward’s father, I have heard many times of his sightings but one thing is for sure, he has been consistent. He still freaks out once in while and when I asked why, he said at times he felt afraid and I had to tell him to not think of it. Maybe these beings, who have been here much longer before we moved into this house, are still attached to this place even before it was built as a condo. Whatever it is they have not created any mischief or harm to us. So, we just co exist with them.
It is so true that a lot of things that children say we don’t take it seriously. Especially parents. Simply because we thought that they don’t know any better. Now Edward has proven that not all Kids lie! hehe… And indeed, the spirits are around haunting children, adults, young or old. Just because we don’t see it with our eyes, we don’t really believe they exist. That is why children are more sensitive… What they learn, heard, see will make what they believe and what they are today. It has been years and Edward is telling the same story, the same scene… So he must be telling the truth after so many years… Simply because it made an impact in his life. So why we don’t listen?
Edward is a young naughty kid just like any other boy in his age, but one thing for sure is he doesn’t lie. I’m very proud of Edward actually he dare to share his own experience with all of us. When I talk to him personally about this experiences, he doesn’t share much, he told me it’s not good to talk about “them” and he might hear about our conversation and they will feel sad or upset too.
It’a very heart warming to see a boy in his young age will have some much compassion to all beings in him. He said every time is he feels something is not right, he will pray for them, instead of just thinking of get rid of them. This had proven with the pure Dharma received from a qualified Guru will help us in a lot of way.
amazing how Edward can still remember the accounts of the paranormal encounter when he was 4 years old. He treats the spirits with compassion though he is scared, but he understand what these spirits are going through. wonderful sharing from Edward, thanks
Totally agree with Mc, what a kind heart of Edward. After being advised by his Guru, HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, Edward felt compassionate to the ghost. Instead of just scared to them but he make dedication for them to take good rebirth.
Edward is truly lucky too, being thought at such a young age not only to show compassion to human being or animals but also to other being that most of us afraid of.
Great boy.
Edward recounts his paranormal experiences in such a direct and matter-of-fact way and I am sure he saw what he said he did. The part I like best is how Edward views ghosts as beings that we are to help and pray for and not to simply regard them as evil beings to be feared. Usually we fear what we don’t know and reject them straight out instead of keeping an open mind about them and try to see them in a kindly way. Its is encouraging to see a boy thinking differently. This is a good paranormal story. Thanks Edward!
This is very very nice ghost story I never heard before, thank you so much. Talked by a 12 year old kid, very sincere, real and warmth. I can feel how soft Edward are. The Dharma his guru gave when he was 4 years old he still can remember very clear and when he spoke out, you can feel his compassion inside. Thank you Edward you really warm my heart.
