A special request of Pastorship
Some very special requests I wanted to share with all of you here. Please send them your good wishes. They have already taken their vows on October 24, 2012.
Tsem Rinpoche
Dr Lanse
Letter from Dr Lanse
The letter reads:
Dear Rinpoche,
Hope Rinpoche is feeling well.
I would like to humbly request for Rinpoche’s blessing to grant me the opportunity to become a Pastor so that I can always be in service to others.
I have thought over this for almost a year now since Rinpoche first suggested me to become a Pastor. At first, this seems to be very far aways from me, but as time goes by, with Rinpoche’s continuous teaching and guidance, and when I see and hear more about what the Pastors have been doing, I realise that these are things that I want to do my whole life. Knowing this made me feel very light and calm.
During the very recent teaching, Rinpoche asked us to always remember the reason why we enter Dharma. Thank you Rinpoche, I will always remember that as I know if I can remember that very well, I will have more empathy with others and I will not give up no matter what.
Dear Rinpoche, please accept my sincere request, may I have this opportunity to become a real Pastor, may it be the first step for me to get the full ordination one day.
Thank you.
With folded hands,
Lanse
Madam Lim Han Nee

I rejoice for the pastors as their jobs indeed are very important as they would be able to reach out to those that may need help. They would be the ones that would represent Rinpoche when help is needed by others.
They are very special people as they give up their personal type and comfort to benefit others that may need their help. I am really happy that the pastors are committed in doing whatever they are doing to help benefit the community in ways that they can do so.
you have my respect pastors, i hope you all can do very well and i am sure that you will. Good Luck. I hope you guys can do well in spreading the dharma too. Om mani padme hung.
Congratulations Pastors! Such beautiful requests and my deepest respect to all the pastors. Whatever they do are for the benefit of others. Such a wonderful cause! I am really happy for them and I aspire to be like them. Such knowledge and selflessness…
Rinpoche has said before that having lots of donations, having many members, and creating large buidlings is not the real sign of success in a dharma organisation. Instead, what really counts as success is the transformation of the students, the commitment to real dharma practice, and giving oneself to dharma because one really understands the nature of samsara. Then donations, buildings, members etc will come as a result of the real dharma results.
So it’s very good to see that more people are coming forward to give their lives to the dharma, after being inspired by Rinpoche’s teachings and the actions of other dharma students. Kechara is moving slowly but surely along the correct path of dharma. May more pastors and sangha arise!
I think most of us know how ‘busy’ a pastor is or how tight the schedule of a pastor, so it is really not easy to request from Rinpoche, saying ‘yes I’m ready to ‘give up’ my own time for my own pleasure’, ‘yes I’m ready to help and serve people all the way’, ‘yes I’m ready, I would do whatever that benefits others’.
And our 2 new pastors made it and currently on the path to benefits more people. I’m proud of all the pastors! They are ‘ordinary’ people that put priority to serve others…how many of us can do so?
Congratulations to Pastor Lanse and Pastor Han Nee. Thank you Rinpoche for Your guidance, because of You, we are now a different person from the past. 🙂
peace inside peace outside for evryone else
Congratulations to the two ladies! This pastorship will definitely help you all expedite your spiritual development and at the same time benefit others too. Kechara House definitely needs more pastors as our present three pastors are ‘over worked’. The number of people who walk through our door is increasing so fast and many with various types of problems. All my best to you!
Congratulation and rejoice to Pastor Han Nee and Pastor Lanse. Thanks for u all always spend more time in spreading Rinpoche teaching and help others. Pastor’s service in Kechara House will be benefit more and more peoples with 2 more dedicated Pastors now. May u all will always obstacles free in your Pastorship journey…
I would like to congratulate the 2 newly ordained pastor . They are very kind and compassionate to take up the challenge to keep the vow they made,to spread dharma and to share dharma to all who wish to learn.
May all those who seek your assistance gain solace and the benefit of the dharma in time of impermanence.
Its is very touched by reading the letters. The power of realization to understands how important pastor is. To benefit many in this fortunate lifetime. I rejoice for the Pastors and respect them with my folded hands. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
Congratulations on Pastor Lanse & Pastor Han Nee . May all the pastors including Pastor Chia, Pastor Susan & Pastor Yek Yee works benefit greatly on everyone.
Congratulations and my deepest respect to this 2 wonderful pastors who have made the right decision to use their lives to benefit others. With the existing three pastors and this two new pastors in Kechara, more can be achieved in spreading the dharma to benefit more people.
I wish them every success in their spiritual path!
To the two ladies Pastors with deepest respect.
From their messages to Rinpoche, I felt their sincerity and the pure motivation to serve others through teachings and sharing the dharma.
May dharma grow far and wide through their strong will to benefit and serve others.
Rejoice!
To Pastor Han Nee and Pastor Lanse, a very big congratulation to all of you. My full respect and admiration to all you for your achievement in your spiritual growth. With additional 2 pastors, more people will get help and assistance and also dharma sharing. Thank you all for your spiritual aspirations.
2 very sincere pastor from Kechara, I truly believe they can be very good pastor because from my experience with them, they are really a great people.
Pastor Lanse came to Kechara Paradise 1U about 4 years ago, that time, i never thought that she will become pastor in Kechara, she gave up her further study for Dharma, a person who can give up everything for Dharma, what else she cannot do for Dharma? Pastor Lanse, I’m sure you will be a great pastor, congratulations 🙂
Pastor Han Nee was very active volunteering in Kechara Paradise One Utama back then, she came twice a week and that night, she will go for Puja is KH, there is always a lot of Dharma tales and her own experience with Dharma to hear from her during the duty, when she talk, you can really feel her passion on it. It is not that she is here just to past time, but she really sincerely wanted to do it from her heart to benefit others. Thank you Pastor Han Nee for the days in 1U, congratulation to your pastorship.
from them, it further shows that being a pastor doesn’t matter on the age, it is the will of benefiting others count, even if there is any reason for not able to become one now, but we can create a cause from a decision in our mind and to act as a pastor now. We don’t become a pastor after we wear on the uniform, we must be a pastor from our action first then only get ready to wear the uniform as pastor.
To be a pastor one has to have comprehensive knowledge and compassion for struggles and concerns of others. The ability to communicate clearly and have a strong character. These wonderful ladies have committed themselves to serving and benefiting others.Rejoice!
Best wishes to the existing Pastors for being an inspiration to others.Thank you Rinpoche for ordaining them.
Rejoice and congratulations to Pastor Lanse and Pastor Han Nee. From my point of view, to become a pastor or an ordained person is like swimming across an ocean through big waves and strong current, which requires hard work, strong determination to help others unconditionally and willing to sacrifice one’s own resources in order to lessen the suffering of others. My best wishes to all the pastors in Kechara. May all of us help and support them in all ways so that they could reach out to more people in this region.
Congratulations to the two wonderful new Pastors. I rejoice and may all the pastor benefit many others and wish their journey in the future be succesful.
Rinpoche’s is always looking at ways to bring dharma and care for others and the pastorship is Rinpoche’s skilful way of his persona and what he represents. The Sangha represents kindness, compassion and the willingness to do what it takes to benefit others. Look around at Rinpoche’s departments one can see a creative mind at work. I rejoice in the two pastors benefitting others.
My deepest respect goes out to our 2 newly appointed Pastors as they have decided to give up so much to become a Pastor of Kechara that will be there providing their hands to those who need them all the time. The vows that the Pastors took is much more compared to the basic Refuge vows and my deepest respect and appreciation goes to all of them because of that.
Pastor Lanse & Pastor Han Nee, Rejoice in being the new pastors of Kechara House and taking a stand to be of benefit to others.
Have been class mates with you all for a year and you have been very consistence. You have my highest respect in your actions.
You have inspired me to work harder to do more and handling other commitments to be a Pastor ASAP too.
My very best wishes and greatest congratualations for the successful pastorship ordinations of the two new pastors, Dr. Lanse and Madam Lim Han Nee. I rejoice deeply in their wisdomised choice, and may their new role be smooth, and fruitful to bring benefits to all sentient beings and help to reduce sufferings, in fulfilment of their spiritual aims and dharmic duties. Om mani padme hum.
Congratulations to Dr. Lanse and Madam Han Nee of becoming pastors to serve, to guide others, and to spread the Dharma teachings. It is a honor and blessing to have more pastors in Kechara in order to reach out to more people that we are committed to help people in any possible in their spiritual growth. Without spirituality life would be meaningless. Thank you to all for having the courage to hold the responsibilities of a pastor, it will be a inspiration to us all. 🙂
Beautiful bouquets of flowers for the two wonderful new Pastors. Congratulations and my deep respect for your commitment in wanting to help others to ease their “suffering”. Its great that Kechara has our own Pastors and as the team expands, many more beings can benefit from it. How wise and kind of Rinpoche to have thought of this.
Dear all the Buddhist pastors
I am very inspired by the choice you made about spreading the precious Dharma by becoming a pastor. I would like to wish and pray for all the pastors for their smooth transition as a pastor in sharing Dharma to all mother sentient beings under the guidance of H.E Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.
_/\_ Thank you
As explained by Tsem Rinpoche before, Buddhist pastors are lay person who have committed teach the Dharma. This commitment is something very meaningful, yet we need to have certain level of letting go in order to achieve this commitment.
I rejoice for Pastor Lanse and Pastor Han Nee who are willing to letting go their personal pleasure for the benefit of others. They inspire me to work harder and work towards to be a pastor in this life too.
I read the letters with great joy at their request for ordination as Pastors. They are taking the first step into real commitment towards the dharma and sharing with others what they have received from Rinpoche. May Kechara flourish with their generosity and may Rinpoche’s teachings spread to all corners of the world.
I know that being a Pastor is not an easy choice to live one’s life, but why not, I meant as per Rinpoche stated previously “Whether we do work and suffer but for others or we do work and suffer for ourselves, either way we have to suffer. That is the nature of samsara. So let us suffer for others and then suffering has meaning.” I’m truly moved by their choice of living their life to benefit and reach out to other is truly something we should have in every one of us. We should not just live for ourselves instead live for others. I should as well keep my Refuge vows properly so that in the future I can be a good use to others.
Congratulations to the two wonderful ladies for being a pastor! It is great to be able to share the Dharma with other 24/7. I follow very closely on what the existing pastors does such as Pastor Yek Yee, Pastor Susan and Pastor Chia…. and they’re amazing!
They help so many people in times of difficulties and also give protection to people who needs it. I’m really glad that now Pastor Lanse and Pastor Han Nee can join in the team and contribute to Kechara’s effort of helping others.
Wonderful news and one that we all can rejoice.
More people will now be benefited from the Pastor’s services. Imagine Kechara used to have three pastors and they have achieved so much. With 2 more, I’m sure more will be achieved! Congratulations and thank you for setting such good examples for others.
Many things can come easily accepted if these are where our hearts are.
Without sincere appreciation and dedication, a journey may be excruciatingly long and painful. But if these are where our hearts are, we can overcome many hurdles on our ways.
I rejoice on the successful ordination of pastorship of Pastor Han Nee and Pastor Lanse. I wish all of you fulfilling pastorship journey.
The decision to become a pastor is a tough one for lay persons who has no knowledge of what they are getting into.
But for these 2 ladies, they know exactly what qualities it need to take and to have to become a pastor.
They are wise in years and also the Mind. Congratulations and may their journey be fruitful to bring benefits to many others from Kechara. I rejoice for them all from my heart!
You have my deepest respect. Nothing can be more meaningful than to devote ourselves for the cessation of sufferings and the generation of happiness for others. Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu!
