Whilst the Chinese have practised ancestral worship for centuries, for most people a visit to the graves of their forefathers stops there. A few offerings and some flowers, and families consider their duty done until the following year.
For JP however, nothing is ever ordinary and after a 13-year lull in paranormal experiences, he was about to find his sleep disturbed once again after a visit to the cemetery.
How did JP react? Was his frustration justified? How did he decide to end it all? Watch and find out…the answers may not be that far-fetched after all…

HE Rinpoche was so brilliant at utilising his students’ experiences/talents in reaching to the masses. I think he aimed for people to have compassion for beings in that realm with the paranormal series. What a cool, brilliant and lovely way to approach life’s experiences with dharma. Superb series and super message too.
Dear Rinpoche, both JP and Pastor David’s stories are really scary. Especially when the lady that JP describe in the video above started to move towards him. I would literally pee in my pants if I ever see any spirits around because I’m a chicken (hehe). And I’m not the type of person like JP who can endure seeing spirits quite often, I don’t think I can even handle seeing them. I would go crazy if I were JP or Pastor David.
Dear RInpoche, if I have a gift like JP”s I might have gotten several heart attacks already. It is so scary so see a spirit the minute you just woke up and when they realized that you can see them they started getting closer (this would my worst experience man). If I encounter a spirit like how JP described, I would either scream and escape from my room fast or I would scream and cover myself in my blanket. In both ways I will still scream. LOL!
I can not hear the interview, the creepy sound effects are very stupidly annoyingly loud.
Cemeteries are always spooky.. And everyone has some weird and scary story to tell about their ‘encounter’..
Part of my family tradition is to pay respects to ancestors during the Chinese ‘ghosts festivals’, everyone is required to take part in the prayers done in the cemetery. And we go from graves to graves, cemetery to cemetery during the praying season.
Some of the cemeteries are very old and ill-maintained, there are dodgy holes everywhere and non one dares to look into them, most of the time we couldn’t find the particular grave since the marking on tombstones were written in ink which had vanished due to heat.. Whenever we can’t find the grave and were going round and round the cemetery for a long time, the adults would light a few incense sticks and whisper, “pls help us find you xxx, we came here to pray for you…” after this, we would find the grave !! This works every single time !!
Don’t ask me why,….
Ancestral worship for the Chinese remains an important event. Traditionally, the Chinese, the world over, made visits to the graves of their deceased ancestors on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month, commonly known as the hungry ghost festival to give ritual offerings of food and drinks, flowers, incense, candles, paper printed money-replicas, material goods and consumer products. Appeasement of the spirits during the ghost month is essential, so that things can go smoothly and successfuly in the world of the living, as a supernatural belief amongst the Chinese community. But, as followers of the Buddhist tradition, the seventh lunar month should not be a time to fear ghosts and spirits, but a time to practise filial piety by honoring and bringing salvation to deceased family members. It seems the theme of filial respect from the Buddhist “Ullambana” festival was absorbed into the ghost festival of popular culture. Activities for Ancestral veneration and philanthrophy for elderly have also become important elements in the festival, to appease the hungry souls not to intrude into the daily life of the living, or disturb them.
Yes, JP is one of the friend I knew very famous with his ghost friend surrounding him. If I not mistaken, JP also because of this issue come to Kechara. I think the ghost friend of JP’s side is good and not harm. hahha…just kidding.
I remembered JP told me before Rinpoche want him be kind of his ghost friends. I was a bit shocked. Be compassion? Be kind? Why???
Now I can understand the point Rinpoche come from. That is first time I heard people said just let’s them alone and be kind to them. Even though we cannot see them but doesn’t mean they are not exist….be kind to them because they are also one kind of sentient being. It is widely mind.
