Into The Universe With Stephen Hawking – Aliens (2010) – Stephen Hawking hosts an epic new kind of cosmology series, a Planet Earth of the heavens. It takes the world’s most famous scientific mind and sets it free, powered by the limitless possibilities of computer animation. Hawking gives us the ultimate guide to the universe, a ripping yarn based on real science, spanning the whole of space and time — from the nature of the universe itself, to the chances of alien life, and the real possibility of time travel. Hawking joins science and imagination to explore one of the most important mysteries facing humankind — the possibility of alien, intelligent life and the likelihood of future contact. Traveling from the moons of Jupiter to a galaxy maybe not so far, far away, he’ll introduce us to possible alien life forms — in stunning CGI — that face the same universal trials of adaptation and survival as the residents of Earth.
Can you imagine? Time travel. Theoretically it is possible. Everything we have done is recorded and ‘present’. So it should be possible to see again, only we need the method. Imagine meeting alien life forms? Again theoretically possible. Anyway, I like to post things to make people think more. So please think more. Please watch and think beyond your bills, commitments, friends, partners, fun and sleep. Go beyond and think.

Stephen Hawking, use his high intellect, to propose that life could actually extend beyond the boundaries of planet Earth. This is actually quite believable, the universe is so vast, and there do not seem to be an end to it, some have said the universe is also expanding.
Perhaps certain people feel comforted, that life can only exist on planet Earth, but that in reality could be further than the truth. Some also subscribe that we only have one life, and we should live the best possible life, that is also not a bad idea, that someone can live the best possible life, and not waste this life.
Still it doesn’t mean that, if we have more than one life, we will just waste it and not live it well. We may have gotten a perfect human rebirth, but that does not mean, every life time, we will meet up with the same conditions over and over again. So it would be wise if we used this perfect human rebirth to discover the reality of our existence or at least spend some effort to figure out how we came to be.
Stephen Hawking is a world-renowned British theoretical physicist, known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology, Stephen Hawking presents the wonders of the universe, revealing the splendour and majesty of the cosmos as never seen before. He joined scientist to go beyond exploring mysteries involving aliens ,human kind of intelligent life and the likelihood of future contact. Amazing his legacy only lies in his breakthrough discoveries but also lies in the engaging, approachable way he shared those discoveries with the public. He did achieved commercial success with several works of popular science.
Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting sharing of a Great man.
Buddhism has an explanation for the population explosion on planet Earth. After a Dharma talk, someone asked Lama Yeshe why the world population is expanding all the time. Lama Yeshe gave the following answer:
“That’s simple. Like modern science, Buddhism talks about the existence of billions and billions of galaxies. The consciousness of a person born on earth may have come from a galaxy far away, drawn here by the force of karma, which connects that person’s mental energy to this planet. On the other hand, the consciousness of a person dying on this earth may at the time of death be karmically directed to a rebirth in another galaxy, far from here. If more minds are being drawn to earth, the population increases; if fewer, it declines. That does not mean that brand new minds are coming into existence. Each mind taking rebirth here on earth has come from its previous life – perhaps in another galaxy, perhaps on earth itself, but not from nowhere – in accordance with the cyclic nature of worldly existence. (Lama Yeshe, Becoming Your Own Therapist)
It seems to me that Buddhist cosmology which talks about a billion world systems is not so different from the scientific viewpoint that there exist billions of universes. All these universes are in fact part of what Buddhists refer to as “samsara” or cyclic existence. Therefore, it is not surprising that so-called “aliens” from other planets can take rebirth on planet Earth and beings from our world can also, at the time of death, migrate to other world systems.
Furthermore, although it is generally accepted that the age of our universe is 13.8 billion years, new discoveries indicate that the universe has no beginning, a view similar to the Buddhist view. “The universe may have existed forever, according to a new model that applies quantum correction terms to complement Einstein’s theory of general relativity. The model may also account for dark matter and dark energy, resolving multiple problems at once.” (Lisa Zyga (Phys.org), 9 Feb 2015)
I always love to watch documentaties by Stephen Hawkings and his books. Every time I see him on his chair, I wonder how long he can live, yet he never give up and keep fascinate us with this theories.
He is indeed the most scientists whom I admire!
Sorry to know that Rinpoche’s arm and shoulder is suffering from some pains due to the pressure on the nerves.I encountered the same sort of pains recently but it’s alright now.The treatment that I have undergone is known as electric field therapy. It’s available at the ONE COMMUNITY ENERGISE STATION located on the ground floor of the Subang Avenue building (adjacent to Carrefour Building) in Subang Jaya.A few stroke patients have recovered after similarly having undergone such therapy. The treatment is really amazing. Please give it a try.
