Question asked by Martin
Dear Rinpoche,
I hope your are feeling much better. I have always believed that in practicing Dharma, we should push ourselves to the max and way beyond our confort zone. This is as opposed to taking "calculated bets" as one would do in business.
I have been advised not to bite off more than i can chew in doing Dharma as not doing dharma well attracts negative karma. Is it correct to take the view that if the motivation is correct, we should not be afraid to keep pushing beyond ourselves?
We should push our comfort zones. We should do more and more and more..but that does not mean haphazardly taking on more that we cannot handle. The spirit is willing, but the flesh cannot.
So we need to be practical. To take on 10 projects we do inadequately and upset many others. Disappoint them. Or to take on 3 projects that we do very well and everyone is happy. The answer is clear my dear Martin. Good luck as always.
