Description of the video:
A 12-year-old Mongolian boy- Uudam (乌达木 Wudamu in Chinese) who lost his parents at the age of 8 in a road accident sings a song-“Mother in the Dream” (梦中的额吉) to his mother in heaven. He seldom talks about his story but when he misses his mother, he will sing this song. He always dream about his mother, sitting beside him.
The song is in Mongolian, so not everyone can understand the lyrics. However, his singing touched all the judges and the audience in the hall without the understanding of the lyrics.
Indeed it was a touching song, performed by a boy who has a sad story with a voice that comes from far away Mongolia; sending his thoughts and love to his mother in heaven. A great performance by a 12-year-old boy!
He had an interesting and beautiful dream which is to invent a type of ink that with just a drop on the ground, the whole world would be covered in green grass. When his mother was alive, she mentioned she wished to see her son sing on the stage, now he has fulfilled her wish.

Yes this 12-year-old Mongolian boy name Uudam is really amazing . He sang beautifully in his song ‘Mother in the dream’ in the China got talent contest. He rendered the song full of emotion and delivered it deep from his heart, looking at his expression. His singing touched every audience and the judges as well . Even though not many people understand the lyrics in Mongolian yet his singing voice simply amazing and emotion . Such a great song indeed. All I could say he is truly talented .

This boy turned his sorrows into something meaningful. Something that will make his parents proud. The passing of his parents have taught us about impermenance and imminent death.

Just walk on.. It’s the hope that pushes all of us this far. When I was listening to his song, I’m thinking about Rinpoche. 🙏 Sharing this quote that came to my mind from the Wheel of Sharp Weapons :

We would see that it does not exist by itself.
But when we are not making our formal analysis,

Very sad to get know that he lost his parents at a young age and he do dream of her mother so often that he will sing as if she is watching from a distance.I believe that it must be very difficult for this boy..His only way to connect with them once again is through his voice.
He never take his tragic background to get sympathy from others, or wanting others to pay attention to him, in fact, he is working hard to get what he wants and go all the way wanting to fulfill his mother’s dream.Thank you for sharing this inspiring post.
While I do not understand the lyrics but when he sings I can feel that he love and missed his mom a lot. Hope he will stay strong and like the host said treat every mom like his own mom. To love and care for all beings .
He found his calm spot, his inner peace in his singing for his mother. Most kids would have felt anger and frustration at his “fate”, at what has happened to him and his family. It’s as though he had accepted his karma and moved forward with positive motivation. His link to his past and his mother is through his singing which seems like a form of meditation for him. Watching him sing, is like watching a yoga session in calm. Beautiful.

I believe that it must be very difficult for this boy. He is so young and he lost both his parents. Hi sonly way to connect with them once again is through his voice. I am very happy that he is such a strong boy, not letting whatever he has in the future just slip away due to his grief.
I do not understand the song, but yes, through the song, I do understand how he feels, how much he misses his mother, a 12 years old kid is presented so mature and tough, no matter how sad he is, he did not show a drop of tears. I was amazed with his dream, a drop of ink can cover the field with grass, seriously, what an amazing dream, he did not think for himself, most of the kids or even adults is dreaming to have great job and an enjoyable life, but he did not. He is really a great Kid.

When I watched the video, I feel like crying. I feel so sad for him because he lost both of his parents in a car crash, now he is just living with his grandmother. And what wonderful dream he have, I wish that one day his dreams will come true.
This is so sad, this video make me cry. I can’t imagine the life he’s living without his parents, he really misses his mama. Poor little kid.. May he live a happy and healthy life.

Uudam ur voice made every audience been touch, and i also the one that tear come around my eyes. Although u got no parents beside u but u still have a Big Dream that able to bring benefits to others.

Very good looking boy with such a fantastic voice that touched the hearts of the judges and the audience,one of the judges even went up to the stage to hug him and gave him encouragement to be a good and useful person in the future.He sang with great feelings that make people tears just rolling down from their eyes even though not many can understand the language but can sense it that he missed his mother very much.He always dream of his mother sitting by his bedside and will sing when he thinks of her.Pray that the boy will get all the supports and love from all the people around him!
When I was listening to his song, he reminded me how much he really missed his mother whose was no longer with him any more. Felt that strong feeling of how much he wishes for her hugs and cuddle in her arms. I was really impressed by his uncommon dream among boys of his age, to invent a kind of ink that when just need a drop onto the ground, the whole world will cover with green grass. One of the judges mentioned not only having a charismatic look of a royal prince, his singing voice also sound like that of his beautiful uncommon dream which when sung, spread happiness to those who are in despite, unhappy, depressed etc bringing others happiness and joy. Uudam reminds me of somebody who is very important in my life. Born from a royal family and has a similar ‘uncommon’ dream, far wider and bigger. A selfless dream to bring happiness and end the sufferings of others. That person, I’m sure many of us already know who am I talking about. He is no other than our precious lama and an emanation of Lord Manjushri ~ H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche 🙂

I’m touched and inspired by Wudamu. He transformed his personal tragedy into strength and positive energy.
Just lost a dharma friend last night. Not easy to come to terms with the sudden departure. Watching how Wudamu dealt with the loss of his beloved parents does help me in overcoming the sadness.
Uudam sings through his heart, expressing the pain, sorrow through his wonderful voice. Uudam touches each soul in the show with his heart although no one understand Mongolian language. I am also touched at his expression, and listening to the tragedy he met, make one feel for his pain.
I believe Uudam can touch many more heart and transform the world in to green and peaceful world, his talent and voice is the Magic ink that will make it happen.
Beautiful exemple of transcending personal pain trough singing as a gift from the heart to others.
Such a young but strong boy. His powerful voice and song has touched me deeply. Despite loosing his parents at such a young age, he still carries on strong. Really inspiring!

I understand very little Chinese and certainly no Mongolian, but this video still touched me deeply and to tears.
This afternoon I had the privilege of skyping with both my mother and father back home and I am over 40 years old. This young boy lost both his parents at the age of 8! Oh, tears are flowing as I type this.
At such a young age, he knows something I don’t but something I can feel and have empathy with.
Such and adorable kid, with a beautiful voice.
May he be well, may this terrible loss give him insight and propel him to never harm nobody in his life and only benefit others.

The way the song is being sung in the video, displays the deep inner pain and despair this very talented young boy “who sings from his heart”, out of all his love to Mom. Like the blog said, “he seldom talk about his story but when he miss his mother, he will sing this song. Besides he always dream about his mother sitting beside him.” Imagine a 12 year old boy, “Uudam” who lost his parents at the tender age of 8 in a road accident! At least his mother”s wish is fulfilled that he got his blessings singing on the stage to his mother, but let us all further pray that he will be further blessed with a good future life from now-on to be of great benefit to all sentient beings.
