I like feeding stray dogs
I always have dried dog food packed in ziploc bags in my car. Whenever I go out and I see hungry dogs/cats, I stop the car and feed them. It is very satisfying to feed animals. It’s painful to see them hungry. It is painful to see them thin and weak.
So while I was feeding on this one occasion, Pastor Loh Seng Piow took this video..and got it together…thanks…I wanted to share with you to please always take care of animals. This video is not about how great or kind I am, it’s about feeding animals, don’t abuse them and never hurt them. Take the time and go out of your way for them. Life is not just getting to the next destination, but what you do at the current destination. Please help animals always.

Rinpoche is amazing, we all love him, he is so kind to everything. i love animals and i would never hurt them, i hope one day i can buy a house and make it a animals shelter for stay dogs looking for a home.
Rinpoche’s kindness has never failed to rub of on any stray animal such as a dog, even i myself had seen it with my own eyes when we were on the way to Kechara Forest Retreat we saw a lonely, stray and hungry looking dog, after seeing the dog Rinpoche immediately went down of the car opened the boot and took out 2 Ziploc bags of dog food just for that dog and true to say the dog actually ate the dog food once we went back in to the car.
Rinpoche’s love and care for animals cannot be destructed as he has compassion embedded in his mind stream.
i love animals and i would never hurt or abuse them. now i will go out of my way to feed stray dogs as much as possible. hopefully someday i can do this with Rinpoche.
Its very good that Rinpoche is able to do this to animals. I wish that i could do this in the future together with Rinpoche. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
“Life is not just getting to the next destination, but what you do at the current destination.”
We always have this dream and that dream to fulfil, even is a big and great dream but what’s better is accomplish the one, even is the little one we can reach, we can help, we can contribute at the moment.
Live now.
Yes a Buddha is always aware and always benefitting other constantly and non stop.
Rinpoche always never teach from the book but from the experience and thing that Rinpoche went through.
Rinpoche will never miss a chance to save or do the best he can to help regardless human or animal. Still remember sometimes when we went out together with Rinpoche, Rinpoche will just “scream” us to stop our car at the road side. Rinpochw will asked one or two students to went down the car to feed the homeless dog.
Even during our Bangkok trip, due to we have no enough dog food in the car, Rinpoche actually stop us at patrol kiosk to get some light bread for the dogs. This is not to show off but sharing with all of you, Rinpoche will not just ask us to do something but he will actually show it to us by doing it with body, speech and mind.
I hope one day i will be able to help others just like my guru.
@Wan, Yes Rinpoche always feed people, animals and other beings as well.
When setting Ladrang, Rinpoche had the kitchen like Justin, Jean Ai, KB to cook dinner for all the gardener, contractors and workers as they have been working very hard.
People like them always been ignored by others, as not many people will treat them as normal worker, once they done their job, they leave, will talk only when necessary.
When ladrang cook dinner for them, in fact they are very touch and happy, in their life, not many people “notice” or care about them.
Rinpoche is very kind and care for everyone and animals.
Rinpoche always think about other beings. Rinpoche loves to feed people and animal, especial poor people and stray animals who have less hope and chance.
May all this merit create a cause for Kechara Animal Santuary menifest fast for the benifit for more animals.
Dear Rinpoche,
If I may ask, what kind of vegetarian food do you feed dogs? I have a very loved pet of my own, have been thinking a lot lately of those videos have been watching about animals tortured….. Hence, this ? arised. Thank you
Hu… This post reminded me. I had a dream about a stray dog last night. He was a hound dog looking thing, but mostly mutt, with the kindest eyes. All I remember is looking into his eyes as I petted him. His ears were like velvet. Thank you for the memory, and for the inspirational kindness!
Rinpoche is truely a compassionate lama who is always in action and thinking of ways to benefit any beings at any given time.
Even when Rinpoche goes out, he is still in action….what would be we be doing?
I think it is genuinely a great idea to always have some dog food in the car, as there are always stray dogs looking for food on the streets. Thank you again Rinpoche for showing us kindness and compassoin 24 hours round the clock.
with folded hands….
Dear Lama
Thank you for sharing this moving video. I will try to do the same whenever I can.
Much love
Valentina
It is amazing that a Lama would go out of his way to feed strays when most people cannot even see them as beings having any value. A Bodhisattva loves all beings equally, I guess.
