Question asked by Lee
To whom it may concern,
I have a few questions I would like to ask, with my hands folded in prayer I humbly request answers to the following:
1) I recently received a beautiful pendant from HE Tsem tulku Rinpoché, has this been blessed or should I get my guru to bless it?
2) my guru gave me the practice of shamatha. He wants me to do 50 thousand. Does this mean 50 thousand breaths or 50 thousand mala rounds of shamatha?
3) I am currently in the process of receiving a Shakyamuni statue from KH and was wondering if there was anything special I had to do, in order to welcome Shakyamuni into my house.
4) I am looking for an iconograohically and scripturally correct image of Padmasambhava, do you know where I might be able to find one that I can download and put on the altar I have at home?
Thanks for your time, hope things are well and please send my regards to Rinpoché!!
1. All gifts given by H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, be it a book, tshirt, toys, holy images and etc., are blessed by Rinpoche.
2. We are not in the position to comment on a practice given by your Guru. Please consult your Guru to understand clearly what instructions he has given you.
3. I’m happy for you to be inviting a holy image into your home. Kechara created this video specifically to educate people on inviting holy images to their homes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPoOJPt7qMs
4. Padmasambhava is not a main practice here in Kechara. If this is a practice from your guru, it will be good to consult your guru further on this. However, you might find this article inspiring
