Question asked by Janet Chan
What is a Dharma Questions? Do I have to be a monk to be enlighten? What does enlighten means? Do one has to meditate to experience it? How do you know if you are enlighten? and what do you do if you are enlighten? Do you have special powers to make miracles happened? How many types of Buddhas are there in the universe? Why is human form the best form to be in to practice in this realm?
Hi Janet,
It is good that you have so many questions to ask. It means you wish to have more knowledge. My advice for you would be to attend regular classes in Kechara or any centre. At the same time engage in a practice so that you can apply it in your daily life.
The purpose of studying dharma is so that we can obtain the wisdom to answer all the questions about ourselves and relationship with this world in its correct perspective.Ad hoc questions that pop out of our mind will only lead to more questions without being able to help us deal with our daily life’s problems.More beneficial to be a practitioner rather than a questioner : ))
