Transport Van from Edwin
Anywhere during traffic hour within the capital city of Kuala Lumpur or the surrounding suburbs (PJ, Sri Hartamas, TTDI, SS2, Kelana Jaya, Subang, Bangsar, Damansara, Bandar Utama, etc) can take you up to an hour or more to get to. I have sat in traffic, as many others have, for hundreds of hours. It is no picnic! If you can meditate in the car, you can be enlightened, it takes that long!! LOL.
Anyways, our Kechara Forest Retreat (http://retreat.kechara.com) centre is in Bentong which is one hour away from Kuala Lumpur. So the drive is not bad and it is pleasant most of the time during non-peak hours. It is a nice green drive for most of the stretch. We have many Kecharian staff who commute back and forth from Bentong and Kuala Lumpur often. Some don’t have cars or the hours are odd so carpooling is not always an option. Our Ms. Su Ming approached Mr Edwin Tan to sponsor a van for all of us and he immediately agreed. He is very considerate and supportive towards Kechara.
William and Carmen went today to get the logos done and our Kechara Staff van is ready!!
Ms. Su Ming will organize a driver, timing and shedules for this. We actually need two vans, but we have one for now and we are very happy!! This is the first of our many transport vans coming in the future!
My sincere thanks to Edwin for his continuous devotion, concern and generosity towards our goals.

Dear Rinpoche,
I rejoice on Datuk Edwin’s generosity to sponsor us a van. A van is very much needed for our transportation of staffs and also goods. The van will make our work much more time efficient and productive. With the huge sticker of Kechara and blog address on it, may many more will make connection with Rinpoche when they see it.
Humbly,
Chris Chong

Thank You Edwin for sponsoring the van. It’ll be very beneficial for people who are too tired to drive home after the long day and also will prevent from having accidents and the Ad at the back window… of rinpoches blog will also help to link many people to the blog and Kechara…….”Always make an effort to help others. You never know who might be going through a rough time”
A big thank you to Su Ming and Edwin for making this lovely van happen. Even though it is only one hour each way, some students do not have cars and it is not so safe for some of the more older students with eye problems to drive at night so this van would be very helpful. Kechara really thinks of everything to make Dharma practice conducive and comfortable for the modern person. However, without the generous support of sponsors like Edwin, we would not be able to achieve anything. His kindness is something to rejoice about, definitely.
Thank you Edwin to be kind enough to sponsor a vehicle for more people to do the buddha dharma. So wonderful to provide a convenient way to go to KFR.
Thank you Edwin for your generousity and caring to offer the van to KFR team.
It is not the van that is precious, it is the care and sincere offering that is precious, Edwin’s kind act has shown his Dharma development and transformation from the Dharma he’s got, Edwin is young and successful in his career, but he never take that as granted, he not only involve in the construction in Kechara Forest Retreat, but also he always gives whenever he can and never ask for reward.
A precious friend and Dharma brother anyone can get, thank you again for the van, this van has made travel back and forth to Bentong and KL became much easier especially those who worked whole day and needed to go back at night.
Thank you very much Mr Edwin Tan, this is very special gift sponsor to KFR .Nowadays Kecharians or volunteers who don’t have transport can go KFR by Van , so nice 🙂 Thank you Su Ming for suggest this thoughtful gift and thank you Rinpoche for sharing.
Wow, Edwin is so kind to do this. I am glad that he has sponsored a van for Kechara. He is very supportive indeed. And i also love the stickers on the van. Especially the blog sticker. This is good when there is traffic, then people can see the blog and the blog will increase in awareness. Very good.
Edwin is so kind to provide such a service just so that more people can come and benefit from KFR. He is extremely kind and thoughtful. He shows so much devotion towards Rinpoche as he wants to spread the Dharma.
I love the logo and BLOG.TSEMTULKU.COM on the back 😛
This is an absolutely great idea! Its also very communal for kecharians as well, as the driver drives and everyone on board can discuss plans or sleep haha. It is very generous and kind of Edwin Tan to sponsor this van. It would really benefit a lot of people and kecharians who don’t own cars to make their way to KFR. Glad to see transport being arranged from the suburbs to bentong, maybe in the future may have to convert the van into a Bus! Haha. Thanks Edwin Tan for your kind support!
Thank you Mr Edwin for your Generous gift to Kfr.The van will certainly benefit and make the journey more pleasant for a lot of Kecharians who need to be shuttled to Kfr on a daily purpose to complete the intended work there.
May all your obstacles be cleared as you are truly leading us a swift path to Kfr.
A big thank you to Mr Edwin Tan for sponsoring this transport van, it sure will benefit the Kecharians! And also thanks to Su Ming’s thoughtful idea of having a shuttle van to Kfr.
Thank you Mr Edwin Tan’s generosity sponsored a van for Kechara so that all of the staff who don’t have transport can go to Kechara Forest Retreat to do more work.
After a long day work in Kechara Forest Retreat sure we are tired and might not have strength to drive a long way home from Bentong.
Thank you for your concern and kind sponsorship towards Kechara.
Thank you Edwin and I am sure the van would be extremely necessary for those shuttling back and forth between KFR and KL. Although it is just about an hour drive but the Karak highway is a meandering journey and at high speeds, one can crash to the side in a single moment of shutting one’s eye. Just in the last few months, we already had one or two accidents already. The van would be extremely useful and it can save lives too! Thank you Edwin.
It’s very thoughtful of Edwin to sponsor a van for the Kecharians and volunteers to be transported to KFR. He has literally made everyone’s life easy! The traffic around Bentong area can be quite horrible at times, it took us 4-5 hours just to come back to PJ.
The van looks really awesome, love the blog link behind!
Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.
Thank you Edwin for your generous gift and Thanks also go to Su Ming for arranging it.
The big clear logo will surely catch the eye of everyone following the van where it goes.
A big thank you to Mr Edwin and not forgetting Ms Su Ming as well who takes the initiative to look for sponsors for the van which can benefit everyone.
Thumbs up for Ms Su Ming! Now we don’t need to worry about driving to and fro after a hard day’s work at KFR.
Thank you Edwin for your generosity and kindness, You have made it easier for people to go to KFR to contribute or visit. Also thank you for the driver who you are going to provide also. You are the best!
For staff who volunteers up in Kechara Forest Retreat on a weekly basis – the new Kechara van would be a great help to send staff to and fro KFR regularly. With a driver who just focus on safe driving, staff can spend the hour journey doing useful activities like sadhana, chant mantra, meditate and contemplate on dharma.
Thank you, Edwin Tan for the much valued gift that can help all of us.
谢谢 Mr Edwin from Hatten Group!
Thank you Edwin for sponsoring the van! I like the huge “BLOG.TSEMTULKU.COM”, looks very cool! 🙂
Wow..that is very very nice and generous of Edwin to sponsor a van for the hard working Kecharian for them to travel to Kechara Forest Retreat 🙂
Thank you very much, your contribution is very very much appreciated 🙂 Thank you Edwin! Wow got Rinpoche’s blog address some more hehehe…can promote Rinpoche at the same time, how cool!!
With a van, volunteers who are too young to drive and those who are too old to drive, can now sit back and enjoy the ride to and fro from Kechara Forest Retreat due to the kind and generous Edwin who sponsored this van:)
Dear Edwin,
Thank you so much for sponsoring the shuttle van for me and our fellow workers in the Dharma to travel up and down from their home to KFR to spend a day or two in the forest to volunteer.
I am very glad you sponsored the van not only does it help save the traveling cost but it is also good to travel in groups because it is also safe especially at night when the already dangerous highway in the day is even more dangerous at night.
Thank you so much Edwin for sponsoring the new van!
What a briliiant idea! Kechara does not just take care of one’s spirituality but takes care of the environment too; car pooling decreases carbon footprint. What a way to go green!
Thank you Su Ming for organising this and Thank You to our sponsor Mr Edwin Tan!
How nice! This van is especially important for those who commute to Kechara Forest Retreat on a daily basis and for those who work hard all day long under the hot hot sun. Sure after a day of hard work we will feel tired that’s why this shuttle van is very very useful!
Thank you very much Edwin for your generous sponsorship!
Wow!!!!! Edwin is so kind to sponsor a van for Rinpoche’s
work.
Nowadays kechara is getting bigger and bigger so we will need more transportation.
Soon enough we will be global so we will need transportation to fetch volunteers, guest E.T.C……
Thank you Edwin for giving your continuous support to kechara.
Thank you Mr Edwin! You are really kind and generous to offer the van to KFR! Rejoice! And of course Su Ming always do a fantastic job!
Rinpoche is so right, if we can meditate during the hours of jam and travelling, we’d be Enlightened before we reach our destination. LOL
It is really good to have the van to fetch the volunteers to and fro Kechara Forest Retreat as some of them will be too tired to drive home after a hard day work! And some may not be able to drive at night. This is perfect!
Rejoice! What a fantastic act, Bro. Edwin! You are ferrying people to Enlightenment!
Yes, a van is definitely most welcome for Kecharians who want to go back to the city after a day’s work in Kechara Forest Retreat and they do not have to drive but just sit back and relax. Made possible by the generosity of Edwin Tan.
Edwin, one can only say thank you but your very meritorious generosity deserves more than that. Your kindness is much appreciated by all of us at Kechara and most of all by all those who cannot drive and imagine now can go with their friends in this great big van so kindly sponsored by you. Much Much Appreciation.
Thank you so much Mr Edwin for sponsoring the van. Some of the hardworking Kecharian staff have been commute back and forth from Kechara Forest Retreat and Kuala Lumpur. With this van, it will be easier for them travel to & fro Kechara Forest Retreat and KL and at times it will be safer for them as some of them might not have enough sleep but still driving during odd hours.
Edwin is so thoughtful for sponsoring this van. Thanks to Su Ming too for making this happened!
Beside this, I like the Kechara logo & “Blog.tsemtulku.com” on the car! More people will know us now! 🙂
Nice! How considerate of Edwin to sponsor a van for the benefit of others! Now Kecharians can commute easier.. Perhaps in future I could tag along to KFR in this cool van! =D
I agree with what you said, Rinpoche. With the amount of time we are stuck in those horrific traffic jams could very well be used for meditation till we are enlightened! hehe
Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche! =)
