KB’s New House in Lumbini, Nepal
Dear Rinpoche,
I hope Rinpoche is fine. I am always praying for Rinpoche’s long life and good health. Thank you Rinpoche for everything. I have sent Rinpoche lay out of my plan for my house. One copy i have given to Suming for Rinpoche to see. She will explain to Rinpoche in detail. Sorry Rinpoche for Delaying for information about this. When i went to my village all my plan gone upside down. All my relatives asked me to give old house to my brother as he doesn’t have anything. Now i am giving my old house to him. I am going to built new house in new place which i have already bought it. Now i am in lumbini.
Here very hot i wish i can go back to my ladrang but some times doesn’t happen what we want. If i don’t make house now later it will be more expensive. I have no words to thank Rinpoche what Rinpoche has doing for me.
I miss Rinpoche and Ladrang everyday. I am starting building house from Jun 15th. I will update Rinpoche on contraction work every three day with pictures. Ok R thats all for today please rest well and take care.
Thank you
Regards KB
( A nice email from Kb that I am sharing with everyone.)
( You may click on either blueprint of the house above to see it larger and clearer)
Kb has been working with me over 5 years. A sincere, loving, caring and very nice person. He is now building a small family home in Lumbini!! Lumbini is the place where Lord Buddha was born. How blessed and what a nice place to live.
Above is the plans for a small one story house with a small VAJRA YOGINI CHAPEL on the roof. So in this chapel a Vajra Yogini image will be kept for the family to worship, do pujas and make offerings daily!! Exciting. Kb is a very religious and devout person. Kb is Hindu and loves Vajra Yogini also Setrap!
I’ve included plans that Kb sent me for his house plans. I wish him great luck in building this small simple house. When completed, his father, wife and brother’s wife will be staying in the house. Kb’s father is elderly and needs a comfortable place to live. Kb is very filial toward his father as the mom has passed away already.
So Kb will keep us updated with the progress of the building and kind Raj Kumar will help.
As I get updates, I will post here. Do send warm messages, prayers and love to KB during this interim please. He has a lot of work and overseeing building is not easy and it is KB’s first time.
Tsem Rinpoche

This is a great read. Reading about KB’s progress update to Rinpoche shows his commitment and gratitude to Rinpoche. He’s always thinking about Rinpoche.
He’s so very hardworking as he even helped out with the construction work itself. And, he’s very savvy in realizing that he needs to treat the construction crew gently, coaxing them instead of scolding them to work faster. Perhaps a skill learned from Rinpoche?
Congratulations, KB on your accomplishment of providing a very nice home for your father and family. I’m sure your father must have been very proud of you.
Flight StatusPerhaps the biggest surprise about airport Web sites is that
some offer updates on flight arrivals and departures, in
a recent study, said there were gaping inconsistencies
in the witness accounts. In an interview with the New
York City. At the time of day and the part of the story.
Twenty-five city bars and restaurants signed on to provide information in return for
a 19. The game has also been released on bail
while police continue their investigations.
Reading his letter posted here, I wonder who is this person who can write such good English. And he is updating his house construction progress to Rinpoche. Then a picture shown him digging, he is building his own house? I was wow. Impressive! Other picture shown women helping in the work as well. Very different from people in Malaysia.
KB deserves all the good blessings that he gets from Tsem rinpoche as he has worked very hard and loyally in serving his guru with very deep Guru devotion. All his peers speak well of him and unanimously agreed that he seldom gave problems to anybody and is stable. On his personality side he is a man filled with Filai piety in that he thinks of his father who is elderly first when the house is ready. He makes sure he has a comfortable place to stay. His display of his caring and sharing nature by putting his wife and brother’s wife with him in the same house. His house plans which also included a small vajrayogini’s chapel on the roof-top to do pujas, offerings and for family worshipping are evidence of his great respect for his guru’s teachings and to always to follow the guru’s good advice.
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for sharing the pictures and plans of KB’s new house. I am new to Kechara and have not met KB but judging from the letters he sent to Rinpoche I am able to feel his love and devotion to Rinpoche. He has not forgotten Rinpoche’s love, help and guidance and is eternally grateful. He has such a happy face and exudes so much warmth. The many well wishes and warm regards shows how much the people here loved him. I send my best wishes to KB and pray that the construction of his house will proceed smoothly, safely and successfully.
One of the very first few events I attended at Kechara House was the Wesak Day ceremony in 2007. Rinpoche was giving refuge at this time, and as I watched from the audience, I remember seeing KB receiving his refuge name – and although I do not remember exactly what it is, it had something to do with Vajrayogini.
What I DO remember is that Rinpoche already mentioned that KB would build a temple to Vajrayogini in Nepal. Thus him creating a Vajrayogini chapel at the top of his house comes as no surprise. In fact, perhaps one day in the future, KB’s home will be a pilgrimage site for the many spiritual seekers who visit Lumbini on pilgrimage. After all, there are already so many sacred Vajrayogini chapels scattered around Kathmandu, each noteworthy and oh so precious in their own way. And they all started the way KB’s vajrayogini chapel did – a sincere person or family building and maintaining a chapel so that others may receive her blessings.
KB is a man of few words, but his loyalty and devotion to Rinpoche is enormous. As the saying goes “Action speaks louder than words”. When KB first came to Malaysia he couldn’t speak English. He took up English upon Rinpoche’s advice and now he can converse and write so well. His willingness to improve himself showed that he is very devoted to his Guru and the dharma as he knew that by improving himself he can contribute more towards the dharma. He even took up driving upon Rinpoche’s advice. KB is a very compassionate man, very helpful and kind with a permanent smile on his face. You can always find him taking good care of Mumu especially those days when Mumu was sick.
dear rinpoche kb so kind and so helpfull. he is a nice prosan he love us so much.i m very happy. soon he have new house.not eszy to make new house. thank you rinpoche for shering.
Dear KB, may all obstacles be cleared so that you can complete building your house soon. In your floor plan allocation, it is very interesting to see how you have put consideration, kindness and generosity. You have one guest room allocated, meaning 4 of you have to share 2 rooms – i am quite sure, based on Rinpoche’s description of your devotion to your father, that one room is already for his use. Instead of using the upper floor as a bedroomw with a view, you have dedicated it for a Chapel. Dedication, sincerity and commitment to practice. Thank you KB for showing us how we should translate our practice into every matter and plan.
Dear Rinpoche
This is my first try hands-on to comment & reply to a post in your blog. Thank you for sharing with us KB’s joy, hapiness & appeciation to you from building a home for parents & family. I feel deeply touched by his filial piety to his father. And to you Rinpoche, for his loyalty, care, love & sacrefice for you. I am very proud of you KB.
Anila
I have not known KB for long but from the few times I have had the chance to meet him in the ladrang, from the kind remarks and comments others make of him and from his email above, he is a remarkable person.
How he has touched peoples lives just being himself. How dedicated and humble he is. He is truly a gem of a person and may KB be an example to us all who would like to give up in some way or another in certain things we do in life and for Dharma…
Remember that he learnt a foreign language living in a foreign country AND learning to drive in order to be able to serve Rinpoche better. Perhaps it may sound mundane or easy even, but if I put myself in his shoes, gosh, I can hardly pronounce my saddhanas in Tibetan properly let alone string a proper sentence in Tibetan! If his clear example is not dedication, I truly dont know what is!
Thank you KB for teaching us this simple lesson and our wishes are with you for the safe and speedy construction of your home and that may you be back with Rinpoche and us when our new Gompa opens. For those of you who want updates, do click on this link:

KB always has a smile for you all the time and very sincere and quietly doing his work. Never gives any problems always helpful. I did hear about him learning how to drive, and that he had to drive Rinpoche around too. I’m happy KB made the most of the opportunity to learn, hence he is able to serve Rinpoche in a much better capacity. From here you can see that Rinpoche invests a lot of time and effort to benefit his students. Both the language and the driving skill will serve KB really well!
Malaysians really have it easy, I don’t know anyone in Malaysia who has had to dig their own house foundation. Pampered lot Malaysians are!
Rinpoche had many assistants for all these years. They come and they go. Afew went away and hasn’t been back. Afew went and came back. One or two who stayed back are still being trained. KB came to us more than 5 years ago, is consistent, hard working, never gave problems and very stable. What an honour for us to have him. I remember when KB first came, he spoke limited English. Later Rinpoche asked me to sign him at an English tuition centre. I sat with him through his assesment test and poor KB was so nervous as though he was sitting for a high school examination. After afew months, his English improved so much that when i read his sms which is so clearly worded and with minimal spelling mistakes, i know that KB has taken the tuiton classes seriously and pushed himself to learn. After proving his capability and willingness to learn, Rinpoche advised KB to take driving lessons so that KB can expand his duties and serve the dharma better. KB did so and upon passing his test (i think after 3 tries!) he was awarded with a cool looking black Kembara. To compliment on KB and all the things he has been awarded with would fill up a book. The essence here is that one’s educational background and nationality (coming from a underdeveloped country) is not a hindrance to one’s development if one puts in the right effort. KB is a shining star!
It’s so nice to hear news from KB. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing these news with all.
wishing KB well and sending love and prayers to him and family..
Rejoice for KB! May happiness be with you and your family! 😉
