Auspicious Mongolian Omen

Dear special friends,

We have another interesting short post for you. As you know we have Kechara in the city with its 13 departments. I was searching for something in a more green area. Through the help of various students and events, we came upon a piece of land. I went with a group of students to see the land for the first time and upon arrival we were amazed at the greenery. We did a short prayer to Dorje Shugden wondering if this land was right for us or not and immediately a very light rain fell for a few moments from a clear sky. Myself and the people with me were at peace and felt happy. We felt this land is for us and that for simple people like us, good omens would appear.

We obtained a loan, went through the sales papers and acquired the land. As we were going through this process, out of the blue, I received a postcard from a Mongolian monk whom I never met with gifts. I have never met this monk and yet he posted this postcard with gifts wishing me a Happy New Year! I was thinking, “Who is this person whom I’ve never met in Mongolia?” I am half Mongolian from my mother’s side. So I appreciated the gifts and snapped a picture of the card and forwarded the pictures to a few friends and students. Didn’t think anymore about it at all. I liked the Dorje Shugden face peering from the sky though on the card. I thought that is auspicious.

Later I went to visit our then barren but green Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) land to explore. We had not started building yet. As we were driving into our land on the road, one of my students Martin stopped the car and pointed at the scene. And then showed me the card he kept on his smartphone which I had sent. I was like, “Whaaaaaat???!!!” It was an exact scene of the postcard minus monk and World Peace Protector’s face. I just stood there for a moment thinking of the light rain that happened when we first arrived at the land and now this. This was really a clear omen that my Protector Dorje Shugden wants us to have this land and build something to benefit others. I had no more doubts at all. Not just me, but many people receive clear signs from Dorje Shugden. Some people may deduce it to a coincidence, and that is your choice, but when it happens enough times, I know it’s a sign. I have been seeing good omens and signs from Dorje Shugden over the last 30 years. I doubt my ability to interpret the omens as I am ordinary but when I consult with my teachers or eminent lamas, they confirm the same thing many of the times. Now the largest Dorje Shugden statue in the world sits upon this land. This reminds me of the card with Dorje Shugden’s huge blessed face peering at us from the sky!

Now three years down the road, we are finished with Phase 1 of Kechara Forest Retreat and beginning Phase 2.

I have always trusted this gentle, kind and wise protector Dorje Shugden for the past 30 years. He has been instrumental in many positive things and my works growing. The famous and great Lama Yeshe used to say that all his works have become successful and beneficial solely due to the assistance of his principal protector Dorje Shugden. Lama Yeshe was a devoted follower. I agree with Lama Yeshe.

Sincerely,
Tsem Rinpoche

This is the incredible postcard sent to me from Mongolia which uncannily resemble our new Kechara Forest Retreat prior to building

This is the land which was Kechara Forest Retreat when we first purchased it. It is located in Bentong, Malaysia. It looks just like the postcard from Mongolia. In the open space of our land there is just this one single mango tree standing proud and strong. Now a 24ft (7.3m) Dorje Shugden statue sits on this land.

Although my abilities are limited, due to the blessings of my lama and Protector, beneficial works can happen. It can happen for you, your lives, your work and your centre too. All of us suffer so many obstacles and we need help. Trust Dorje Shugden. Dorje Shugden is forgiving. Even if you had negative thoughts and words against Him in the past, He is very forgiving and has no trace of anger as all those were eliminated aeons ago since He is fully enlightened. Trust your mind and your hopes in this great being who is no other than Manjushri. Bring Him into your lives and you will see things change. What does He want? Your temporary happiness and eventual liberation from samsara. Appeal to Him and trust Him all the way. You will never regret it.

I’ve always wanted a huge Dorje Shugden chapel with his huge image inside so many may benefit since decades ago. Now it’s come true.

This is the first time we laid eyes on the land that would later becoming Kechara Forest Retreat. It was on this clear day after prayers to Dorje Shugden He gave a clear sign.

Below are some comments and recollections by my students who accompanied myself there on the visit that day and experienced what I saw too.

Comment by PASTOR LOH SENG PIOW, Personal Attendant of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche

It was January 31st 2012, an afternoon with a lightly overcast sky, but nothing close to dark raining clouds, Tsem Rinpoche and a few of us were standing on the main road looking directly at what is to be the future KFR land, talking and discussing, in general the feeling is good. Rinpoche asked us to be quiet for a moment to feel the environment… besides a motorcycle passing by, it was quiet and peaceful, with a little rustling of the leaves due to light breeze, birds and insects sound, an instant connection with nature which is conducive for a retreat place. Then Rinpoche spoke something like “Dorje Shugden, if this is the right place, please show some sign…” After around 10 seconds, I felt very light raindrops from the sky, just a few sparse drops lasting around 5 seconds, and it stopped. The sign was obvious, although it was a sunless sky, usually the cirrus clouds would hardly drop a few raindrops, and at that precise moment just after Rinpoche made his prayer…

Comment by DATUK MAY PHNG, President of Kechara House

On that day, Rinpoche and a group of us went to view a few pieces of land identified by our search party led by Martin.

The last piece of land to view was along Jalan Chamang, Bentong. We stood on the outside of the land and everyone of us liked it.

Then Rinpoche asked for a sign from our Protector. Without overhead clouds nor lightning and thunder, large drops of rain fell on precisely where we’re standing and then there was no more rain.

That was the sign from our Protector.

Comment by DATO’ RUBY KHONG, President of Kechara Soup Kitchen

One day Rinpoche called a few of his students to a meeting and said to us that we should have a retreat centre so that we don’t have trouble with neighbours who often complain about too many cars parked in the neighbourhood. It must not be more than an hour’s drive away from KL because if too far, the city folks will be more tired by the time they come back to the city than when they started off. Rinpoche assigned a few students to recce suitable land and then propose to us.

After a few weeks, three pieces of land were identified. A day was picked and we went in two cars. Among those were Datuk May, Pastor Henry, Irene, Martin and Li Kheng. The first piece was near Genting Sempah which we all thought would be a good idea. Unfortunately, we could hear clearly the sound of the traffic from the highway. Second piece was also unsuitable because the agent had misinformed us that there was a stream running through the land but it turned out that the stream bordered the land.

We were disappointed and one of the students said we should just cancel going to the third piece because it is further and would need to go through Bentong town which usually has heavy traffic. However, Pastor Henry and I decided that we should just go since we have already gone that far. Everyone was tired as it was a hot day.

When we arrived at the third piece of land along Jalan Chamang, everyone came down and stood outside because it had fence around it. Rinpoche walked straight to me, was in a jovial mood and asked if I like this land. I said, “I love it” to which Rinpoche replied, “I love it too.” We saw acres of flat land and a hill lock and it would be easier to build than the others that we saw which had more challenging terrain. The rest of the entourage liked what they saw too except for one or two.

Rinpoche asked everyone to keep quiet and concentrate and just soak in the environment and see how we feel. Then Rinpoche looked up and said, “If this is the right piece of land for us to build what we intended to, show us a sign.” We all stood quietly and focused. I think in less than one and the half minutes, it drizzled. It was a sunny day and the drizzle was just above and around us, and nowhere else. Everyone felt it. I mean it was not an imagination. The Rinpoche looked up to the sky again, pressed his palms together and said, “Thank You.”

A few weeks later, the Mongolian postcard arrived.

Comment by PASTOR HENRY OOI, How KFR Land Was Found

After another piece of land met with some obstacles and we didn’t build there, Rinpoche asked a few people to scout around neighbouring lands even as far as until Bentong. One of them was Martin who contacted some real estate agents and I went with him to view a few pieces of land. One of them was KFR land. The real estate agent and his wife showed us the land from the main road of Jalan Chamang because the gate to the land was padlocked.

Rinpoche wanted to visit some of the lands we saw and together with a few Kecharians we viewed two other pieces of land before KFR. It was a sunny evening, around 5++PM when we arrived at Jalan Chamang. As the gate was still padlocked Rinpoche walked up and down the road fronting KFR land. Rinpoche asked our opinion and the general consensus was that this land is suitable because it’s just at the road giving easy accessibility into the land; available power and water source, and terrains not steep compared to Genting Sempah. The only setback was that there was no signal for mobile phone.

After the general consensus Rinpoche looked up and said (not verbatim), “My lord, if this is the land for us to build our retreat centre, please show us a sign.” Rinpoche asked us to be quiet because we were talking among ourselves. A few minutes passed and then we felt a very light shower of rain on us but only around the area where we stood. Tiny drops of rain fell on my glasses and as I looked up I could see the sky was clear with no clouds. Rinpoche said, “Thank you, my Lord.” Then Rinpoche spoke to us, “Our protector has given us the sign. We should buy the land.” The rest was history.

~ Pastor Henry Ooi

Comment by IRENE LIM

As we turned into Chamang, Rinpoche said, “This remind us of the road in Mungod going into Gaden Monastery, isn’t it? This is so fun, it has been a long since we rode together like this.” And I nodded in agreement and said, “Yes Rinpoche.” The next thing I knew the rain slowed down and disappeared as we approached the land. When Pastor Seng Piow drew the car to a halt, the rain had stopped. Then Rinpoche turned around to me again and said, “Irene, didn’t I tell you the rain will stop?” I was in awe and speechless. We went down to the roadside by the land to view the land. By which time, Datuk May, Pastor Henry and Martin Chow (he was the one who found the land and led us there) had also arrived to join us in the viewing. As we stood at the roadside discussing the land, Rinpoche announced loudly, “If this is the right place for us, show us signs.” There was a complete silence amongst us and we waited. There came a drizzle around us, although the rain had completely stopped when our car had pulled to the roadside and we alighted. We all stood in silence for awhile to affirm ourselves that what we had seen, our eyes were not playing tricks with us. We knew Rinpoche was happy with the find and the gods had shown us the sign. Thereafter, we immediately sign up the purchase of the land that to become Kechara Forest Retreat now.

Comment by MARTIN CHOW

I remember clearly the day Tsem Rinpoche first saw the Chamang land on which Kechara Forest Retreat is built on today.

A few weeks before that, instructions were given to search for a suitable piece of land to build a retreat centre and one of the criteria was that it had to be sufficiently flat and also within 30 minutes drive from the Kechara World Peace Centre site at Genting Sempah.

Finally, a short list of 4 potential sites was made and we and the senior liaisons at the time invited Rinpoche to visit the short-listed sites. On the day of the visit, the Chamang land was the last on the list of sites to see. Just before that we had visited another piece on land in Bentong near the Petronas patrol kiosk. Right after that visit and just as Rinpoche got into the car to drive up to Chamang, it poured the kind of rain that you don’t want to be caught in. I could not even see the hood of the car with the wipers going at full speed.

The question was raise whether we should just abandon the visit but Rinpoche wanted to see it anyway. I was wondering how Rinpoche would be able to see the Chamang land in that kind of storm.

About 100 metres from what is now the main entrance to KFR, the rain suddenly stopped. I remember that it did not dissipate into a drizzle but rather it just miraculously stopped. Irene Lim who was in the car with Rinpoche would tell me later that Rinpoche had said to her that the rain would stop, and it did just that.

Rinpoche got out of the car and with the rest of us looked at the land but we could only see from outside the gate as we did not have the key to enter. I remember Rinpoche remarking that the land looked very good. After a while Rinpoche made a prayer to our Protector, Dorje Shugden and asked that if this was where Dorje Shugden wanted Rinpoche to build a retreat centre from where the lineage would spread worldwide, then for the Protector to give Rinpoche a sign. Remember that the rain had stopped and in fact the place was quite dry. But as soon as Rinpoche made that request to Dorje Shugden, a single drop of rain fell on Rinpoche’s head. Just that single drop and with that Rinpoche said that the Protector had given his sign that Chamang was to be where KFR should be built.

Months after that as KFR was being built, Dorje Shugden would manifest many signs and miracles.

Comment by PHNG LI KHENG, First visit to KFR Land in 2012

It was Chinese New Year and I was back in Malaysia for the holiday season with my family. One of the highlights of my trips back to Malaysia included spending time with Tsem Rinpoche and fellow Kecharians.

The Chinese New Year of 2012 was especially memorable because it was the year we found the perfect piece of land to build a retreat that will be a haven for spiritual seekers.

On the 8th day of Chinese New Year, Martin, a fellow Kecharian who was assigned the honor to find suitable land to build our first retreat center organized for Rinpoche to view two pieces of properties. The “entourage” who accompanied Rinpoche for this occasion was Datuk May, Dato Ruby, Pastor Henry, Pastor Seng Piow and Irene as well as Martin.

We arrived at the first location and looked around; opinions were shared. Then, the sky started looking gloomy, prompting us to get into the car and head to the second location – Jalan Chamang, Bentong.

As we drove into Bentong town, with the bus station on our left, it started to pour heavily all of a sudden. I remember thinking to myself: “Uh oh, it would be impossible to see the land with this weather!” However, the 2 vehicles continued to drive through Bentong town. Just as we made the left turn onto Jalan Chamang, the rain slowed…and by the time we reached the land, it stopped completely! I understand that heavy rain passes fast… but 5 minutes is really quite exceptional. I remember thinking to myself: This must be Rinpoche “at work” because I hear of stories where highly attained Dharma masters have the ability to control the weather.

Anyway, we all got out of the car, and as we can see in the photos, we did not need to use an umbrella. The group looked at the land and the map, we were saying that the flat land in front combined with the hills at the back of the land would be perfect for the retreat space. As the group seemed to like the land, Rinpoche asked us to be silent. As the natural sounds of nature surround us, Rinpoche requested for the Protector to give us a sign if this was a suitable place for our work to flourish and benefit many. A few seconds after Rinpoche ended his “conversation”, I felt a few sprinkle of rain drop on my face. Awed, everyone looked at each other after experiencing the miracle. After those few sprinkles of raindrop, it did not drizzle or rain again. Therefore, it was truly a positive sign in respond to Rinpoche’s request.

We hung around a little longer before heading back to Kuala Lumpur.

As we drove back, I felt very privileged to have witnessed the kindness of our Guru and Protector in guiding us to do benevolent work. It is this brief moment of affirmation that maintained my faith in the work we do in Kechara Forest Retreat regardless of the challenges and obstacles.

Today, phase 1 of Kechara Forest Retreat is completed and we have welcomed family and close friends to enjoy this sanctuary of peace and happiness. It never fails to fill me with joy when I see how people heal and simply find joy by soaking up the blessed energies of the retreat. I look forward to the completion of Kechara Forest Retreat so that we will be able to welcome more guests.

    Dear friends,

Tibet has produced many powerful meditations, rituals and guidelines to help us gain spiritual protection, gain wisdom and higher states of consciousness. In general Tibet has produced many powerful methods for the growth of our spiritual evolution. Dorje Shugden is an angel, a saint, a powerful spiritual protector-warrior who originated 350 years ago when a highly awakened Tibetan Lama fulfilled his vows to become a special being to grant protection, wisdom, material needs, safety when travelling (normal and astral travel) and spiritual awakening. Both the Great 5th Dalai Lama and the current His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama composed short yet effective prayers to invoke upon the power and blessings of this special saint and protector. One can recite either one of the prayers that you feel suits you, anytime or even daily. When you feel a special need for help, you can recite either prayer anytime. When you are feeling down, afraid or just need a blessing, you can recite them. After reciting either invocation, it is good to chant the mantra of Dorje Shugden: Om Benza Wiki Bitana Soha.

You do not have to be a Buddhist or practitioner of any religion to invoke upon the blessings and protection of this special enlightened and awakened angel Dorje Shugden. He helps all without discrimination or bias as he is filled with compassion and love. Divinity has no boundaries, they help all who call upon them.

Enclosed are the prayers in English, Chinese and Tibetan.

May you be safe, protected and blessed.

Divination (‘mo’) Text by Dorje Shugden

This is an important divination (‘mo’) text composed by Dorje Shugden himself. Dorje Shugden took trance of the Choyang Dulzin oracle lama, the senior oracle of Gaden Shartse Monastery, and instantly on the spot composed this text within two hours.

The divination text contains information on how to use dice to do divination for the future and is known to be highly accurate. When practitioners use this text, they will be in direct contact with Dorje Shugden to get answers to questions about the future. It is for those who have good samaya with Dorje Shugden and are free of the eight worldly dharmas to be of benefit to others in divining the future.

His Holiness the 10th Panchen Lama

Tibetans commonly refer to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama as the “sun and moon” of Tibetan Buddhism. They are the center of Tibetan Buddhist civilization, which draws to its sphere of influence millions of non-Tibetan practitioners. The Panchen Lama’s incarnation line began with the 16th abbot of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen (1570 – 1662). He was bestowed the title of Panchen Lama by His Holiness the 5th Dalai Lama after being declared as an emanation of Amitabha.

After being given the title, his three previous incarnations were posthumously also bestowed the title, making Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen the 4th Panchen Lama. He became a teacher to many Tibetans, Bhutanese and Mongolian religious figures, including His Holiness the 4th and 5th Dalai Lamas, and the 1st Jetsun Dampa of Mongolia. A prolific author, Chokyi Gyeltsen is credited with over a hundred compositions, including a number of commentaries and ritual texts that remain central in the Gelukpa tradition today. Along with his role as a teacher of the Dharma, the Panchen Lamas are usually responsible for the recognition of the rebirths of the Dalai Lamas, and vice versa.

The 10th Panchen Lama, Lobsang Trinley Lhundrub Chokyi Gyeltsen (19 February 1938 – 28 January 1989) continued both the spiritual and political roles of his predecessors. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, his contemporary, was even heard to say and echo the Panchen Lama’s own words that the Dalai Lama would safeguard Tibet from the outside while the Panchen Lama would safeguard Tibet from the inside, as he never left Tibet after the political troubles of 1959. He was truly loved by the Tibetans, all the way until his passing. When he taught, thousands of people would attend, not only from his own Gelug lineage, but masters and practitioners from all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.

At his sprawling monastery of Tashi Lhunpo, he has a special chapel specifically dedicated to Dorje Shugden, where prayers and rituals are performed on a daily basis. In his great omniscience the Panchen Lama held Dorje Shugden as the principal Dharma protector of the monastery. He also personally propitiated Dorje Shugden among other Dharma protectors, and even wrote extensive prayers and rituals to Dorje Shugden. These rituals and prayers are contained within his ‘sung bum’ or collected works, which are provided here. As such a great lama, with an erudite and clear understanding of the Buddhist scriptures, a teacher to millions in both Tibet and China, from an established incarnation line and an emanation of the Buddha Amitabha, he could not be mistaken about his practice of Dorje Shugden.

His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama is known for his composition of commentaries and practice texts that are still in use by contemporary Buddhist practitioners both in Tibet and across the world. One of these is a powerful ritual composition propitiating the compassionate Dorje Shugden.

Upon the request by Acharya Lobsang Jangchub to compose a shorter version of the prayer (sadhana) for the exhortation of activities of Dorje Shugden, Panchen Lama immediately composed an abbreviate form of Dorje Shugden’s Kangsol. This text is entitled “Manjunatha’s (Tsongkapa) Lineage protector Dorje Shugden and five forms wrathful propitiations and confessional prayers and fulfilment of activities rites” or “Melodious sound of Accomplishment of the Four Activities” for short. Once the prayers were completed, he had signs and strong feelings that Dorje Shugden has been working hard to protect the Buddhadharma in general and the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa specifically.

Mirroring the abilities of one of his earlier incarnations, Khedrub Je, a disciple of Lama Tsongkhapa and master of both sutra and tantra, the Panchen Lama used his compositional skill and poetic prowess to create a masterful sadhana. Worthy of note is a praise in which the first letter of each verse is a Tibetan vowel. Such compositions are rarely seen, and have historically only been used when propitiating senior Dharma protectors such as Palden Lhamo and Kalarupa.

The Panchen Lama also stated that while composing the Dorje Shugden sadhana (prayers) he was filled with a sense of happiness and bliss. He ends the composition with not only his official title but his ordination name, Tenzin Trinley Jigme Choje Wangchuk, endorsing the validity of his work. He composed the sadhana in his own Tashi Lhunpo monastery while in the Hall of Clear Light and Bliss.

Dorje Shugden is a powerful protector deity who is also an emanation of Manjushri, a wisdom bestowing Buddha. Therefore, he has great ability to help us to progress further on the spiritual path. He does this by helping us to overcome obstacles and problems for the modern individual.

Due to his enlightened nature, Dorje Shugden is able to manifest 32 deities and within the same abode resides Setrap and Kache Marpo:-

    1. 5 Dorje Shugden families or emanations. They consists of the following:-

    – Dulzin Dorje Shugden, which performs activities to eliminate inner and outer obstacles.
    – Shize, which performs activities to pacify all illnesses and disease.
    – Gyenze, which performs activities to increase all desirable material and spiritual wealth.
    – Wangze, which performs activities to control difficult people and circumstances.
    – Trakze, which performs activities to wrathfully eliminate all insurmountable obstacles and life-threatening situations.

    2. 9 Mothers. They represent protection of the five senses and developing control of the four elements. These are all attributes that signify their ability to assist tantric practitioners with their higher meditations.

    3. 8 Guiding Monks. They represent the Eight Great Bodhisattvas (Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Vajrapani, Samantabhadra, Maitreya, Kshitigarbha, Akashagarbha, Sarva-nivarana-viskambini) and they bring about the growth of the Dharma, through the Sangha, Dharma practitioners and Dharma establishments.

    4. 10 Youthful & Wrathful Attendants. They represent the ten wrathful attendants to avert inner and outer obstacles. They are beings who are from Mongolia, China, Kashmir, India, Bengali, etc.

    5. Setrap. He is a senior Dharma Protector from India and an emanation of Amitabha Buddha. He had enthroned Dorje Shugden as an authentic Dharma Protector. Therefore, he also resides within the same mandala of Dorje Shugden.

    6. Kache Marpo. He is not an emanation of Dorje Shugden but he is still an enlightened Dharma Protector in his own right. He was originally known as Tsiu Marpo of Samye Monastery. However, he has placed himself under the service of Dorje Shugden as his chief minister, performing many activities in order to protect and benefit practitioners. Therefore, he stands guard at the main entrance of Dorje Shugden’s mandala. He often takes trance of qualified mediums to speak.

    7. Namkar Barzin. He is the reincarnation of an old Mongolian monk and when he passed away in Phari area of Tibet, his spirit was placed as a powerful assistant of Dorje Shugden. He guards and protects buildings and great institutions especially those that benefit others. He rides on a mythical Gyaling animal that resembles a goat but with scales.

These sacred images are available on *Vajrasecrets. They are made of high quality alloy and are one of a kind. They are based on the lineage of His Holiness Panchen Rinpoche’s monastery, Tashilhunpo in Shigatse, Tibet. In fact, the iconography of these statues are based on detailed photographs taken by H. E. Tsem Rinpoche during a trip to Tashilhunpo’s protector chapel. These are based exactly as the 10th Panchen Lama’s personal collection.

It is really very interesting to read how KFR land was found and built.
When Rinpoche had the intention of building a retreat land not too far from KL close to World Peace Centre. He and his close students started to go out to hunt.

After visiting the last 2 places and they were proceeded towards Bentong where there was heavy downfall and they thought not to carry on. But Rinpoche said that it will stop and to proceed. So they they entered Bentong town finally turn to Chamang Road to the place they were suppose to view.
Just a short distance before they reached the destined land the rain stopped. They got out of the car to view but could not enter as the gate was locked and they do not have the key to access.

They all acclaimed they like the land and Rinpoche walked a few steps away and asked Dorje Shugden whether this is the right place and if it is so, give a sign. Almost immediately a few drops of rain fell on Rinpoche’s head and a slight drizzle of rain fell on the group area.

They went back and proceeded to purchase the land. Out of the blue Rinpoche received a card of a tree standing near by and a mountain way behind with Dorje Shugden’s peering in the sky. Rinpoche took a picture and sent to the group.

Few days later Rinpoche decided to visit the the land again and as they approached ‘KFR’ Martin stopped the car and acclaimed is this scene similar to the picture Rinpoche sent us excluding Dorje Shugden’s face on top.

Is it auspicious? Indeed it is to me.

This was a momentous day, whereby a land is chosen to further the spread of the Gaden lineage in this part of the world. May Kechara Forest Retreat bring more and powerful benefits and blessings to all who join and participate in tis activities. Many many scholars, teachers, geshes arise to benefit all sentient beings.

I think that the land has exceptional qualities because it was chosen by Dorje Shugden based on our karma and affinity of the people here and in the future. Since the beginning, I have been reading and hearing about exception stories regarding the land and how there was just incredible signs.

That is just Dorje Shugden at work and this is how he manifest guidance even for the growth of Kechara and the lineage as a whole. This Dharma Protector really manifest protection and guidance that is palpable and that has real incidence that attest to his powers and ability. I especially think the card is not just a blessed coincidence but the actually workings of Dorje Shugden that the land indicated is indeed the one.

He works not just on the scale of up to an entire organization and he can also guide and assist one’s spiritual path as well. If we place our full trust in him, we can achieve quite a lot spiritually in this life and especially for our future lives, which is Dharmically and logically more important.

We are so fortunate because able to meet a qualified guru to teach us dharma and the practice of dharma protector Dorje Shugden. Just like the famous and great Lama Yeshe, a devoted follower and rely on Dorje Shugden used to say that all his works have become successful and beneficial solely due to the assistance of his principal protector Dorje Shugden. As such, we should have strong faith in our guru and Dorje Shugden.

Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing. May all of Rinpoche’s aspirations be fulfilled and growth of KFR be successful for the benefit of others.

  16. Lum Kok Luen on Jun 9, 2017 at 5:28 pm

KFR is so blessed and holy to benefit many in the future is truly the manifestation of the pure kindness and compassion of Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden.

Rinpoche said: “This was really a clear omen that my Protector Dorje Shugden wants us to have this land and build something to benefit others. I had no more doubts at all. Not just me, but many people receive clear signs from Dorje Shugden. Some people may deduce it to a coincidence, and that is your choice, but when it happens enough times, I know it’s a sign. I have been seeing good omens and signs from Dorje Shugden over the last 30 years.”

This is truly amazing. Our Protector and Rinpoche work in so many miraculous ways to purely to benefit us all.

And today, KFR is so successful and ready to embark on Phase II. We must and will continue to work to grow KFR where many from around Malaysia and the world can come and learn the Dharma.

    Humbly yours,
    Lum Kok Luen

“If this is the right piece of land for us to build what we intend to, show us a sign,O Lord.”In response to this request from Rinpoche, a light drizzle fell. In Pastor Seng Piow’s own words : “I felt very light raindrops from the sky, just a few sparse drops lasting around 5 seconds, and it stopped”. The sign was a clear one from Dorje Shugden endorsing the piece of land on which KFR now stands. Then later, there was the postcard which had the iconic tree! Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden do show us such clairvoyant signs whenever it is important to do so .

With Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden’s blessings, Kechara Forest Retreat has manifested as a most sacred and holy land , Vajrayogini Pure Land on earth! We are tremendously blessed. Let us remember that Dorje Shugden is always with us, helping us every step of the way. These signs of clairvoyance remind us that we are constantly being blessed and protected by great compassionate beings, including our Lama and Dorje Shugden. In fact, the beautiful shrines and Buddha statues and stupa in Kechara Forest Retreat also strongly impress on us that when we are in this sacred land, we are enveloped in the warm embrace of powerful sacred energy.

Thank you Rinpoche for creating Kechara Forest Retreat for us.

Reading this article gives me goosebumps and reaffirms my faith in Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden. Through the kindness and tireless efforts of Rinpoche, we are so privileged to be able to soak in the benefits of this beautiful and holy retreat.

  19. Stella Cheang on Jun 7, 2017 at 10:46 am

The sharings on this article is proof that Tsem Rinpoche is very humble never show off his clairvoyance and his very close relationship with the enlightened Protector who is always at Rinpoche’s side ready to assist. This is one of the many examples we read and learn from Rinpoche’s close students throughout the years. Yet, Rinpoche always claim he is normal like us and he only focuses on teaching us the dharma which will help us with our mind transformation.

This article also reminds me that Kechara Forest Retreat came a long way from a piece of barren land to now a modern infrastructure with state of the art facility that is home to hundreds of spiritual aspirants. A sincere thank you to all who had worked hard and put in the effort and resources to make this happen so that people like us can walk in and dharma is ready for us. We must cherish this spiritual facility and find ways to make it greater for more people to be able to benefit from it.

Do enjoyed reading those interesting comments by our Dharma brothers and sisters and about auspicious Mongolian Omen.
I was at Kechara Forest Retreat attending Drukchuma on 3 june 2017,many of us witnessed an auspicious Omen too. Just about to end the Puja all a sudden rainfall and rainbow appeared. Its so auspicious and its a blessing.
Thank you Rinpoche for choosing this Holy land to have a Buddhist centre and beautiful retreat centre to benefit many more people.

  21. Fong on Jun 6, 2017 at 4:16 pm

From all accounts, there were many signs that KFR is on the right site; from ask for signs like the drizzle, to unasked for signs like the postcard. Even the little talked about prediction to Irene by Rinpoche that the rain would stop for them to look at the land, shows Rinpoche’s faith in Dorje Shugden coming to their aid.

We tend to forget that Dorje Shugden is enlightened and will help us if we were to just put our faith in him and ask for help especially if it is to further our dharma work and/or path. If our intentions and motivations are pure, then our requests will be answered.

This story here is to remind us that we can put our faith in Dorje Shugden even though it may seem trivial but it is to spread the dharma and Lama Tsongkhapa’s stainless teachings.

  22. Choong on Jun 6, 2017 at 12:40 am

To me it is another proof that clairvoyance exists and that there are entities in dimensions which we cannot see but which are there. There is much to unveil.

Tsem Rinpoche has worked very hard over the years to provide accurate and important information about Dorje Shugden to dispel the malicious disinformation spread about the Protector. It is fantastic that Rinpoche’s efforts have translated into many people such as the commenter seeing the beauty in Dorje Shugden’s practice. Also Suzy has an interesting opinion about why His Holiness banned the practice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl-4lIwxph4&t=11s

Trode Khangsar Chapel in Lhasa, Tibet

Over 400 years ago a great and learned lama Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was famed in Mongolia, Tibet, Nepal and China for being very saintly and compassionate. He resided in his residence (Zimkhang Gongma Ladrang) in Drepung Monastery. His root guru was H.H. the Omniscient 4th Panchen Lama and his close dharma brother was the 5th Dalai Lama.

The 5th Dalai Lama and Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen had a very close and dharmic relationship and often went to receive teachings together from the 4th Panchen Lama. They were close in age. They both became very learned and well known. During this time, the Dalai Lama was enthroned as a Dharma King of Tibet. But more people went to see Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen for teachings, initiations and divinations. This made the attendants of the 5th Dalai Lama feel threatened that Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen’s fame might usurp the power of the 5th Dalai Lama. So they had a khata forced down his throat. At that moment, Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen dissolved his psychic winds and generated the wish to be a great guardian of Buddha and Tsongkapa’s teachings. As his consciousness dissolved, he entered ‘bardo’ as a dharma protector of the highest order (jikten depey sungma). Many signs were seen throughout Lhasa at this time and the earth was said to have shaken in Lhasa. This event was already predicted to Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen’s previous incarnation when he was one of the 8 main disciples of Lord Tsongkapa the Supreme Master and he served Tsongkapa directly by building Gaden Monastery.

When the 5th Dalai Lama heard what his scheming and power-hungry attendants had done, he was very distressed. He was very sorry Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was murdered and dishonored as he was a great dharma master. The 5th Dalai Lama composed an apology to Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen. In Lhasa, tens of thousands gathered for the cremation of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen’s holy body. During the cremation, the 5th Dalai Lama’s apology was read out at which flames spontaneously arose from the body of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen commencing the cremation. From the body, during cremation, a powerful whirlwind of smoke tunneled into the sky for all to see as this was an indication Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen’s consciousness has arisen as the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. The Dharma Protector Setrap immediately recognized this new protector Dorje Shugden and ‘enthroned’ him as a powerful Dharma Protector in the realm of the Buddhas. From this, Setrap and Dorje Shugden are closely connected and very close working hand in hand always. After the cremation, the great 5th Dalai Lama built a Dorje Shugden chapel on the spot the cremation took place and named it Trode Khangsar. The 5th Dalai Lama commissioned the statue of Dorje Shugden in this chapel and had monks installed in the chapel to do continuous propitiations to Dorje Shugden. Trode Khangsar Chapel was a commemoration to Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen who was wronged and also a celebration of his consciousness arising as the World Peace Peace Protector Dorje Shugden.

This Trode Khangsar Chapel still exists now in Lhasa where many make pilgrimages there. It is in good condition and was recently renovated. It is over 400 years old and a testimony to the respect the Great 5th Dalai Lama had to Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen who arose as Dorje Shugden.

I have visited this holy chapel in Lhasa years back. I’ve never heard of it till I was in Lhasa and by chance, I was told about it which I was happy to visit. I could not find the place but strangely a bunch of pilgrims from Amdo told me they would show me how to get there in Lhasa.

This short video is a short clip of this holy Trode Khangsar Chapel in Lhasa today commemorating Dorje Shugden, built by the great 5th Dalai Lama. The great 5th Dalai Lama even composed a prayer to Dorje Shugden which is still available today and we can recite to invoke the blessings, protection, and assistance of World Peace Protector Dorje Shugden.

    HUM
Though unmoving from the sphere of primordial spontaneity,
With wrathful turbulent power, swifter than lightning,
Endowed with heroic courage to judge good and bad,
I invite you with faith, please come to this place!

Robes of a monk, crown adorned with rhinoceros leather hat,
Right hand holds ornate club, left holds a human heart,
Riding various mounts such as nagas and garudas,
Who subdues the mamos of the charnel grounds, praise to you!

Samaya substances, offerings and torma, outer, inner and secret,
Favourite visual offerings and various objects are arranged.
Although, previously, my wishes were a bit dense,
Do not stop your powerful apparitions, I reveal and confess!

Now respectfully praising with body, speech, and mind,
For us, the masters, disciples, benefactors and entourages,
Provide the good and avert the bad!
Bring increase like the waxing moon in spiritual and temporal realms!

    Moreover, swiftly accomplishing all wishes,
According to our prayers, bestow the supreme effortlessly!
And like the jewel that bestows all wishes,
Always protect us with the Three Jewels!

For lamas, and practitioner who benefit sentient beings and the dharma the buddhas and bodhisattvas make their help very apparent to them and much more obvious. That does not mean the buddhas and bodhisattvas do not answer our prayers, they do but perhaps more subtly they help us and not so overt. For the people who do big dharma work, they sometimes need to work very fast for the benefit of sentient beings so they need help in much more direct ways and in way they can understand it quickly so they can make quick and accurate decisions.

    Dear Rinpoche,

    It always amazes me when miraculous events like the one above happens. First the postcard, then the drizzle? Talk about a double whammy…. but in a very good way.^^;

I remember saying, “Whao…!” when my auntie showed me the postcard picture next to the land picture on her phone. Both me and my sister were speechless and dumbfounded.

May Kechara Forest Retreat last a very long time. 🙂

  31. May Ong on Apr 17, 2015 at 11:46 pm

The resemblances of the pre-build photo of original KFR and the postcard the Mongolian monk sent to Tsem Rinpoche were uncanny. It is exactly the same. The thing that perpetuates me is this Mongaloan monk sent a postcard at almost the exact moment Tsem Rinpoche were scouting for the retreat land.

Another activity I noticed in Kechara, especially whenever Tsem Rinpoche gives teachings in Kechara House or when they are prayers held in KFR on special occasions or event, there will always be an indication of either heavy rain or light drizzle when there weren’t any rain clouds were seen before. These are the Miracles I have witnessed especially when we are around Tsem Rinpoche. The protectors always showed pleasing signs of virtuous work that Tsem Rinpoche carries out.

We are very fortunate as we would have the chance to visit this lovely site as it is located in our own Malaysia.A country that allowed his citizen a freedom to practice or follow the religion of our own choice without malice.
May the Kechara forest retreat be able to develop into his full potential to help all those who believe in the powerful dharma protector The Dorje Shugden.May all those who are fortunate to visit the KFR be blessed with Inner and Outer Wealth in order for them to gain the ultimate positive Mind Transformation…in order to help others in need.

Wow, time really flies by! The more time I spend in Dharma, the more grateful I am to be able to use my time and life for Dharma because it benefits many including myself. The past 2 1/2 years have been the most eventful and rewarding in Kechara Forest Retreat. Not only did I gain many new skills from planting, farming to painting statues, making malas and facilitating peace retreats; I grew so much personally in a way that I am in greater peace with myself.

With peace, I am able to reflect, accept and let go. With less burden, I am able to dream and garner the desire to do more happily and with conviction.

Kechara Forest Retreat will always have a very special place in my heart as it is within this space that I learnt about acceptance and tolerance.

  35. Jean Mei on Apr 10, 2015 at 1:15 am

Before anything was built, there used to be a walkable path on the side of a hill, now beautifully transformed into the Tara Walk, alongside the Medicine Buddha Hill. That path used to be the only walkable path within the land.

Walking along the path would eventually lead to a clearing – and at one particular spot, if one was to hold up the Mongolian postcard they would be shocked at how uncannily similar it was to the view before them.

I believe that when someone such as His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche, who’s a pure monk that holds His vows, and has clean samaya with His Guru, asks for a sign – there’s no place too far that a sign will appear.

The land that Kechara Forest Retreat is built on is incredible. Peaceful, serene, untainted, and now holy due to the prayers performed and activities held on the land.

May whoever steps on this land be filled with a sense of calm, happiness and be protected by Dorje Shugden.

I remember Rinpoche brought a few of us to visit KFR as well after the group above mentioned went. I am not a fan of nature and terribly scared of insects so when Rinpoche asked whether I would like to be here, I kinda freaked out a bit BUT now I have learned to love KFR from the beginning till now.

May many many more come to KFR and be benefitted in many ways.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this article. I have been to KFR once, helping the Green team to pull out the weeds. Though it was only a day visit, the tranquility of the place fills the air. The tranquility and air it exudes makes us want to come back for more…I would like to visit KFR again, hoepfully soon.

    Regards

I love hearing about auspicious signs. That is one of my favorite things in the whole world. Tiny miracles where you look around and say hmm… Was it real? But then you know, you know inside that it was. I like how everyone describes the story differently, yet everyone has the same unwavering conclusion in the end. Good story.

I am part of the Green Team of Kechara Forest Retreat. Rinpoche used take many of us there to have a picnic and Rinpoche will gave us Dharma talk and joke with us when it’s stilll a jungle. Rinpoche and all of us enjoyed the green very much. Now we have a pleasant Dukkar Apartment to stay but we continue to green up this land for others to enjoy it.

When the news of the post card reached all Rinpoche’ students, everyone rejoiced to the top. This mango tree now we called it the Iconic tree and we have built Dukkar Apartment next to it and a beautiful garden surrounding it. It has become one of the must visit spot of Kechara Forest Retreat, a story that we proudly tell every guests that visited KFR.

Dorje Shugden is a great protector that show quick and swift sign for His answer for us to see. Many of us experienced His powerful blessings. That is because we have strong faith in him. It is the faith that connected us strongly with Him in order for him to help and give answer swiftly.

Life is never easy. It is always causes doubt and confusion in our mind when we have to face so much of disappointments along the way. When we lost our hope, never forget that Dorje Shugden is the King of protector in this degenerate time who is Manjuhsri himself is here to help us. In order to help us on the fastest manner He manifested as a protector to get closer to us.

To see swift result, faith is the key. When we do His Sadhana and chant His mantra everyday, we make the strong connection with him for him to help us.

  44. nicholas on Apr 8, 2015 at 1:06 am

When i first heard of how the KFR land was chosen with the sign given by protector it was really make me think that if one with a right motivation one will be led to a correct direction from the protector. Some may say coincident but i would choose to believe it’s a sign to guide one to the path that bring great benefit spiritually.

The protector have shown the way and it’s been many time we witness the result and it never fail us unless our motivation is wrong and our samaya with our Guru is bad then nothing much to explain.

Believing in the protector is just like believing in our Guru as it’s given by our Guru and is to help us to clear our obstacles in order to create a conducive condition in our spiritual journey.

I’m so fortunate to be part of the team to build the Phase 1 of KFR. Nothing would be better to spend out time, effort and energy to build something that will bring so much benefit to may people.

Thank you Rinpoche for the sharing. It’s something i would take as a myth but is a teaching of how we should believe in our protector with a right way in our spiritual practice.

Though initially well supported by good signs and good omens, it is not surprising that it’s now being significant and in all reality that, the largest Dorje Shugden statue in the World will be sitting at Kechara Forest Retreat at Chamang, Bentong. Rinpoche has always wanted a huge Dorje Shugden Chapel with dorje shugden’s huge image inside to benefit many, many and now it has materialised! Rinpoche expressed that he has always trusted this kind and wise Protector, Dorje Shugden for the past 30 years, and who has been instrumental in many of his positive things and the progress of his work which is growing and keeps on growing. Rinpoche has advised us to appeal to Dorje Shugden for our temporary happiness and eventual liberation from samara and to trust Dorje Shugden all the way. We will never regret it! Thank you Rinpoche for your kind guidance and wisdomised teachings, and for showing us the way! Om mani Padme Hung.

I have often wondered about the beginnings of KFR. Now I know about the miracles of this sacred land and this is such a great read to start my week. Thank you with folded hands, Rinpoche for sharing this. I thank the “entourage” who found this holy land and their write-ups. May Kechara and KFR grow strength to strength.

  47. Edwin Tan on Apr 6, 2015 at 2:30 pm

    Dear Rinpoche,

I remember clearly when I met with Rinpoche prior to building KFR, Rinpoche showed us [my dad, Colin and I] the postcard and then the identical picture of the actual site where the mango tree was… we were in awe~!

It is too good a coincidence.

The image of the post card Rinpoche shared is still with me in my handphone.

I remembered when I was doing my wedding photography shoot there, I showed my wife the post card image and the stunning resemblance at the actual site. She cannot believe her eyes too.

Lord Protector Dorje Shugden really shows us many signs for us to do greater deeds and good.

    Thank you Rinpoche.

Thank you Rinpoche for having this beautiful retreat center specially located in Malaysia, being a Malaysian is hard to imagine we will have such a place to practice because Malaysia us a Muslim country but due to our kind guru we have such a bless place to do our retreat and for some of us a place to relax and connect ourselves with the nature . May KFR continue to grow and benefits more people in the future.

  49. Datuk May on Apr 5, 2015 at 10:48 pm

That trip to view Chamang Land (now known as Kechara Forest Retreat) was extremely memorable and with affirmation and blessings from Dorje Shugden for its acquisition.

When Rinpoche received the postcard from the Monk in Mongolia, He kindly shared it with us. At that time, Martin and I used to go scout the land with the owners and to actually view the inside of the property. One day Martin showed me the resemblance to this particular part of the land to the postcard and I exclaimed “Oh my god, we must let Rinpoche see this when He comes”. And Martin did and Rinpoche was very happy to see another blessing and affirmation on this land for KFR and our Protector Chapel.

To my humble mind, I thank Rinpoche and Dorje Shugen for showing us the way to be of benefit to many many who will come to KFR and be guided to be under the protection, love and care of our King Protector, Dorje Shugden.

    OM BENZA WIKI BITANA SOHA.

Thank you Rinpoche and all the Kecharian for making this place and facility possible.
Kechara Forest Retreat is a magnificent place for those who seeking spiritual wellness, serenity, peace, healing and tranquility. I was in awe to know the history behind KFR project.
It’s a reminder note for myself that if we do Dharma work with pure and sincere motivation, trust our Guru and Protector Dorje Shugden all the way, the result will follow.

I have great fortune to be able to visit this place and doing retreat and I wish to meet the opportunity to come again in the near future _/\_

I have been looking for a new place to live. The first place was huge but needed a lot of work. The second place was super small but had a large yard. When I went to sell my home to get the second place I had problems with the title stopping me from selling it. I am still getting the title work straightened out. I felt both places were not right for me thou. My gut told me I would get neither. Hopefully the third times the charm. I will do the same as Tsem and ask Dorge Shugden to give me a sign at the next place I look. I will give my trust over to him to find the right place for me. Thank you Tsem Rinpoche for reminding me to include dharma into my home finding decision. I never even thought of it.

Thank you Rinpoche and Kechara for making available this facility which will benefit many for years to come.

The concept of rebirth has a long association with Buddhism. Rebirth in Buddhism refers to the teaching that the actions of a sentient being lead to a new existence after death, in an endless cycle called saṃsāra. One will begins a new life in a new body that may be human, animal or spiritual depending on the moral quality of the previous life’s actions. What they are reborn as depends on their actions in their previous life rather kamma. As a Buddhist we should believe in rebirth but still many people don’t . Buddha taught us that choices of rebirth make a difference and can shape many lifetimes. Buddhists believe that nothing that exists is permanent and everything will ultimately cease to be. Against the odds two inspiring nuns fought all the way to become ordained, fighting for their rights to practice Buddhism . Interesting read of how they went through , bringing equality for women in Thailand. Buddhism is the predominant religion in Thailand. Officially, only men can become monks and novices in Thailand under a Buddhist order. The country does not recognize female monks or novices. In recent years, more Thai Buddhist women seeking to become full-fledged female monks, have been defying the tradition getting ordained overseas, in Sri Lanka or India. Buddhist women have been fighting for years for equality and social acceptance in Thailand. They just can’t be ordained by Thai monks. Ven. Dhammananda, 68 year old former university lecturer and activist became Thailand’s first Theravadin bhikkhuni after going the odds. Inspiring read biography on Ven. Dhammananda and Ven. Dr. Lee. They had gone through great hardships, discrimination and against the many odds in bringing equality to women in Buddhism in Thailand.

The unseen things are spiritual realities that are eternal and invisible to our physical eye. There are many forces and phenomena that are not visible to the naked eye. There are many things that humans cannot see yet there are some could see. For what is can be seen is only. Things do exist even we can’t see, believing their existence is our choice. Things that we can’t see in the world opens up a curiosity and exploration by some. Whether through scientific inquiry, or spiritual exploration, the pursuit of knowledge about the unseen can lead to profound insights about ourselves and the universe.
Malacca City is the historic capital of the coastal state of Malacca, in Malaysia serving as a link between east and west for over 500 years. Famous for breath-taking sights with rich heritage, ancient dark culture and history with many old centuries buildings with an interesting past and a colourful ghost story. For that reason alone it is worth visiting as is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site owing to its well-preserved historical center. There’s many historical mansions been passed down generation to generations and with many ghostly sighting by the locals and visitors. There’s the reason many unseen beings loitering and attached to these places. Such an interesting and incredibly creepy watching the video in this blog host by Li Kim. Li Kim had done a great work all along with her team to share with readers about our historic Malacca .
Thank you Rinpoche and Li Kim for this sharing.

Vajrayogini symbolizes the wisdom of all enlightened beings and embodies the impulse of inspiration that drives the Buddhas to attain the perfect enlightenment. Vajrayogini is one of the most effective practices for people today. We can make offerings such as gold or jewel offerings and so on. The offering of gold helps us to collect merits, spiritual attainments, gain a deeper connection to Vajrayogini. It also creates the causes to attain a Buddha’s body.
Make Offerings to Vajrayogini in Kechara Forest Retreat at Bentong is such an meritorious way for us to collect merits. All thanks to our Guru having conceptualised the idea of having a statue of Vajrayogini for everyone . Recitation of Vajrayogini mantra can be a powerful tool for self-transformation, healing and liberation from samsara.

Thank you, Rinpoche for sharing this insightful article. Life is short, and if we enjoy every moment of every day, then we will be happy no matter what happens or what changes along the way. What ever matter to us at the time of death is nothing. In the end, it’s not the years in our life that count it’s what you leave behind that matters. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.Death is the golden key that opens the palace of eternity. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. Learning Dharma and practicing dharma is the our choice that’s matter. Some of the key points to take notes, read, study the Lam Rim and apply it, engage in Sadhana daily and consistently. No one will help us at the moment of death but ourselves. Spiritual practicing is the best choice.

Well the size of Buddha statues in Tibetan Buddhism is important because it represents the Buddha’s immense ability and vast knowledge. Hence the Buddha statues hold the symbol of satisfaction within, peace and happiness. They are a symbol of inspiration for every human being. When we focus on the Buddha statues, it gives us inner peace that our mind, our heart and our soul gets enlightened.
We have are so fortunate seeing and circumambulating where the 9-foot Dorje Shugden statue and with 500 mantra stones engraved with Dorje Shugden’s sacred mantra. As Rinpoche had said before the bigger and more Buddha statues helps in planting seeds of enlightenment in people’s mind-streams. It also help us to generate as much merit and purify as much karma as possible. Merely by seeing all those big statues at Kechara Forest Retreat is a blessing.
    Thank you Rinpoche.

The 4th Tagpu Pemavajra Jampel Tenpai Ngodrub, most commonly known as Tagpu Dorje Chang, was a highly accomplished yogi Highly attained lama who had many authentic visions of the Buddhas and even travel astrally to receive direct teachings from them. His recognised line of incarnations stem all the way back to the 14th Century. He is generally regarded as such amongst Gelug lineage holders. He spent most of his time in a hermitage located above Sera Monastery, gave teachings and transmitted many vital practices and lineages to his foremost student Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Besides receiving the complete instructions of Dorje Shugden’s practice, Tagpu Dorje Chang had many other mystical experiences throughout his lifetime. Interesting read biography of a highly accomplished mahasiddha lama.

n Tibetan culture, it is a popular and customary practice for families to invite monks to perform spiritual ceremonies such as Trusol rituals. The monks have had the opportunity to offer such ceremonies for individuals or their families. Such ceremonies purify the elements of the environment which helps those living or visiting there to experience good health, success and well-being. The sacred ritual of ‘bathing’ the Buddhas and consecration through which negativities, sicknesses and obstacles will be cleared. Where by filling those areas with positive energies and good vibes through this Trusol consecration puja. Water is an essential part of this puja and symbolises the cleansing of all negativities and impurities. Through this puja it also pacifies local deities and other unseen beings in the surrounding areas. We are indeed fortunate that Tsem Rinpoche has taught Kecharians this practice and it has benefited many.

Reading this post had me gain some knowledge of Shifter Werewolves. Any article regarding rare creatures or paranormal articles are of my interest since young. In European folklore, a werewolf is a man who turns into a wolf at night and devours animals, people, or corpses but returns to human form by day. They have the ability to transform from an ordinary human appearance to a partially-lupine form with pointed ears, mutton chops, claws and fangs, and a ridged brow . Wow… werewolf tends to be vicious and unable to control his blood thirst. Their underlying common origin can be traced back to Proto-Indo-European mythology. In many depictions, these bloodthirsty beasts are evil where they kill animals and innocent people. They are humans who transition into wolf-like creatures, after being placed under a curse. In folklore, most werewolves originate from being cursed or bitten by another werewolf. That’s what they do believe. According many enthusiasts, there’s many different type of werewolves such as Alpha wolves, Beta wolves , Deltas, Elders, some survive as loners while others move in packs. How true it is no one knows. I do believe their existing . Many interesting stories related to these wolves in the past history.

Beautiful Dorje Shugden at Malacca. One should pay a visit there, located at a busy tourist place. It was such an auspicious occasion that a grand Puja was held there. Dedicated students and volunteers were there getting the place ready for the grand puja. Well the Grand Dorje Shugden puja was conducted by very own Kechara puja team to commemorate the chapel’s 3rd anniversary. Many people attended the Puja that’s wonderful to receive the powerful Protector Dorje Shugden blessings. More people will make a connection and get to know Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, in the form of a Dharma Protector. May Dorje Shugden’s practice flourish to benefit those tourists and locals.

Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche is a highly realised meditation master known as a debater, scholar, and meditation master, was the first Tibetan Buddhist master to introduce the complete Vinaya-tradition. He had also introduce the study of the five major topics of Buddhism to the West. He became the ‘path breaker’ of the complete and complex teachings of Buddhism in the West. Many masters, who are famous in the West today, were Geshe’s students. enerable Geshe Rabten. Geshe Rabten wrote the beautiful and Manjushri’s prayer called Gangloma and gave a profound explanation. We are so fortunate to learn about this Manjushri’s sacred prayer. May all be blessed by the practice of Lord Manjushri and Geshe Rabten’s explanation.

The begging bowl or alms bowl is one of the simplest but most important objects in the daily lives of Theravada Buddhist monks. The alms bowl still stands as an emblem of how all Buddhas, as numerous as grains of sand in the Ganges, practiced to end their desire. All those who receive the alms bowl should focus their mind to act with self-control and self-respect. Almsgiving is a tradition of Theravada Buddhists, majority in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Laos. In those early days of Buddhism, monks would take their bowls and go out begging for food. As today in Thailand one could see monks woke up before dawn every morning and carried his bowl through the roads or paths wherever he was staying. Local people would place food in the bowl as a donation, through the generosity of lay people. They accept whatever food is offered for them and eat whatever been given, serve as a blessing for the giver.
One bowl has held the food of a thousand families. A solitary monastic travels on his journey of a hundred thousand miles seeking liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Thank you H.E. Tsem Rinpoche for explaining the meaning of begging and gave us more reasons to be vegetarian . Create a awareness among us not killing animals to be one.

Ajahn Siripanyo, the son of billionaire Ananda Krishnan, chose to abandon his inheritance and become a Buddhist monk in pursuit of spirituality. A Thai-Malaysian monk born in London and educated in UK. He was ordained in Thailand and lived there, leaving behind a life of immense wealth and privilege. He did surprised many and his choice was unexpected. Initially as a temporary measure, but somehow later evolved into a permanent way of life. Ven. Ajahn Siripanyo is now the Abbot of hermitage Dtao Dam on the Thai-Burmese border in Saiyok National Park, Thailand.
He was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia years back giving an enthralling Dhamma talk on the timeless teachings of Ajahn Chah.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
