Panglung Ritroe- The Rising House of Power

Dear friends around the world,
On December 25, 2016, Kechara had the great merits and privilege to offer an official place of residence to the oracle of Dorje Shugden, His Eminence the 7th Panglung Kuten Thubten Phelgye Jigme Namgyal, affectionately known as Choje-la.
This residence is called Panglung Ritroe in commemoration of the original Panglung Ritroe in Lhasa, Tibet which was home to the Panglung Rinpoches and the lineage of the Panglung oracles. Panglung Ritroe was known to be a very sacred and holy place as the Panglung oracles took trance of numerous Dharma Protectors, such as Dorje Shugden, Setrap and Kache Marpo there.
This was also the very place that Choje-la’s father, the 6th Panglung oracle, took trance and advised that His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and his entourage should leave Tibet. Just imagine, the sacred king of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, had his life saved by the oracular pronouncements of Dorje Shugden through this illustrious line of oracles, from Panglung Ritroe in 1959.
I have known of Choje-la for quite some time now and over the past 10 years, my students and I have developed a connection with him. I got to know Choje-la much better when he visited us in Kechara Forest Retreat last year and I have only deep appreciation and great respect for this saintly old monk who has selflessly spent his entire life taking trance of Protectors to help and benefit the sangha, high lamas and lay people. He has been doing this for over 40 years.
This is why, with Dorje Shugden’s blessings, I decided to create a permanent home here in Kechara Forest Retreat for Choje-la, who has devoted his life to benefiting others without thinking of himself. I wanted to offer Choje-la his own place where he has complete privacy and independence, where he can live comfortably with his assistants, where he can host friends and guests, where he can come and go as he likes, and most importantly a place where he can live out the rest of his life if he wants to.
I wish for this wonderful elderly monk to live in a beautiful place surrounded by mountains, greenery, dotted with Buddha statues and brimming with Dharma activities. I do not wish for anything in return from Choje-la and my only hope is that he is happy, healthy and comfortable in his new home. It is a great pleasure for me to be able to serve Choje-la in this manner in his older years, as I have done in the past with many other elderly lamas.
With Choje-la’s permission, I named the house Panglung Ritroe because I see it as a revival of Dorje Shugden’s lineage, a symbol of the glorious history of the Panglung oracles, and I hope it is a place that will continue to benefit and help many beings. We believe in the Tibetan tradition that by offering a place of residence to eminent monks, great teachers, and practitioners, we create the causes for the Buddhadharma to grow, stabilize and reach many more people because it is with a comfortable residence that they can maintain their bodies and health to continue their Dharma works.
I thank everyone involved in the sponsorship, planning, building, pujas and physical hard work that went into this project which took a year to complete. Without the hard work of Kecharians and friends who did all this, this would not have been possible. I also thank Choje-la for agreeing to this project, for accepting the residence and I thank Dorje Shugden for granting my request to create this residence.
By offering this residence to Choje-la on behalf of Kechara, may all things auspicious come true as in the King of Prayers! May Dorje Shugden’s lineage from here on in be revived and preserved, bringing tremendous benefit to the world, just like it did in the past. May all involved be blessed and protected by Manjushri in this and future lives.

The Opening of Panglung Ritroe
About Panglung Ritroe
Panglung Ritroe is the name given to a hermitage that belonged to the 1st Panglung Rinpoche, who had served the Tibetan government in Tibet. For his services subsidising a war between Tibet and a small country in Mongolia, named Sengba, he was given the hermitage and it was named after him. It was located near Sera Mey Monastery in Lhasa. This hermitage included the official ladrang of the Panglung Rinpoche, a chapel where the Panglung oracle could take trance, and quarters for the Panglung oracle.

Since then, Panglung Ritroe became a place where the Buddha’s teachings were preserved and spread. This is especially true of the lineage of Dorje Shugden. Panglung Rinpoche had a personal oracle that he had trained, who came to live with the Panglung Rinpoche at the hermitage. Over time this oracle became known as the Panglung Kuten, or the Panglung Oracle, because he lived there. The oracular lineage belonging to this hermitage has been passed down for seven generations and is the most renowned line of Dorje Shugden oracles from Tibet.

The current 7th Panglung Kuten Thubten Phelgye Jigme Namgyal, affectionately known as Choje-la was trained and authorised by Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and the 2nd Kyabje Domo Geshe Rinpoche. Born in Panglung Ritroe in Tibet, he lived there with his mother and father. Choje-la’s father was the previous 6th Panglung Kuten, and was famed for his trances of Dorje Shugden, Setrap and Kache Marpo. In fact it was in Panglung Ritroe that the 6th Panglung Kuten took trance of Dorje Shugden to give advice that His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama should leave Tibet in 1959. Unfortunately the Panglung Ritroe was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution in Tibet. Despite this, it is still considered a very important and sacred place, as Dorje Shugden took trance of the oracle so many times there. Pilgrims can still be seen going to the ruins to make offerings, prayers, sangsol (incense offerings), to hang prayer flags and circumambulate the holy site.
Choje-la did not have an official ladrang or residence up until now. As the oracle of Dorje Shugden, this ladrang can also be seen as the ladrang of Dorje Shugden himself. Since its destruction after 1959, around 100 people within certain associations did their utmost best to procure certificates from the current authorities in Tibet in order to rebuild. However since Panglung Ritroe was not registered previously with the authorities, certificates could not be obtained. Therefore reconstruction in Tibet has not been possible, and Choje-la has been left without a ladrang. If Choje-la was in Tibet, Panglung Ritroe would be his home as he was born there, and is where both his parents worked and served the Dharma community.
In 2015 Choji-la visited Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) to perform a series of prayers for the stability and growth of KFR, and the growth of the Dharma. It was during this visit that Choji-la took trance of Dorje Shugden and Kache Marpo, blessing those present and the land. Following this visit, His Eminence the 25th Tsem Rinpoche decided that Panglung Ritroe would be reconstructed here in Kechara Forest Retreat, and then offered up to Choji-la in thanks for his years of service to the Dharma through his work as an oracle and as the re-establishment of a powerful ladrang.
Before construction began, traditional procedures were followed and pujas were performed to bless the land and environment. Prayers are performed to generate the necessary merits needed to build temples or other structures. In this case it is the reconstruction of Panglung Ritroe, the ladrang of the Panglung Kuten. This post highlights the months of construction that went into this building and most importantly, the historic moment that Panglung Ritroe was offered up to the Panglung Kuten himself.
Prior to Panglung Ritroe being offered to him, the Panglung Kuten realised that behind the residence was a hill with a sacred statue of Manjushri and in front, off to one-side, is the stunning statue of Tara. This matches perfectly the layout of Panglung Ritroe in Tibet, which had a hill behind it with a chapel of Dorje Shugden, who is none other than Manjushri, and also a nearby place where Machig Labdron meditated. Machig Labdron is considered to be an emanation of Tara. Therefore what existed around Panglung Ritroe in Tibet has been mirrored in Kechara Forest Retreat. This matching layout was not intentional. However it is a strong, potent and auspicious sign that Panglung Ritroe has once again been established, and the holy lineage of Dorje Shugden has been revived for the world to benefit from. Biography of the 7th Panglung Kuten
H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche and H.E. the 7th Panglung Kuten at the opening ceremony of Panglung Ritroe.
The current Panglung Kuten Thubten Phelgye Jigme Namgyal, is the 7th oracle from the renowned lineage of Panglung oracles, hailing from Sera Monastery. He was personally trained and his psychic energy channels were blessed by the previous Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and the 2nd Domo Geshe Rinpoche. For more than 40 years, he has been taking trance for the monasteries, high lamas, sangha and lay practitioners from all around the world. The 7th Panglung oracle takes trance of Dorje Shugden, Setrap, Kache Marpo, Shiptak Gyene and several other Dharma protectors.
He is a gentle, humble and virtuous monk who holds his vows very well and he has never expected any form of reward in return for the assistance that he has rendered to so many. Although he is learned, the Panglung oracle is modest, unassuming and a very private person who engages in his meditation practices quietly.
Many devoted practitioners from around the world request him to travel all over, in order to take trance of Dorje Shugden to give prophecies and dispense advice for all kinds of problems. It is without a doubt that he has benefited innumerable people through the accurate prophecies and incredible blessings of the protector. This goes to show the incredible compassion and full omniscience of the great Dharma protector Dorje Shugden, who interacts with practitioners through the Panglung Kuten.

The location of Panglung Ritroe was selected in accordance with Dorje Shugden’s advice for the hermitage to be on Kechara Forest Retreat, but in a place away from the main hub of activity so that Choje-la would have some privacy. After personally inspecting various sites throughout KFR, Tsem Rinpoche selected the current location for its seclusion. Before construction began, the land was blessed and consecrated by the Kechara House Puja Team.
The foundation of the house being laid. A lot of attention was given to this particular aspect of the construction process, to ensure that the house would be strong and stable, as well as long-lasting.
Construction moved along quickly as materials arrived on time and the workers – from the carpenters to the metal workers – were skilled and experienced in their various disciplines.
To ensure the house would remain cool even in the hottest weather, materials were selected to provide optimum insulation from the heat. This included the roof and the walls. While the first floor of Choje-la’s home are living quarters for himself and his attendants, the second floor is a dedicated space for him to take trance for a smaller audience.
The best materials were selected for Choje-la’s house, to ensure that the building would be long-lasting and require as little maintenance as possible. Rinpoche was very specific about building a maintenance-free house, that would not require a lot of Choje-la’s time to upkeep, even in his absence.
From the time of planning to the time of completion, it took a total of nine months for the entire construction process to reach its conclusion. With great happiness and joy, Rinpoche and the Kechara team were so happy to be able to present such a comfortable, well-built home to Choje-la.
Throughout the construction of Panglung Ritroe, many auspicious signs were witnessed and experienced by the construction team. Most notably, there were no obstacles throughout the project. Materials were delivered on time, no one was injured and the work went very smoothly.
A few days before construction began, a beehive appeared in a tree on the Panglung Ritroe property. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, beehives are considered highly auspicious. Similar beehives have appeared at other sacred sites before, for example in Dungkar Monastery belonging to His Eminence Domo Geshe Rinpoche. In 2010, just before the construction of Dungkar Monastery was about to begin, a beehive in the shape of a white conch shell appeared in the rafters.
Amongst other auspicious signs to appear at Panglung Ritroe include a toad which was spotted at the entrance of the house when Tsem Rinpoche visited Panglung Ritroe after construction was finished. On the day Choje-la himself arrived at Panglung Ritroe, there was a light rain just before his arrival while the first lotus in a recently made pond suddenly went into bloom.
As Choje-la toured Panglung Ritroe, he remarked with great happiness that its location was extremely auspicious. Choje-la explained that its location was exactly like the original Panglung Ritroe in Tibet. The original Panglung Ritroe had a Dorje Shugden shrine on the hill behind the hermitage, and nearby was a cave where Machig Labdron herself had meditated. At the current Panglung Ritroe here in Malaysia, on the hill behind the house is a statue of Manjushri and next to the house is a statue of Tara. Choje-la said it was auspicious because Dorje Shugden is an emanation of Manjushri, while Machig Labdron is considered an emanation of Tara.

Having the Panglung Ritroe- The Rising House of Power is a historical landmark for us at Kechara Forest Retreat, Bentong. A few years back Kechara were given the privilege of building an official place of residence to the oracle of Dorje Shugden. Great merits to have it here at Kechara , can imagined a residence for the oracle other than, H E. the 7th Panglung Kuten Thubten Phelgye Jigme Namgyal, who is known as Choje-la to many of us. The original Panglung Ritroe in Lhasa which was home to the Panglung Rinpoches and the lineage of the Panglung oracles was destroyed during the Chinese invasion. And our Guru decided to build one for the Oracle so as Dorje Shugden’s lineage preserved, that will bringing tremendous benefits to many in future.
From what I saw from pictures of the residence , it is beautiful, spacious indeed. Rejoice to JP, the kind sponsors and the teams who made this happen.
May the pure lineage of Tsongkhapa and Dorje Shugden continues to flourish.

Dorje Shugden Taking Trance in Peaceful Form
This video has two parts. The first part was filmed in Gaden Shartse Monastery in Mundgod, Karnataka State, South India, and the second part was filmed in Europe.
In the past, Gaden Monastery was home to a very well-known and extremely powerful oracle by the name of Choyang Duldzin Kuten. He was the official oracle of Gaden Monastery and a layman. He was not learned in the Sutras or Tantras, yet he served the monastery very well in his capacity as an oracle.
He took trance of various powerful Dharma Protectors of the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon, such as Kache Marpo, Namkar Barzin, Dorje Shugden and Setrap. In Dorje Shugden’s case, he took trance of both the peaceful and wrathful forms of Dorje Shugden.
As everyone knows, Dorje Shugden arose when a very high lama by the name of Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen, who lived during the time of H.H. the 5th Dalai Lama, took rebirth as a Dharma Protector in order to fulfill the vow he had made in one of his previous lives. This vow was to become a Protector of the Buddhadharma in general and the path of Lama Tsongkhapa specifically. During his lifetime, Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen was known as a renowned logician, debater, teacher and Mahasiddha. As a result of holding his vows, he achieved high states of spiritual attainment.
When Dorje Shugden takes trance in a fully trained oracle, he can appear in two distinct forms, allowing others to not only receive his blessings in person but also free themselves from the emotional baggage that exists today.
In his peaceful form, he appears dressed in the clothes of a high lama. Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche has mentioned this clearly. For Dorje Shugden’s peaceful form, the oracle wears the golden hat of Lama Tsongkhapa and the three robes of a fully ordained monk. While in trance, he speaks like a human would to another human. It is only when Dorje Shugden is entering the oracle and when he is leaving that we see a visible change. At all other times in between, he speaks very smoothly and very calmly. He is able to give initiations, perform rituals and prayers, answer questions clairvoyantly and also do purifications.
For Dorje Shugden’s wrathful form, the oracle wears the wrathful regalia of a high level Dharma Protector. He is not able to remain long in this state due to the wrathful nature of this emanation.
In this video, you will see the famous Gaden Shartse oracle Choyang Duldzin Kuten, who was authorised and blessed by Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang and Kyabje Zong Dorje Chang to be the official oracle of Dorje Shugden. Here you can see him taking trance in the Gyelchen Tenkhang, which was built by Kyabje Zong Rinpoche.
There are many lamas, students and disciples seeking audience, blessings and advice from Dorje Shugden in his peaceful form. You’ll see Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche’s personal attendant Kungo Palden-la, Gangchen Rinpoche and Tsem Rinpoche in attendance.
During the 2nd part of the video, you will see Dorje Shugden taking trance. At [23:34], you can see the Protector entering the oracle as he is invoked. At [33:09], you will see him leaving the oracle after giving advice and blessings to all. As he leaves, he makes prayers for everyone to achieve Bodhicitta.

Mantras are sacred verbalized words that invoke the protection and blessings of the deity to whom the mantra is ascribed. Mantras are also the manifestations of Buddhas in the form of ‘sounds’, hence the various mantras of Dorje Shugden contain the essence of the Protector.

Dear friends,
Tibet has produced many powerful meditations, rituals and guidelines to help us gain spiritual protection, gain wisdom and higher states of consciousness. In general Tibet has produced many powerful methods for the growth of our spiritual evolution. Dorje Shugden is an angel, a saint, a powerful spiritual protector-warrior who originated 350 years ago when a highly awakened Tibetan Lama fulfilled his vows to become a special being to grant protection, wisdom, material needs, safety when travelling (normal and astral travel) and spiritual awakening. Both the Great 5th Dalai Lama and the current His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama composed short yet effective prayers to invoke upon the power and blessings of this special saint and protector. One can recite either one of the prayers that you feel suits you, anytime or even daily. When you feel a special need for help, you can recite either prayer anytime. When you are feeling down, afraid or just need a blessing, you can recite them. After reciting either invocation, it is good to chant the mantra of Dorje Shugden: Om Benza Wiki Bitana Soha.
You do not have to be a Buddhist or practitioner of any religion to invoke upon the blessings and protection of this special enlightened and awakened angel Dorje Shugden. He helps all without discrimination or bias as he is filled with compassion and love. Divinity has no boundaries, they help all who call upon them.

Divination (‘mo’) Text by Dorje Shugden
This is an important divination (‘mo’) text composed by Dorje Shugden himself. Dorje Shugden took trance of the Choyang Dulzin oracle lama, the senior oracle of Gaden Shartse Monastery, and instantly on the spot composed this text within two hours.
The divination text contains information on how to use dice to do divination for the future and is known to be highly accurate. When practitioners use this text, they will be in direct contact with Dorje Shugden to get answers to questions about the future. It is for those who have good samaya with Dorje Shugden and are free of the eight worldly dharmas to be of benefit to others in divining the future.

His Holiness the 10th Panchen Lama
Tibetans commonly refer to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama as the “sun and moon” of Tibetan Buddhism. They are the center of Tibetan Buddhist civilization, which draws to its sphere of influence millions of non-Tibetan practitioners. The Panchen Lama’s incarnation line began with the 16th abbot of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen (1570 – 1662). He was bestowed the title of Panchen Lama by His Holiness the 5th Dalai Lama after being declared as an emanation of Amitabha.
After being given the title, his three previous incarnations were posthumously also bestowed the title, making Lobsang Chokyi Gyeltsen the 4th Panchen Lama. He became a teacher to many Tibetans, Bhutanese and Mongolian religious figures, including His Holiness the 4th and 5th Dalai Lamas, and the 1st Jetsun Dampa of Mongolia. A prolific author, Chokyi Gyeltsen is credited with over a hundred compositions, including a number of commentaries and ritual texts that remain central in the Gelukpa tradition today. Along with his role as a teacher of the Dharma, the Panchen Lamas are usually responsible for the recognition of the rebirths of the Dalai Lamas, and vice versa.
The 10th Panchen Lama, Lobsang Trinley Lhundrub Chokyi Gyeltsen (19 February 1938 – 28 January 1989) continued both the spiritual and political roles of his predecessors. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, his contemporary, was even heard to say and echo the Panchen Lama’s own words that the Dalai Lama would safeguard Tibet from the outside while the Panchen Lama would safeguard Tibet from the inside, as he never left Tibet after the political troubles of 1959. He was truly loved by the Tibetans, all the way until his passing. When he taught, thousands of people would attend, not only from his own Gelug lineage, but masters and practitioners from all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.
At his sprawling monastery of Tashi Lhunpo, he has a special chapel specifically dedicated to Dorje Shugden, where prayers and rituals are performed on a daily basis. In his great omniscience the Panchen Lama held Dorje Shugden as the principal Dharma protector of the monastery. He also personally propitiated Dorje Shugden among other Dharma protectors, and even wrote extensive prayers and rituals to Dorje Shugden. These rituals and prayers are contained within his ‘sung bum’ or collected works, which are provided here. As such a great lama, with an erudite and clear understanding of the Buddhist scriptures, a teacher to millions in both Tibet and China, from an established incarnation line and an emanation of the Buddha Amitabha, he could not be mistaken about his practice of Dorje Shugden.
His Holiness 10th Panchen Lama is known for his composition of commentaries and practice texts that are still in use by contemporary Buddhist practitioners both in Tibet and across the world. One of these is a powerful ritual composition propitiating the compassionate Dorje Shugden.
Upon the request by Acharya Lobsang Jangchub to compose a shorter version of the prayer (sadhana) for the exhortation of activities of Dorje Shugden, Panchen Lama immediately composed an abbreviate form of Dorje Shugden’s Kangsol. This text is entitled “Manjunatha’s (Tsongkapa) Lineage protector Dorje Shugden and five forms wrathful propitiations and confessional prayers and fulfilment of activities rites” or “Melodious sound of Accomplishment of the Four Activities” for short. Once the prayers were completed, he had signs and strong feelings that Dorje Shugden has been working hard to protect the Buddhadharma in general and the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa specifically.
Mirroring the abilities of one of his earlier incarnations, Khedrub Je, a disciple of Lama Tsongkhapa and master of both sutra and tantra, the Panchen Lama used his compositional skill and poetic prowess to create a masterful sadhana. Worthy of note is a praise in which the first letter of each verse is a Tibetan vowel. Such compositions are rarely seen, and have historically only been used when propitiating senior Dharma protectors such as Palden Lhamo and Kalarupa.
The Panchen Lama also stated that while composing the Dorje Shugden sadhana (prayers) he was filled with a sense of happiness and bliss. He ends the composition with not only his official title but his ordination name, Tenzin Trinley Jigme Choje Wangchuk, endorsing the validity of his work. He composed the sadhana in his own Tashi Lhunpo monastery while in the Hall of Clear Light and Bliss.

Dorje Shugden is a powerful protector deity who is also an emanation of Manjushri, a wisdom bestowing Buddha. Therefore, he has great ability to help us to progress further on the spiritual path. He does this by helping us to overcome obstacles and problems for the modern individual.
Due to his enlightened nature, Dorje Shugden is able to manifest 32 deities and within the same abode resides Setrap and Kache Marpo:-
1. 5 Dorje Shugden families or emanations. They consists of the following:-
– Dulzin Dorje Shugden, which performs activities to eliminate inner and outer obstacles.
– Shize, which performs activities to pacify all illnesses and disease.
– Gyenze, which performs activities to increase all desirable material and spiritual wealth.
– Wangze, which performs activities to control difficult people and circumstances.
– Trakze, which performs activities to wrathfully eliminate all insurmountable obstacles and life-threatening situations.
2. 9 Mothers. They represent protection of the five senses and developing control of the four elements. These are all attributes that signify their ability to assist tantric practitioners with their higher meditations.
3. 8 Guiding Monks. They represent the Eight Great Bodhisattvas (Avalokitesvara, Manjushri, Vajrapani, Samantabhadra, Maitreya, Kshitigarbha, Akashagarbha, Sarva-nivarana-viskambini) and they bring about the growth of the Dharma, through the Sangha, Dharma practitioners and Dharma establishments.
4. 10 Youthful & Wrathful Attendants. They represent the ten wrathful attendants to avert inner and outer obstacles. They are beings who are from Mongolia, China, Kashmir, India, Bengali, etc.
5. Setrap. He is a senior Dharma Protector from India and an emanation of Amitabha Buddha. He had enthroned Dorje Shugden as an authentic Dharma Protector. Therefore, he also resides within the same mandala of Dorje Shugden.
6. Kache Marpo. He is not an emanation of Dorje Shugden but he is still an enlightened Dharma Protector in his own right. He was originally known as Tsiu Marpo of Samye Monastery. However, he has placed himself under the service of Dorje Shugden as his chief minister, performing many activities in order to protect and benefit practitioners. Therefore, he stands guard at the main entrance of Dorje Shugden’s mandala. He often takes trance of qualified mediums to speak.
7. Namkar Barzin. He is the reincarnation of an old Mongolian monk and when he passed away in Phari area of Tibet, his spirit was placed as a powerful assistant of Dorje Shugden. He guards and protects buildings and great institutions especially those that benefit others. He rides on a mythical Gyaling animal that resembles a goat but with scales.
These sacred images are available on *Vajrasecrets. They are made of high quality alloy and are one of a kind. They are based on the lineage of His Holiness Panchen Rinpoche’s monastery, Tashilhunpo in Shigatse, Tibet. In fact, the iconography of these statues are based on detailed photographs taken by H. E. Tsem Rinpoche during a trip to Tashilhunpo’s protector chapel. These are based exactly as the 10th Panchen Lama’s personal collection.

This is a powerful picture of Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen, Kensur Kyabje Lati Rinpoche and the current incarnation of Trijang Rinpoche meeting together in the year 2000 when Trijang Rinpoche was 18. All three lamas are Dorje Shugden practitioners. In fact Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen was the one that first encouraged my practice of Dorje Shugden when I was 16 years old when I joined his beautiful Thubten Dhargye Ling centre in Los Angeles. I lived with Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen for 8 years before proceeding to Gaden Monastery in South India. Later Kyabje Zong Rinpoche came to our Los Angeles centre and granted sogtae (permission ceremony) to practice Dorje Shugden for life as requested by Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen. Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen had tremendous faith in Trijang Rinpoche. Kyabje Lati Rinpoche was innovative, dedicated and very much focused on bringing dharma to many. He had tremendous faith in Dorje Shugden as I had the honour to meet him many times. He would seek advice from Dorje Shugden many times via the oracle of Gaden Monastery. Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen and Kensur Kyabje Lati Rinpoche have since passed away while the current Trijang Rinpoche is a perfect lineage holder and practitioner of Dharma while he keeps Dorje Shugden as his personal protector as he has done so for many lifetimes. This is a powerful and beautiful picture of three great lamas of Buddha’s lineage and also of Gaden Monastery.

Rejoice ! It is important of the revival of the Panglung Ritroe. It is a sign that the great Panglung lineage will continue and grow. The rebuilt of this Panglung Ritroe at Kechara Forest Retreat and was approved by Dorje Shugden showing that our lama’s Samaya is clean. I still remembered, when i received the message ( Panglung Ritroe- The Rising House of Power ) in Whatapp and it’s in morning, i click and read it before i go shower, while i was reading and watch the YouTube of this the video ( Panglung Ritroe- The Rising House of Power ), i was touched by Rinpoche, the 1st thought in my mind is, how kind is Rinpoche, Rinpoche offered a house ( resident ) to a higher monk ( Chojela ) and make sure that Chojela & Su Mei have a comfortable home to stay.

25th December 2016 definitely is a remarkable day for Kechara with great honoured offering Panglung Ritroe to Choji-la.
Reading and watching the video from this post it really show’s so much of the significant and auspicious from the beginning until the end of the construction of the house. This is really a historical moment to have Panglung Kuten resident in Kechara Forest Retreat and this is also marking the revival of Dorje Shugden lineage.
Rinpoche always show kindness and gratitude through action. We all are honored to be Rinpoche’s student to learn/witness closely how Rinpoche put every teaching into action.

Watching the house being built everyday, I was full of anticipation and excitement. How blessed to have Panglung Ritroe revived right here in our very own Kechara Forest Retreat! His faith and trust in Dorje Shugden since birth, show a lot. This also shows that Dorje Shugden is indeed an Enlightened protector, preserving the Dharma and always full of wisdom helping others through trances.

This is a great and joyful news, Panglung Ritroe, the house of power has re- established in Kechara forest retreat therefore Choji-la finally has a permanent home now.

25 December 2016, many people were celebrate Christmas but for Kecharian this xmas is really special because we are offering Panglung Ritroe to The 7th Panglung Kuten, Choje-la. As we know that, Chose-la is very famous oracle with Dorje Shugden trance.
By offering a ritroe to Choje-la , so Choje-la can stay in Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) forever and can concentrate on his trance especially in Dorje Shugden’s trance which can guide on sangha , lama or layman on spiritual issues.
My Guru, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche did show us an good example on how he devoted to high lama by offering a very comfort accommodation place to Choje-la.
May all sentient beings blessed by Dorje Shugden in spiritual path. May Tsem Tulku Rinpoche’s Dharma flourish and benefit more and more people.

It was indeed an extraordinary Christmas as it marked an auspicious beginning of something exciting in Kechara. With this offering to Choiji-la, it would mean that Kechara is home to not just one extraordinary lamas but two! I can’t help but feel that we are most fortunate to be in such close proximity of 2 great lamas and hope that this is just the start of many more to come.
Since the trance last year, my kids have been asking when will Choji-la come again for a visit. I keep telling them that I don’t know. Imagine their thrill when they found out that the house that we use to pass belongs to Choji-la and that he is staying there now. I share their happiness as this would not only mean that we have the Panglung Oracle himself breathing the same air as us but also knowing that Choji-la has a comfortable home to call his own makes me glad. This offering is a wonderful teaching on care and gratitude, as what Tsem Rinpoche has taught us and shown examples of himself.

First of all, thank you Rinpoche for proposing the plan, getting the approval from Dorje Shugden and Choje-la, and providing the precious opportunity to our Kechara team, especially JP, to build an official place of residence to the oracle of Dorje Shugden, Panglung Ritroe.

I sincerely want to thank JP for his hard work, effort, time and diligence to plan, organize, discuss and oversee the entire Panglung Ritroe’s construction until the final completion of the house. JP’s good explanation of constructing this house is a retreat on spiritual level can serve as motivations and aspirations to many of us for more constructions to be manifested in Kechara Forest Retreat in order to serve many people for their spiritual practice as well as strengthening the continuous growth of Buddhadharma to the 10 directions, reaching to every corner of the world.

Thank You Rinpoche for making this auspicious event happened in Kechara Forest Retreat in Bentong in Malaysia. It was unbelievable to me when I heard of this news. In other words, it showed to me that Choje-la will be retiring in Malaysia and Dorje Shugden oracles lineage will begin in Kechara Forest Retreat for many life times to benefit others. Kehcara Forest Retreat indeed is Dorje Shugden land. I was so excited and happy to learn this news, the excitement goes on till this moment when I am writing this comment.
Thank You Rinpoche for requesting this Power House from Dorje Shugden. Thank You JP for coordinating and designing the house so carefully to ensure Choje-la feel comfortably staying in there and less maintaince required for His busy life.

The success of building Panglung Ritroe significant the Rising House of Dorje Shugden’s power and the continuity of the lineage. It is so auspicious when Choji-la pointed out that the Panglung Ritroe have matching layout with Panglung Ritroe in Tibet and it is strong significant that once again the Panglung Ritroe have been established here in Malaysia, and the holy lineage of Dorje Shugden has been revived for the world to benefit !
I am so touch when i listened to how Mr. JP build the house. He build with very good motivation and he have strong Guru devotion. He was very detail in building the house to ensure the house is really comfortable and long lasting. Yet he is so humble. He is truly inspirational

This is truly such a historical event that I would have never in my wildest dreams expected to witness in this lifetime. A great rejoicing event to witness and even to be able to participate in very small way is already a great rejoicing opportunity, as we invite the revival of our great Dharma Protector’s line of trusted authentic oracles – the Panglung Kuten through the offering of this historical residence called Panglung Ritroe!
It may look like a simple house, but this house signifies the great continuity and indestructible powerful lineage of Dorje Shugden oracles who will rise again and again, ever more powerful each time to be of great benefit to many people, to the world in fact, now and into the future. How powerful and great merits for Kechara to create and make such an offering to our Dharma Protector, as Rinpoche advised us to visualise Dorje Shugden and Chojila as one. And this is due to ingenious kindness of Rinpoche whose trust, faith and devotion to Dorje Shugden has never ever once waver due to pressure or politics. And to request and get permission to built Panglung Ritroe from Dorje Shugden himself – wow only Rinpoche can think of something like that. And it goes to show, if Dorje Shugden approves of us to built his oracle’s residence, we must be on the right track, we must be doing something right, nd it must mean Kechara will only grow further and last. Also it made it all even more special and precious because Chojila is such a pure, humble, gentle, no ego, selfless, highly attained monk, he embodies the holiness of pure/real sangha.
When Rinpoche made the speech that this house is for Chojila and because he has been serving the Dharma, benefiting so many for so many years and never once ask for anything… and that we, Kechara would like to offer this house to Chojila and we would take care of Chojila, really moved hearts. I saw Chojila’s assistant Sumei cried and it felt like she was deeply moved and appreciative, it was like “finally now dear Chojila has a place to call home and be safe” (my gosh she made me wanna cry too! Lol) But that was the energy she gave out and it was really beyond words the beauty, kindness, and power of this great offering. Something worth rejoicing billion times over. Thank you Rinpoche for doing this and for allowing us to witness this very special historical occasion.
It seems that Rinpoche and Kechara keep creating history. Keep reviving whatever that was forgotten, suppressed or degenerated. It seems like Rinpoche is reviving the lineage and the Buddha Dharma again like Rinpoche’s previous life, but this time from Malaysia to the world, as this was the same wish Rinpoche made many years back when we were going to built KWPC. It seems like the same prayers Rinpoche had made since day one, “whenever there is a misunderstanding of the Dharma, may I (Tsem Rinpoche) make it clear… and wherever there is no Dharma, may I (Tsem Rinpoche) bring the Dharma” sorry for any mistakes but it is something along these lines.
Thank you again Rinpoche for allowing me to witness this and to be able to contribute a little bit through painting etc to collect some merits. I am glad, lucky, blessed that I have a bit of merit to still be alive and around to experience this great rejoicing manifestation.
How lucky we are that H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche chose to establish a ladrang on this land within our midst. Then now, the ladrang of H.E. the 7th Panglung Kuten is also established on our land and in our midst! It is doubly auspicious and a real privilege for us. How much closer can we get to the dharma, Dorje Shugden, Manjushri, Lama Tsongkhapa, Vajrayogini, the entire lineage? What have we done in our previous lives to warrant such honour? It is just incredible. _/\_

What more he is the oracle of Dorje Shugden. With all the auspicious signs, KFR is truly an auspicious place for Choje-la and Dorje Shugden. When watching the video, my reaction was “Wow….. Wow….. Wow…..!” I really feel happy and rejoice for Choje-la from the bottom of my heart. And, when I see Shu Mei wiping her tears, I can feel her joy came from her heart and she was very touched. Auspicious news indeed. It was a touching scene too to see the great King of Dorje Shugden having His Ladrang back. Thank you to Tsem Rinpoche for making this happen for Choje-la and Su Mei. The fact that this Panglung Ritroe set up was accidentally similar to the one in Tibet wows many. I felt this sign is very strong and very auspicious that Panglung Ritroe has once again been established, and the holy lineage of Dorje Shugden will continue to prosper. Rejoicing news indeed! This is such a wonderful news for all of us, as this indicates that the lineage of the great Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden is coming back up fast now from the destroyed home for the oracles and the illogical ban on practicing Dorje Shugden.
So much efforts, determinations, faiths, loves, cares, considerations, respects, and humbles to make all these happened, a home, a lineage of the Buddha teachings and a relationship.
This great event is a great cause for many who are suffering from the ban to be relieved and for all sentient beings to be benefited.

Finally! Panglung Ritroe, the now defunct abode for the Panglung oracles in Tibet has been built in KFR. The 7th Panglung oracle, fondly referred to as Chojela, can really call this abode his domain. Chojela has been serving the dharma and Dorje Shugden for several decades to benefit all beings and it is befitting for an elderly monk, who asks nothing for himself, to continue his work in the beautiful natural surroundings in KFR. All Kecharians look forward to seeing more of Chojela when he visits KFR to stay in his home.

It’s a remarkle show of great compassion for one whose religious practise many who follow His Holiness The Dalai Lama despise.
This is testimony to genuine buddhist practice and Tsem Rinpoche is truly a compassionate lama.

The Panglung Ritroe is the name of the original home of the Panglung Rinpoches and the lineage of the Panglung oracles in Lhasa, Tibet. It is a very sacred and holy place as the Panglung oracles took trance of numerous Dharma Protectors, such as Dorje Shugden, Setrap and Kache Marpo there. The building of the Panglung Ritroe in Kechara Forest Retreat is to commemorate this original home. The Panglung Ritore in Lhasa holds sacred memories : it was there that Choji Lah’s father, the previous Panglung Kuten took trance of Dorje Shugden and advised Trijang Rinpoche that the Dalai Lama must escape immediately and Dorje Shugden would ensure His safety in the escape, which he did.
In deep appreciation and respect for Choji Lah who has selflessly spent his entire life taking trance of Protectors to help and benefit the sangha, high lamas and lay people, and with the blessings of Dorje Shugden, Rinpoche decided to build this home for Choji Lah , where he could stay for the rest of his life. Rinpoche decided to name the home the Panglung Ritroe because Rinpoche sees it “as a revival of Dorje Shugden’s lineage, a symbol of the glorious history of the Panglung oracles, and a place that will continue to benefit and help many beings”.
The Panglung Ritroe in Kechara Forest Retreat is a beautiful dwelling, set amidst very serene and holy surroundings. Choji Lah even mentioned that this Panglung Ritroe truly reflects the original Panglung Ritroe in having Manjushri to the left in the background (where the original had a Manjushri Dorje Shugden Chapel), and a Tara to the right in the background just as with the original Panglung Ritroe)
It is most touching to see Rinpoche showing and guiding Choji Lah around the house, with such loving care and affectionate regard. Rinpoche thus teaches us how we should show respect to an elderly person, especially this pure and holy monk, who has spent his entire life benefiting people and beings with the Dharma.May Choji Lah stay well and healthy and continue to benefit countless beings for years and years to come.

This is such an auspicious news for everyone. It is such a priviledge for Kechara especially the team to build and offer a permanent house for Chojela, a senior monk, who have tirelessly served others as a Dorje Shugden oracle all these years.
When we serve the Guru, the Dharma, and the Sangha by providing for them to live and stay not only the Dharma will grow we develop all the good qualities like them. Rejoice for Rinpoche and the team’s accomplishment of another great milestone of the lineage to grow and spread from here.
I passed by this “house” almost everyday when I am in KFR and really rejoice that Panglung Ritroe is finally officially opened. I have always been fascinated by oracles when I grow up, and I am glad that in Gelug school of Buddhism, we have our own lineage of oracle who took trance to benefit many people, be it secular and spiritual.
From what I learnt, the current Panglung oracle, Chojela has been tirelessly taking trance of various protector such as Dorje Shugden and Setrap. He does not ask anything for return as He is a very pure monk. He also doesn’t simply take other people’s offering. Therefore, it is with great privilege we Kechara has the honour to offer Him an official residence.
May the lineage of Dorje Shugden, Lama Tsongkhapa and Vajrayogini spread far and wide from Kechara, from Malaysia to reach especially this part of the world and eventually internationally.

This is such joyful news for a number of reasons.
Firstly, Choje-la the 7th Panglung Kuten is such an amazing monk who has served the Dharma and helped countless people his entire life. Even as an elderly sangha, Choje-la keeps a very busy schedule and travels from country to country to take trance of the King Protector to heal the sick, give important advice, help monasteries and keep Lama Tsongkhapa’s lineage alive and well. And Choje-la is well known for not asking for anything for himself.
It is very comforting to see Choje-la having now a safe and adequate home in Kechara Forest Retreat where it will be an honor for Kecharians to serve him.
Secondly, I personally see the revival of the Panglung Ritroe as a sign that the great Panglung lineage will continue. This is important as the Panglung line of oracles have performed magnificent feats including helping His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama leave Tibet and arrive in India safely. In safeguarding the Dalai Lama the [6th] Panglung Kuten secured the Buddhadharma according to the Vajrayana tradition. I think this is important to remember. These days, some unhappy people accuse Dorje Shugden falsely but the fact that Dorje Shugden saved His Holiness says a lot about the Protector’s good intentions towards the Dalai Lama and the Dharma.
Thirdly, Dorje Shugden in approving for the Panglung Ritroe to be rebuilt on Kechara Forest Retreat says that as a family of Dharma practitioners, we are on the right track and our Lama’s samaya with the Great Dorje Shugden is clean and untainted. This is fantastic news for all Kecharians because that would mean that the teachings given by our Lama, Tsem Rinpoche is rich in potency and carry the blessings of the lineage lamas.
Kechara these days is so different compared to a few short years prior. We have monks and Kechara Pastors in maroon and Sangha-to-be in white gracing the grounds of KFR today. More and more people are coming to know Dorje Shugden and from this association, they are led to the holy Dharma. Before our eyes, we see everything Tsem Rinpoche prophesy coming true.
