dear rinpoche are you upset about something? if i could i would hire a guru and buy all the enlightenment on sale.if one does not have a guru how does one practice guru devotion ? how to visualise the guru? who would he be ? when does the guru becomes one's guru ? as long as one does not have a guru how can one make progress in his practice ? who is to prescribe these practices to begin with ? how to purify the still-no-guru negative karma ? how to check out a guru's compassion ?

    In the beginning it is inevitable. While you are working on yourself, you will have ups and downs and sometimes be put down by others. Or even you put yourself down. But as time goes on, you will GAIN MOMENTUM AND STRENGTH and become better. That is a promise.

    I offer you my sincerest prayers and while on this journey, solicit Lama Tsongkapa. I have a book ( Life and Teachings of Tsong Khapa -Edited by Prof. R. Thurman)
    with many praises to Lama Tsongkapa written by great masters. There is one prayer called the Tricosmic Master by Kedrub Rinpoche..you should recite this daily and recite migtzeyma afterwords. Contact Shin of E division to help you get that prayer or book.It is in my library and private collection.

    Also contact Ethan of Kechara Care, I would like you to get a consecrated pendant of Lord Tsongkapa to bless you. It will be a gift from me. Wear it daily. And next year try to gift three others with Tsongkapa pendants as a gift from you to do your good deed.

dear rinpoche in the name of medical science millions of lab animals are genetically bred to suffer horrible diseases and cruel experiments.for every medical/surgical treatment available millions of rats,rabbits, pigs,dogs have been sacrificed.this is a terrible karma we are all a part of and yet unless we can say no to all medical intervention when we are sick it would seeem so hypocritical to be anti vivisection . what is your advice on this ? thank you.

    Do your best to counter all this karma by going Vegetarian if you are not. Promote animal welfare. Start a animal sanctuary. Start a powerful blog site on this issue. Use social media to bring awareness. Educate others by various means to save and be kind to animals. Live your life for saving these poor beings from being harmed.

    Use Medicine Buddha as your main Yidam to achieve this.

    These would be good action dharma to counter some karma and create new karma.

    Talk is good when action follows…is how I feel.

    I thank you for wanting to do something for animals.

Dear Rinpoche, what happens to a possessed person in the afterlife if he/she is not cured by a lama before the death ? How exactly he/she will suffer than? With pain? With delusions? For how long? There are many people who don’t believe that possession exist and they can die without being exorcised at all so I want to know can we help them with prayers ? If somebody wants to exterminate the Buddhism because he/she is ignorant and evil and then he becomes possessed should we pray for him/her ?

    Dear Rinpoche, what happens to a possessed person in the afterlife if he/she is not cured by a lama before the death ?

    A person in the afterlife may not be directly affected by their immediate current life. For example, he may be possessed, but at the time of death, another karma may open and they take a good rebirth. Or they can take a bad rebirth. Nothing is fixed because we have collected karma that is very strong stored, dormant and ready to open from many other lifetimes also beckoning to manifest. I wrote a small book on magic and the like. You can obtain it online or kechara paradise outlets. It will help you.

    How exactly he/she will suffer than? With pain? With delusions?

    Any negative karma will lead to sufferings. That is a given for everyone possessed or not. Whether a person is possessed or not at the time of death makes a difference but not the only difference and certainly not the only criteria. Karma makes no exceptions for anyone. So we have to see their thoughts, actions and thinking at death to get a clue where they are going next….Also how they lived this life in general.

    For how long?

    No determined time. For the length of next rebirths, it will be different for everyone in every life.

    There are many people who don’t believe that possession exist and they can die without being exorcised at all so I want to know can we help them with prayers ?

    You can get the book I wrote in which I talk clearly what one can do..it will be very helpful to you. For now Singdongma, Black Manjushri or Setrap practices continuously will BE VERY HELPFUL FOR EVERYONE CONCERNED. Any of these three are very efficacious for the afflictions of this nature.

    If somebody wants to exterminate the Buddhism because he/she is ignorant and evil and then he becomes possessed should we pray for him/her ?

    We forgive them and be further inspired to practice more to liberate and help many like them. Pray to Tsongkapa or Setrap would be excellent.

dear rinpoche if i persevere diligently in my practices to purify negative karma and accumulate merit and yet i cannot eliminate one bit of suffering in this life what quantum leap of faith must i then muster to believe that i can save myself in future lives through continuing the same practices?if one cannot eliminate pain and suffering from illnesses poverty emotional trauma etc in this life how can one still cling to any hope in the dharma for the unknown unseen untold number of future lives

    Dear Irene,

    I understand your questions and thank you for it.

    Your fundamental perception of the purpose of practice must change. The more you practice, the more you should develop the mind to take on the sufferings of all sentient beings and not just yourself. The results of practice is not running away from sufferings or avoidance of it, but the acceptance of it and for the sake of all others. If you use practice or religion to gain happiness, or material gains or personal peace, then the fundamental motivation would be wrong and hence would not produce the desired results quickly. Read the Lam Rim..important.

    1. The more you practice purification and the more problems arise or the same problems arise IS A VERY GOOD SIGN..AN EXECELLENT SIGN INDEED.
    Why? Because the karma is coming out and you are experiencing it now. I give you an example. If you have to lose a handphone, is it better to lose it in the middle of the city during daylight or to lose it at midnight in a dark and lonely forest when you are alone? Losing the phone is the same, but the environmental situation can dramatically alter the situation and how much more sufferings it entails. It is much better to ‘suffer’ out the karma HERE AND NOW. Be grateful for that. The environment now is better to experience the karma. As Trijang Rinpoche says, we suffer nothing that the cause was not created by ourselves….

    2. Along with your practice is to read, watch teachings and learn up more on the very purpose of Buddhistic practice. Learn up more on dharma is very important…very important for you and everyone. Suffering is ever present in every sector of samsara and as long as you are here without control you have to expect it..feel lucky you can recognize it and have an opportunity to do something about it with perseverance patiently. The karmas can take more than one lifetime to purify because we’ve had thousands of hundreds of thousands of lifetimes for sure.

    3. Once you reach certain stages in meditation you can perceive former lives and what you did and the karma that was accummulated for what you are experiencing now.. Until then, the Buddha would never lie or be mistaken. The mountains may be destroyed, great trees die and the oceans may dry up, but the perfect Tathagata can never be wrong. All causes for His lack of perfect perception has been eliminated. So trust the Buddha and take refuge in Him by relying on the path He took.

    4. Meditate on the problems of ppl in poverty stricken countries or with horrible incurable diseases, or ppl who are born to be hurt, beaten, killed. Meditate on others’ problems and how immense it is and ask their problems come to you and you may suffer it for them. Develop that type of mind..that type of mind would be powerful to purify karma faster. The mind that practices for others is the correct mind of practice THAT WOULD GAIN RESULTS. Please read Milarepa’s biography.

    5.Whatever methods you have engaged in before dharma didn’t work, so if you do dharma and long term it will work.. Add Setrap to your practice. You will be fine in the end…you’ll see..I wish you well sincerely from my heart, from my soul, from my being…may your sufferings and wrong perceptions come to me please…may it be so.

    I wish you well and continue without expectation of material or personal results, practice with results that you can do more for others. All sufferings of this life is just to be continued into future lives as they were carried to the present from the past if left UNPURIFIED AND UNCHECKED.

    I have the most affinity with Buddha Shakyamuni I would think. He is the beginning and the end for the Buddhism of our era. All other Buddhas arose because of Him and his turning the dharma wheel. All Schools of Buddhism, all Buddhist teachings be it vispassana or the powerful tantric deities arose because of Him.

    I am indebted to Shakyamuni. Seeing his form in statues, pictures, drawings and thangkas since I was very young has brought me chills up and down my spine..even now.

Rinpoche, what is the process for becoming somebody's guru? What I mean is, you have a lot of students, but is there a formal ceremony or something, where you have to approve them, or is it something that each person recognizes for himself/herself? Thank you!

    If you think in your heart this is my guru and commit, then it is your guru.

    If you go through a formal refuge ceremony with a teacher then they are your guru.

    If you formally request and the teacher accepts then he is your guru.

    If in your heart you feel this is the right teacher among all your teachers and you choose this person, then you hold the commitments, they he is your root guru.

    These are the different methods..Good luck to you always..

    This book will be very good for you..it is about the relations with a teacher.

Why do some Highest Yoga Tantras (like Vajrayogini or Cittamani Tara) traditionally require a previous initiation into Highest Yoga Tantra? Why aren't they considered equal?

    Requiring a previous initiation prior to Vajra Yogini does not mean it is not equal. It is totally equal. Let me explain using Sacred Vajra Yogini as an example.

    1. Sacred Vajra Yogini (VY) is a more condensed and easier practice of the Heruka/Vajra Yogini combined tantra.. for information sake the Heruka/Vajra Yogini tantra will be referred to just as Heruka tantra. They are one. Their practices are combined within the Heruka tantra of which there are many lineages… The Heruka tantra is long, many entourage deities, lots of visualizations, recitation takes much time, many complicated mantras/rituals/procedures. Just reciting the sadhana without visualization can take up to two hours daily if you are fast.

    So in the past ppl made time for it..now ppl make time for not being able to practice.

    Although Heruka is a very powerful and efficacious practice alot is required. When we mention Heruka practice or tantra, Vy is automatically included within it. So in order not to lose the efficaciousness of the Heruka practice during degenerate times such as now when we don’t make time for these practices, Heruka practice condensed is Vy. All of Vy’s practice, mantras, visualizations, rituals are derived from Heruka/VY combined. So if you were to do just the recitation of Vy sadhana daily, perhaps it will take just 45 mins. Much more managable. Also the visualizations are much easier but just as powerful and effective as Heruka’s.

    2. There are parts of Vy’s practice that is so condensed you must get the Heruka initiation prior in order to practice the condensed version. Why because receiving the extended version, you do not need to do the extended version, you can just do the condensed version in VY’s practice. Hence it is not a matter of equality, but planting the seeds to practice the condensed version. And also receiving permission to practice. Permission in this case does not mean Vy needs Heruka’s permission. It means Vy’s practice IS the condensed version of Heruka, so when you are doing Vy, you are actually doing the complete Heruka practice. Heruka is male and Vajra Yogini is female, but that is just manifested rupakaya not their true forms. Buddhas may change forms according to situation and need. Hence there is no ‘sex’ or ‘gender’ in their manifestations. It is like saying Heruka is chair and Vy is table…not better or worse. One is not more holy or powerful than the other. Vy’s tantra does not need Heruka’s initiation prior because she is female or lower. She is ‘not’ female in the traditional gender sense. She is a path to enlightenment manifesting as a female for our convenience. So her condensed path derives from Heruka, hence you are doing Heruka in condensed form when practicing Vy.

    Some tantras require a prior initiation of another tantra not because they are a condensed version but because they have paths and attainments that need to be planted in your mindstream that may not be contained in the initiation of the tantra you are practicing. All tantric deities are equal but presentation differ according to need, so some may look as if they are lacking. But the deities are not. For example, when someone is very sick, and White Tara appears to them and gives them instructions to heal, this becomes a sadhana. It can be passed down as so. But within this practice/tantra it does not contain the paths to enlightenment obviously, but more for immediate healing. Hence this tantra would look less superior to let’s say Vy DUE TO PRESENTATION. But from Tara and Vy’s side, they are exactly equal.

    I hope this information helps you.

    For example, before you receive a protector practice such as Kalarupa or Pelden Hlamo, it is recommended you get Yamantaka prior. One of the purpose is for protector practice to be ultimately fully beneficial, you need to do your Yidam very well and transform from within, then you can ‘order’ the protectors to assist you.

    Pelden Hlamo is certainly equal to Yamantaka on the ultimate level, but on the presentation of practice, their function is different.

    Much good wishes for the tantras to flourish inwardly and outwardly. Good luck…

Dear Rinpoche, I bet you would totally love the field of heraldry. Have you ever considered assuming heraldic arms? (You know, one of those shield thingees with a design on it..?) Since it’s traditional to allude visually to the armiger’s name, this suggests a tooth as the central image. And as the equivalent of clergy, you could have a pandit’s hat in place of the knight’s helmet that usually goes on top. http://www.amateurheralds.org is a good site with lots of illustrative examples, and the people there would help you with design. Come on—wouldn’t you like to see Saraswati Arts go wild with this?

PS. There are also Asian traditions similar to heraldry, e.g. Japanese kamon, and if I am not mistaken, Tibetan equivalents as well. (Like the snow lion / mountain seal of the exile government.)

    I would like to visit one day. I don’t like travelling at all and avoid it as much as possible.

    Because my relatives in Xianjiang in fact called today (Dec 24th, 2010) are always asking me to visit. I have many blood relatives there from my mother’s side.

    If I do go, I will visit with Paul of Kechara Discovery Dept who arranges many of my trips from this Dept.

    Keep close to them.

Dear Rinpoche, most historians agree that tantric Buddhism originated between the 4th and 8th centuries AD. If we accept this, this means that the tantras were not, as tradition states, spoken by the historical Buddha—revealed directly from the mind of enlightenment—and kept hidden by dragons, etc. until their historical appearance, but were created by ordinary people (like other religions). We might say that the tantras are symbolic, and therefore still worthwhile, but it would still be a bit like worshipping something which is entirely imaginary, like the Hulk (to use an example from below)! On the other hand, if we reject the findings of mainstream scholarship, this is like those religions who say the scientists are all wrong, and the earth is only a few thousand years old. What do you say about all this? Thank you very much for whatever you can suggest.

    Dear Maxwell,

    Science is based on observation. Not everything is observable. The expounding of the tantras are on many levels. Whether scientists can pinpoint a date of their beginning or not does not make the tantras valid or not valid. Many scientific findings are changed over time as science is by men also and men make mistakes as they are limited.

    Some phenomenas are beyond scientific capabilities but that does not make them not exist.

dear rinpoche i seek to be free from suffering and enlightenment means liberation. why would i want to be a buddha and save all other sentient beings ?is it because buddhahood is the path and if i dont have the aspiration to liberate others i can never negate the self cherishing ego and achieve my own liberation ? the whole point of my seeking the dharma is ultimately to free myself from samsaric suffering..cant i be free and blissed forever in a pureland or in arhatship?

    If you want to heal the sick, you need to study and graduate as a doctor otherwise it is wishful thinking.

    To be a Buddha is to be liberated from one’s own shackles of delusions and illusions so one can serve others better. Otherwise it us one delusionary being leading another… Being liberated is not ‘liberation’ from the problems of samsara others are enduring. Being liberated is getting one’s ‘degree’ to fully qualify one to benefit others fully and eternally.

    When one’s liberated you may appear in a thousand places as a thousand beings (arhat, yidam, beggar, housewife, etc) simultaneously with zero limits of space, time, form and dimensions. You have no borders and parameters.

    You only negate your own suffering by having the true motivation of liberating others. Bodhicitta. Without this, liberating others and oneself is just thinking without much causes.

If I am not mistaken, Your Eminence has recommended the daily recitation of Je Tsongkhapa’s 27 Verses of Enlightenment, the Gaden Lha Gyema, 1000 mantras of Manjushri, Praise to Manjushri, the 108 Names of Manjushri, daily application of the Eight Verses of Mind Training, water offerings, and 21 prostrations. Furthermore we are asked to undertake the daily, weekly, or monthly recitation of the Wheel of Sharp Weapons, and regular study of Lamrim, The Three Principle Aspects of the Path, and Ashvagosha’s 50 Verses of Guru Yoga. In addition we should volunteer our time at animal shelters and (for those living in Malaysia) Kechara’s departments. The amount of time required for all of these activities is considerable, even overwhelming. (I realize that many of these recommendations were given to individual enquirers, and not intended as general advice.) In that light, would you consider—not now, but at your convenience–compiling these into a practical program of advice?

    The practices I have recommended was for the individual. You do not take the combined advice of 15 individuals and ask how can one person do it all. That is not the intent. So do not make it that way.

    You pick what you like from the above and what fits your time and come up with a practical program that fits your life. That would suit you better.

Are your Chinese name (Ge Yishan) and original Mongolian name (Iska Minh) related, or independent of one another? And why did they give you a new name (Burcha) when you were adopted, instead of letting you keep "Iska"?

    1. The name Ge I was given as a toddler was the name of my adopted Taiwan family. The name and family has nothing much to do with my ancestry. But I had to be registered and my real family name could not be used. It was kept a secret, so any name was used.

    2. Iska Minh is the name I would of had if my mother kept me and her family accepted me at the time. This is my original and family Mongolian name.

    3. Burcha was the name given to me by my adopted American Mongolian family who wanted very badly to be their ‘real’ son. My step father’s name is Burcha so he named me Burcha also. My new American family didn’t want me to know the truth of my past, who I was or that I was adopted. They kept my identity from me as long as they can till I found out gradually by accident.

In his book "There's No Way But Up," David Lai says that your original center in Singapore had a "coup d'etat" and that you were even beaten up. If I may ask, what was the name of that center, and why did this happen?

    I was not beaten up. But one of the sponsors there wanted me to make money for the centre and do things exactly his way. He would send me faxes as to what he wanted. He would in meetings ‘democratically’ tell me what I was suppose to do. I was not allowed to visit other centres, have other sponsors, go out with people he did not authorize, my schedule was to be planned and executed by him. He was very wealthy, so he would let the committee (picked by him) to do as he wanted. He told me if I did not follow his instructions then he withdraw all financial help.
    It’s a long story, I will talk more in my book in the future…

Rinpoche, I wrote before but my question seems to have gotten lost in the queue. Basically I had asked why you would support the King of Thailand when, under that nation’s draconian lese majeste law, people are routinely jailed for criticizing him. With one word, he could order the release of prisoners, and the end of lese majeste—and yet he remains silent. Agents of the Thai government have even pressured internet sites such as You-Tube to ban all criticism of the Thai monarchy. I am concerned that Buddhist leaders such as yourself notice only his support for your religion, and not his complicity in the suppression of democracy (monarchism favors Thailand’s upper caste, democracy the lower) or tolerance of sexual slavery (run by the elites who form the basis of his support). Even now, Buddhist monks are being marched into Muslim areas under military escort, as a means of humiliating the local people. Can you really mean to endorse all this?

    I was having technical problems with this section of my blog, but it is rectified. Yes you did post this question, and I could not answer, but now the problem is solved so I can answer.

    I am not involved in politics in any way, anywhere and anytime. I do not know much of the politics of Thailand nor would I get involved.

    We all admire different people in the world. Anyone we admire, others can find causes for criticisms or something we don’t like. There is no one I admire that is above criticism in the eyes of the public.

    I admire His Holiness Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa and Gandhi and people found many faults in all of them. So what to do? Stop admiring?

    I like the King of Thailand for my own reasons and I have shared them. You have every right to feel the way you do and it is your opinion and I respect it. But I still hold onto freedom of who we admire and I mean no offences to you.

Dear Your Emanence, I feel connection to Yamantaka but have no guru. Which way is best to do? (a) Wait to find guru and then do whatever practice he says, Yamantaka or no. (b) Find teacher who specialize in Yamantaka, ask him be my guru. (c) Take public Yamantaka initiation from H.H. Dalai Lama, or other teacher like that, even though he can’t be my personal guru. (d) Give up Yamantaka because too much complicated for ordinary people, and Vajrayogini more suitable, try to receive Vajrayogini instead. (e) Other possibility?     Dear Swallow, I will attempt to answer your sincere questions here.

    1. Study the dharma such as Lam Rim, Wheel of Sharp Weapons, Bodhisattva-cha-avatara, 50 verses by Ashvagosha, and Three Principle Paths.

    2.Although bodhisattva and tantric vows are secret, it is good to look through them to make sure you can follow.

    3. Do your main preliminary practices 100,00 each such as mandala, guru yoga, prostrations, refuge, vajrasattva thoroughly and correctly. If you can do these and complete, you will be more ready for Yamantaka. Study up on them and complete them in the privacy of your home. See your mind through these practices.

    4. When you have completed the above, then seek a Yamantaka lama who can confer full commentary teachings on you and you listen fervently. If you can recieve from His Holiness the Dalai Lama then you are very fortunate. If not, other qualified lamas would be good also of course. More important is your practice after recieving this from the lama.

    5. If you feel more for Yamantaka, then you do Yamantaka. Yamantaka has many incredible qualities that is same in Vajra Yogini. I recommend VY because it is much simpler with same results.

    I wish you luck and for now, you can get an image of Yamantaka for your altar, make offerings and do your preliminary practices in front of this image. This would make powerful affinity with Lord Yamantaka. Also it would be good to recite the WHEEL OF SHARP WEAPONS daily in front of your Yamantaka shrine. Do your prostrations, mandalas, offerings in front of Yamantaka daily. That would be wonderful. I sincerely rejoice for you from the bottom of my heart to have such faith in Lord Yamantaka.

    I recall you in your peaceful,
    wrathful, protective, male, female and mystical forms.

    You are undiluted wisdom that realizes reality,
    through this realization you cut the bonds of samsara,

Rinpoche, you've mentioned in one of your online videos that you've known of ordinary people being able to have a controlled death. Being a Rinpoche is not a strict requirement. That gives us ordinary people much hope. My guess is that following as much as possible your teachings on your blog would be the key. Or is there much more than that ? thank you so much ! please remain for a very long time to guide us.

    Dear Ng,

    Controlled death was taught by Lord Buddha for all beings not just Rinpoches. So it is available to all who wish to practice.

    Controlled death, means controlled bardo and controlled rebirth also. Death, bardo and rebirth teachings is in any of the higher tantric practices. One must recieve the higher tantras with commentaries, hold the commitments, do the practices and hold onto one’s vows strictly to acquire the merits to accomplish the path.

    The tantras are not practiced for controlled death but it is one of the side benefits that arise. The purpose of the tantras is to tranform ordinary view into divine view to expedite one’s enlightenment during the degenerate age without losing the chance to this precious human rebirth’s afforded opportunities.

    I like your question very much and you are right, there is much more. But the much more is very exciting and very beneficial to yourself and others when you practice and master.

    I wish you supreme luck and encourage you to practice dharma all the way. There is nothing in samsara you have not already done…everything is just repetitions…..

谢松平讲法师(即将出家)

作为讲法师,谢松平主要是透过法会、仪式、辅导和分享佛法知识,将此生用在协助詹杜固仁波切弘法利生的事业上。

谢松平于2011年被授任为讲法师,他的佛法事业既丰富又多元,既曾在克切拉天堂文物中心担任过举足轻重的职务,也曾是尊贵的詹杜固仁波切的私人助理,不仅到过不同圣地朝圣,也接受过多项高级瑜伽密续灌顶。他熟悉多种法会仪式,对佛法也有深入的理解。

作为讲法师,谢松平主要是透过法会、仪式、辅导和分享佛法知识,将此生用在协助詹杜固仁波切弘法利生的事业上。

当谢松平第一次遇见詹杜固仁波切时,仁波切就问他是否愿意出家为僧。虽然那是谢松平的心愿,不过当时的他还是告诉仁波切,自己打算迟一些再出家。对谢松平来说,本身既然已经是全职佛法工作者,出家将会是最好的事。仁波切不时都会提醒谢松平为出家做准备,而他也答应自己未来将会出家。

克切拉从零开始发展至今日的克切拉禅修林这么大规模的计划——谢松平觉得,目前正是他出家的最佳时刻。于是当仁波切再次问起他出家的打算时,他就一口答应了。

邝仁爱讲法师(即将出家)

J仁爱希望成为传承宗喀巴大师法教的媒介,利益年轻下一代;并且启发更多人把佛陀的教诲实践在生活里。

由于邝仁爱的父母亲很多年前就开始跟克切拉有很深的接触,所以她年幼时期就遇见了尊贵的詹杜固仁波切。没有仁波切的日子,对她来说是难于想象的。仁爱自小就在詹拉章当志工。在考获英国伦敦沃里克大学心理学学士后,她在伦敦缓刑管理局工作。之后回到马来西亚加入E 部门,负责管理kechara.com的每周 Kechara 电子新闻,工作内容包括撰稿和审稿。较后,她加入仁波切的写作小组,负责执行仁波切的指示,以及管理仁波切的往来信件。

在2004年参访印度的一家僧尼庵之后,仁爱说,她还记得当时看见里面的每个人都洋溢着快乐的笑脸,大家的生活都很有目标。她也感觉很熟悉,看在她眼里,僧袍是如此的舒服和自在。在征询了母亲的意见后,仁爱立即给仁波切发短信告诉他自己想要出家的念头。当时仁波切劝告她必须先完成大学学业,如此一来,当她讲法时,一言一语才能有力量和深度。她是在将来要出家为僧尼的推动力下完成大学学业。

仁爱希望透过出家为僧尼,把自己当成传承宗喀巴大师法教的媒介,利益年轻下一代;并且启发更多人把佛陀的教诲实践在生活里。她希望通过这样的方式来回报父母亲和上师的恩惠。此外,她也希望自己和别人都能同时离苦得乐。

陈稚鑫讲法师(即将出家)

对稚鑫而言,下定决心努力利益众生及通过分享佛法来回报他人恩惠,是她所跨出的一大步。

在加入克切拉之前,陈稚鑫是一名讲师、课程内容编写员,同时也负责编写电子学习方案。在负责给各大学院教职人员准备“特殊用途英语”(ESP)训练课程的当儿,她受邀出席尊贵的詹杜固仁波切的开示。这场开示重新点燃她对藏传佛教的兴趣,唤起她年少时经常跟父母出席佛法开示的美好回忆。

2006年,陈稚鑫加入克切拉媒体出版社,成为全职的市场执行员,负责把仁波切的教诲推广到世界各角落。如今,稚鑫是詹拉章的一员,负责照顾仁波切的世俗事务,让仁波切专注于弘法利生工作。

稚鑫说,当她决定加入克切拉当全职职工时,就誓言要把此生用在做一些利益众生的事。由于在仁波切身边侍奉,她亲见上师即使面对多艰巨的挑战,都不曾言倦地协助别人,弘扬甘丹寺的传承佛法;这让她明了出家为尼是她的下一步,如此才能创造向上师学习佛法的条件。这也是稚鑫努力利益众生及通过分享佛法回报他人恩惠,所跨出的一大步。

温婉如讲法师(即将出家)

自从在克切拉找到了自己的心灵归宿后,婉如就把佛法事业作为她人生的使命,并希望将一生都用来弘法利生。

婉如在2010年底无意中发现了詹杜固仁波切的博客,之后就一直跟随仁波切的博客和面子书。在2012年7月自台湾法鼓文理学院考获佛教学系文学硕士学位后,婉如就回到马来西亚加入克切拉成为资深教育执行员。婉如深受仁波切说法时的直率风格所吸引,也惊叹于克切拉在仁波切的领导下所取得的发展成绩。对她而言,仁波切是一位言行一致、言出必行、真心关怀他人的大师。他无疑是上师依止心的最佳榜样,这也是婉如一心要在自己心里生起的美好特质。

自从在克切拉找到了自己的心灵归宿后,婉如就把佛法事业作为她人生的使命。2013年5月,她正式请求仁波切授予她出家戒,她希望通过出家将生命完全奉献在弘法利生上。婉如说,出家意味着自己真诚回应内在的呼唤,即将佛法贯彻于生活及造福他人。

T这个目标唯有在遇见根本上师并向他学习后才可能达到;婉如很幸运的遇见了自己的根本上师——尊贵的詹杜固仁波切。

尼拉讲法师(即将出家)

尼拉请求出家受戒,一方面是为了提升自己,另一方面也希望能透过学习传承法教,将纯净的教诲延续到下一代。他发愿要像上师詹杜固仁波切利益他那样来造福其他人。

尼拉在英国出生和长大,大学时期主修人类学。毕业之后,他曾先后在一家酒店式公寓及旅馆公司及一家管理公司担任财务管理员。在一个偶然的机缘下,他在网络上发现了尊贵的詹杜固仁波切的 Youtube 频道。正是透过仁波切的教诲,尼拉开始明白如果想要自利利他,最重要的就是要修习佛法。

在网络上与仁波切“结缘”之后,尼拉一直都与詹杜固仁波切其中一位在英国的弟子保持联系。在后者的鼓励下,他于2012年底专程前来马来西亚克切拉佛教中心进行十天的访问和学习。离开前,詹杜固仁波切要求尼拉加入克切拉佛教团体。尼拉毅然答应了。

2013年2月,尼拉离开英国迁移到马来西亚,开始在克切拉佛教中心担任教育协调员一职,协助教育小组编排和实施新课程纲要,同时也参与克切拉周日儿童佛法班的授课工作。自遇见詹杜固仁波切以来,仁波切不断鼓励他多从事佛法事业,努力改进自己。尼拉也将仁波切的叮嘱铭记于心,正因如此,他决定向詹杜固仁波切提出出家的请求。

陈锦丽讲法师(即将出家)

锦丽专注于透过佛法分享、辅导、法会和其他佛教服务,给每一个走入克切拉的人指引和帮助。她希望能藉由协助弘扬宗喀巴大师的殊胜法教及启发别人踏上灵修之路来报答上师的恩惠。这也是亲爱的上师一直以来对她的劝告。

锦丽在2006年跟友人前往金双威用餐时发现了克切拉佛教中心,之后立即参与了克切拉主办的活动。她更踊跃参与了当时的一千万《缘悲经》念诵闭关。 2006年4月,锦丽遇见了尊贵的詹杜固仁波切,也第一次出席了仁波切的开示,那次的开示让锦丽禁不止流泪。当时的她并不明白自己哭泣的原因,直到后来她才明白那是因为自己终于找到了完美的上师,而仁波切慈悲地以身示教的弘法方式更是深深感动了她。

锦丽在2009年加入克切拉佛教中心成为全职职工,负责内部事务。目前,她是克切拉佛教中心其中一位前台服务经理,主要驻派在彭亨文冬的禅修林。此外,她也在星期天的佛法班授课,并经常作为詹杜固仁波切博客聊天室的协调员。

仁波切的许多教诲改变了她生命里的轻重缓急。她在佛法中找到了生命的目标,也意识到只有跟随佛陀的慈悲和智慧之道,才是克服痛苦和愤怒的方法。 这个领悟让她提出了出家的请求。

罗胜彪讲法师(即将出家)

罗胜彪决心协助仁波切弘扬佛法,带着这个坚定的决心,罗胜彪放弃到剑桥大学继续研读博士学位(他当时已获录取)的机会,也辞去了研究工作,全职协助仁波切从事佛法事业,至今从不言悔。

罗胜彪于2001年初遇尊贵的詹杜固仁波切时,并没想过自己会全心全意投入佛法事业。那一年,工程系硕士学位毕业的他正在新加坡从事工程研究工作。然而,仁波切的开示让他留下非常深刻的印象。跟仁波切有过几次接触之后,罗胜彪开始为仁波切和克切拉架设网站。

罗胜彪虽是理科班出生,却深感人生有许多疑问是科学无法圆满解答的。与此同时,他也发现任凭科学技术再怎么发达,也不能真正解决人类所面对的难题,因为今天科技发达,生活水准比起几千年前高出许多,但是人类仍然面对着同样的问题,我们也不见得过得比古人幸福快乐。

在接触仁波切之后,罗胜彪很快就意识到佛法是解决这些问题的究竟方案,而仁波切采用的方法也非常适合现代社会。因此,罗胜彪决心协助仁波切弘扬佛法,带着这个坚定的决心,罗胜彪放弃到剑桥大学继续研读博士学位(他当时已获录取)的机会,也辞去了研究工作,全职协助仁波切从事佛法事业,至今从不言悔。

对罗胜彪而言,遇见仁波切是个全新的人生经历。仁波切让他看到了佛法可以在跳出传统框架的同时,依然保留其精髓。因为身为仁波切的私人助理,罗胜彪有过许多不可思议的经历。他自认非常幸运,能亲眼见证仁波切无论在法座上或生活中,都把佛法化为具体的行动。这些经验在在考验他,挑战他每时每刻都修持佛法。透过这个方式,仁波切成功地剔除他既往偏重佛法仪式的陈腐思维模式。

罗胜彪因亲见仁波切以身示法,所以深信要让心识提升至更高层次,进而获得证悟是绝对可能的。这种种因素促使罗胜彪再踏出一步,受任成为讲法师,好让自己能更有效地弘扬佛法和利益众生。

郭月谊讲法师

个性内向的郭月谊,凭着勇气和决心,将本身的弱点转为优点,还一一将曾经的不可能都化为可能。

郭月谊从9岁起就必须学会独立,年幼的她必须一边上学,一边还要打工赚钱养家。她个性内向,不善于表达自己的想法,朋友也不多,所以她在毕业后加入报馆成为记者,让许多认识她的人大跌眼镜。

郭月谊在光明日报和南洋商报任职期间,曾因表现优异而获奖。写作让她找到了一个抒发感受和想法的管道,而她的文章也为她吸引了一众读者。然而,这一切都不能带给月谊真正的满足。短暂的快乐并不是她所要的——成功、金钱、关系和名誉并不是快乐的关键。

在寻找快乐的过程中,月谊遇见了尊贵的詹杜固仁波切。仁波切告诉她“不要以言语来反驳他人,反而应利用文字来好好表达自己。”这促使她加入克切拉媒体出版社成为撰稿人,后升任为资深编辑,同时也是詹杜固仁波切的其中一位协调助理。

郭月谊目前是克切拉佛教中心的主席,也是首席讲法师,除了讲法师的日常事务如辅导、法会、讲课之余,她也必须管理和安排克切拉佛教中心和讲法师团体中的各种大小事务。这些年在克切拉的所学和经历,让她拥有一个更宽容和开放的胸襟,使她更懂得安抚和辅导那些有需要的人。而她后期培养出的讲课和栽培新人的能力,也给许多人带来了希望。

凭着勇气和决心,郭月谊将本身的弱点转为优点,一一将曾经的不可能都化为可能。

谢晓晶讲法师

担任讲法师职位长达一年后,谢晓晶决定更新戒誓,继续扛起讲法师的责任。

谢晓晶在1999年毕业于广州暨南大学,持有内外全科医学学士学位。之后,她在吉隆坡一间中医学院兼任讲授西方医学的讲师多年。

一直以来,虽然谢晓晶表面上看似一位无神论者,但是潜意识里却不断寻找一位可回答她深藏在内心疑问的精神导师。这些得不到解答的疑问曾在大学时期导致她陷入忧郁状态。为此,谢晓晶经常透过阅读哲学书籍,以期能得到问题的解答。

2007年,谢晓晶经由她十年好友郭月谊讲法师的介绍,初次来到了克切拉。 谢晓晶对完全没有信仰的老友月谊讲法师的彻底改变感到非常惊讶和好奇。在一次偶然的机会下,谢晓晶阅读了克切拉媒体(简称:克媒)出版社的《贪得无厌》。起初,她惯性地以怀疑的态度阅读,试图找出书中谬误之处。然而, 这一次她不仅找不到漏洞,反而对书中逻辑条理分明的解释留下深刻的印象。

2009年3月,谢晓晶加入克媒兼任中文翻译和抄录工作。翌年,她慎重考虑未来的事业方向,思考如何在医学和佛法事业中做出取舍。最终,她选择了佛法事业。谢晓晶领悟到两者虽然同为救济职业,但她相信佛法事业能更深入地利益一切有情。

担任讲法师职位长达一年后,谢晓晶决定更新戒誓,继续扛起讲法师的责任。

林汉妮讲法师

在亲眼目睹尊贵的詹杜固仁波切如何协助她的母亲得到临终前的平静后,林汉妮才意识到自己也希望以佛法来触动他人。

林汉妮是一位退休中学校长,持有莱切斯特大学教育硕士学位,从事教育工作长达30年后于2001年底退休。工作以外,她也是两名孩子的母亲。

在完成硕士学位后,林汉妮考虑继续考取教育博士学位,或打算在退休之后好好去旅游和探望亲友。与此同时,她也在寻找灵修上的方向。因此,林汉妮开始探讨上座部和中国大乘佛教的教义,以期能找到人生的答案。

2004年12月,林汉妮参加了尊贵的格列仁波切举办的《菩提道次第》及白度母闭关。在闭关期间,林汉妮发现自己的问题逐渐有了答案。然后,在 2005年6月,她在姐姐的介绍下来到克切拉,也因此遇见了她的精神导师尊贵的詹杜固仁波切。詹杜固仁波切最近劝告她必须为了众生的利益全神投入佛法事业。

虽然林汉妮有接近二十年的校园辅导经验,但直到亲眼目睹尊贵的詹杜固仁波切如何协助她的母亲得到临终前的平静后,林汉妮才意识到自己也希望以佛法来触动他人。

目前,林汉妮除了是克切拉法会小组成员,在克切拉祈愿堂进行赞助法会以外,还是克切拉教育小组的成员,专注于编著教育内容。此外,林汉妮也是詹杜固仁波切博客的每周“克切拉聊天室小组”成员之一。

黎国圆讲法师

在2014年,黎国圆本着想要帮助更多人的心愿,决定受戒成为佛教讲法师,继续为克切拉团体提供一切与佛法相关的服务。

黎国圆跟随尊贵的詹杜固仁波切学法长达10余年,属于克切拉初创时期的成员之一。他于2005年加入克切拉天堂文物中心成为全职员工,后来也曾陆续在克切拉团体的其他部门服务。

打从一开始,詹杜固仁波切就鼓励黎国圆投入写作工作。在克服了种种障碍后,黎国圆终于展开写作生涯,并在2009年推出他的第一本著作和自传《There’ s No Way But Up》(不进则退)。这本书记述了他自幼的灵修旅程,直到他遇见根本上师――尊贵的詹杜固仁波切的种种经历。

世界各地读者对“There’ s No Way But Up”一书的热烈反应推动黎国圆继续撰写其他著作,包括尼泊尔朝圣指南《Vajrayogini and other Power Places in Nepal》(金刚瑜伽母及尼泊尔其他圣地)、短篇故事集《Tales My Lama Told Me》(上师告诉我的那些传说)以及关于情感关系的《Conversations in Love》(亲密对话)。这些著作给许多人带来启发,也将无数人带向佛法的殿堂。

除了写作,黎国圆自从在克切拉天堂工作的时期开始,就非常热衷于跟他人分享佛法。这些年来,黎国圆从詹杜固仁波切那里接受了无数宝贵的教诲,内容涵盖詹杜固仁波切的公开开示以及仁波切给黎国圆的个人指示和忠告。在大家的印象中,黎国圆一直都是个十分热衷于分享佛法的人。无论他到哪儿去,遇见什么人,他都会热情地与他人分享佛法。在2014年,黎国圆本着想要帮助更多人的心愿,决定受戒成为佛教讲法师,继续为克切拉团体提供一切与佛法相关的服务。

黄松发讲法师

跟随仁波切学法多年之后,黄松发深明讲法师在克切拉团体扮演的重要角色,因此他希望自己也能成为一名讲法师,以进一步为仁波切、克切拉及社会大众服务。

黄松发于1952年出生在马来西亚槟城州。1969年中五毕业后,他南下吉隆坡寻找就业机会。多年来他从事过各种不同的行业,也曾面对失业的窘境。就在1997至1998年期间,正在待业的他受邀到表妹林秀月家中(现为拿督林秀月)参加詹杜固仁波切的佛法开示。第一次的会面,就让他对詹杜固仁波切深入浅出的教法留下了十分深刻的印象。

在仁波切慈悲的开示和引导下,黄松发两夫妻进行了他们首次的闭关修行。他和妻子李淑芳也在仁波切的建议下开始经营小生意,并在很短的时间内就盈利。几年后,克切拉佛教中心正式成立,仁波切开始遴选弟子担任协调助理,而黄松发和拿督林秀月就在那时候毛遂自荐担起这项任务。后来,随着越来越多弟子加入协调助理的阵容,克切拉协调助理理事会也跟着正式成立。今天,协调助理理事会虽已改名为董事会,黄松发却依旧是其中一员。

黄松发目前的职务为克切拉禅修林工程总监,主要负责监督禅修林大小项目的建设以及确保工程能如期完工。在这之前,他曾担任克切拉天堂文物中心部门主管长达10年。此外,黄松发也是克切拉团体多个部门的总监,并曾在2012至2013年期间受委为克切拉佛教中心副主席。

跟随仁波切学法多年之后,黄松发深明讲法师在克切拉团体扮演的重要角色,因此他希望自己也能成为一名讲法师,以进一步为仁波切、克切拉及社会大众服务。黄松发计划在晚年出家为僧,而担任讲法师一职正有助于他朝这个目标前进。黄松发深信:当一个人的年纪越大,就越应该为死亡的逼近做好准备。他认为能身着僧袍在克切拉禅修林迎接死亡是生命最美丽的终结。然而,在那一刻到来之前,黄松发希望自己能继续竭尽所能为克切拉禅修林、社区和前来禅修林的每一个人服务。当体力再也无法负荷的时候,他会请求仁波切允许他在克切拉禅修林投入闭关。

林秀云讲法师

如今,秀云最渴望的是把自己的余生都投入佛法工作和修行,从而利益更多人。

在投入佛法工作前,秀云是一位空闲的家庭主妇。20年前,她有幸遇见了尊贵的詹杜固仁波切和前往甘丹寺朝圣。这一个星期的朝圣之旅改变了她的人生观,让她觉悟到人生除了吃喝、逛街和玩乐,还有其他更有意义的事。她喜欢仁波切的佛法开示,因为那不但符合逻辑和实践性强,且还特别强调利益他人的重要性。仁波切让佛法显得浅显易懂,而他一直以来的忠告总是“改变内在,而非外在”。

实修佛法多年之后,林秀云于2009年决定在本身居住的槟城设立佛教文物中心,以期跟更多人结下佛缘。她知道仁波切的佛法教诲十分实用,十分适合现代人,而仁波切佛法事业也能利惠许多人,所以她希望跟更多人分享仁波切的教诲,也希望能借此来回报仁波切多年来对她的恩惠和指导。今天,位于槟城的克切拉天堂不仅仅是一间文物店,还是一个主办佛法分享会、法会和放生活动的地方。

2010年,同样也是在仁波切的加持下,秀云在槟城设立了克切拉香积厨活动中心,秉持仁波切强调“以行动展现慈悲”的精神,积极为减轻流浪汉和贫困家庭的苦痛出一份力。槟城克切拉香积厨除了每周四次的派饭行动,也每月一次为赤贫家庭提供基本食粮。

如今,秀云最渴望的是,用自己的余生投入佛法工作和修行,从而利益更多人。

利荣讲法师

利荣于2008年加入克切拉天堂文物中心成为兼职员工。然而,在对仁波切和克切拉事业有了进一步的了解之后,仁波切的慈悲深深触动了他。与此同时,他也意识到这份工作让他的生命更具意义,因此毅然全职加入克切拉团体。

作为克切拉天堂的业务执行员,让利荣有机会从仁波切的教诲中学习到更多佛法。这些佛法智慧让他能够帮助那些走入文物中心的人们解决各种问题,从而改善他们的生命。

这些经历让利荣很快地就决定跟随仁波切的步伐,并在2016年受戒成为讲法师,进一步以佛法来服务和造福他人。

It\'s very nice to see volunteers helping maintain holy sites in Kechara Forest Retreat, it\'s very good for them. Cleaning Buddha statues is a very powerful and effective way of purifying body karma.

Kechara Forest Retreat is preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. This is our holy Vajra Yogini stupa which is now surrounded by beautiful lanterns organised by our students.
