Considering herself born to extremely understanding parents, Jean Ai confesses to being accident-prone as a young child, worrying her family by getting into all sorts of scrapes with scars to prove it. When she was not falling over, her nose would be buried in books, soaking up all of the life lessons that Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl could possibly provide.

A non-conformist by nature, her early ambitions included police officer, human rights lawyer, politician and Greenpeace volunteer. A trip to the oceanarium developed her teenage obsession of becoming a marine biologist. Her spare time thereafter was dedicated to studying the anatomy of cetaceans and the like. Her dream, however, was swiftly put to rest once she realised that proficiency in Chemistry was a requirement of the job, and her distinct disinterest in the subject proved to be an insurmountable stumbling block.

Upon her guru H.E. Tsem Rinpoche's advice, Jean Ai pursued a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Warwick. Having grown up under the Dharma umbrella however, Buddhism was never far from her life. Her predominant teenage memory is being taken to the Dharma centre to attend hours of pujas and talks that she could not comprehend. Undeterred by the strange happenings around her, she thought, “Well, if you can’t understand ‘em, join ‘em and learn more. Then, maybe one day you will understand.”

And "join em" she did. After a year working in London, Jean Ai returned to Malaysia to join Kechara on a full time basis. She now serves H.E Tsem Rinpoche directly as a member of Tsem Ladrang, and as an editor with the writers' team.

    Watching ghost movies is simply a form of entertainment which I do enjoy most. Frightening scenes activate our sympathetic nervous system such as increasing adrenaline, heart rate, and alertness. I do believe the existence of ghosts or spirits. Its scary for some but not me anymore since learning and practicing Dharma . Many do believe in spirits and an afterlife, often rooted in ancient customs or religion. They always feel connected to deceased loved ones. Many people report seeing or feeling spirits during times of high stress, grief, or unfamiliar environments and at times in their dreams as well. Ghost are unseen beings trapped in a realm of intense sufferings due to past greed, strong attachment, and negative karma as Buddha had explained before. Learning and practicing Dharma is the best choice as the feeling of fear disappeared. And having Powerful Protector pendants will protect us from harm.

    Changing our perspective alters how we experience life because our reality is shaped by the lens through which we view it. As this will change in the core beliefs and way of understanding how things work. When we change the way we see and do things the world, things will itself changes to a better situation. Shifting perspective helps us connect more deeply with the world around us. Learning and reading new knowledge can change the way we think. There are times when the greatest change needed is a change of our viewpoint in life. Reading blog there’s plenty to learn a profound teaching. Viewing a problem as a learning chance turns stress into growth. alters how you feel and react to it.

    Kathmandu is the capital and largest city of Nepal. Kathmandu is a cultural centre of Nepal with many rich ancient architecture, sacred temples, and is the gateway to the Himalayas mountains for trekkers and climbers. Its was there that our Guru H E Tsem Rinpoche had no way to put a night stopped Phelgyeling Monastery where he met a kind monk. Rinpoche was given shelter and food. Nyanang Phelgye Ling Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastic center located at Swayambhu Stupa in Kathmandu. Rinpoche never forgot this monk’s kindness that back in 2018 sent students to Kathmandu, Nepal to meet this kind monk Gelong Tamdrin. They had the opportunity to have an audience with Gelong Tamdrin, the kind monk.
    Thank you Rinpoche sharing this with us. A reminder to us never forgot who has help us during difficult time.

    During the 19th and early 20th centuries, Chinese migrants came to Malaysia primarily to escape poverty and political unrest. They were attracted by job opportunities in tin mining and plantations. Many travelled from Southern China by boat to Malaysia. That’s how the Tan family set foot on Malaysia to start the traditional Chinese medicine business. From rag to riches they founded the Tan Ah Chin & Son Medicine Hall in Penang.The story set an example of how Dorje Shugden had help the Tan family in comic. form. When we have faith and rely on this Powerful Protector, it will answer the prayers of those who seek assistance.

    Yes even with our Dharma practice and doing Dharma work we have to do our homework. Practicing Dharma through Dharma work and turning our daily tasks into a path of kindness, patience, and service for others. We have to set the correct motivation, practice mindfulness and letting go our ego. Be patience and have compassion while doing the work by staying calm. What is important to transform our mind while helping and benefiting others from it without agenda.

    We are not alone, Buddha has said before. Modern technology has found thousands of planets outside our solar system . Astronomers too have discovered over the past few decades there’s more planets out there that can support life in our universe. Its there any living creatures that can survive no one know or any aliens could.
    Astronomers and scientists are trying to discover more whether there’s life on other planets.As the universe is so incredible vast I do believe there’s life out there. Scientists yet to answer whether there’s life in other planets. One day they might as there’s modern technology. Interesting read .
