Question asked by Anila Tenzin Chime
Hello precious people. I am a gelupa (UK ordained in 1982) nun Tenzin Chime. I live on Vancouver Island Canada. I have my own acreage where I rescue and care for abandoned sick and traumatized horses. I have also established a small but beautiful Tibetan teaching temple for local residents of this very rural area. The words of The Buddha have been astonishingly life saving for many and growing.
My root guru is His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Yeshe who died so I am very alone with only the support of a beautiful Sakya Lama 3 hours away. I would very much like Rinpoche's help as I have been asked by one of my Dharma group to MARRY her, as she only wishes for me to bless their marriage ceremony with a Buddhist blessing. Of course legally they will be married by a registrar first. I am happy beyond words to do this but would really ask for Rinpoche's advice as to how to do this without getting anything wrong for the Buddha. I understand that monks and nuns apparently do not attend marriages, but this is precious to this couple and they are very lovely humans.

Dear Anila
Thank you for sharing with us the wonderful work you are doing in your community for the animals and the spread of dharma.
Here in Kechara, when Rinpoche gives wedding blessings, it is done in our gompa. I hope this 2 video links provided below will give you the information you are looking for as to how it was done by Rinpoche including the motivation and message to the couple.
