Question asked by Darren
Dear Pastors,
Thank you so much for your help regarding Manjushri practices. The advice was very helpful!
I have another issue that I'm hoping you may be able to help me with. My grandmother is very ill. My family and I are hoping for the best, but at this point things seem quite uncertain. Can you recommend any mantras or prayers a non-initiate can do to help her? I've contemplated sponsoring some prayers at a temple, but I'd also like to do something personally. She has been an inspiration to me all my life and the least I can do is personally dedicate some mantras to her. I've been doing metta and tonglen meditation for her, and I've been reciting "Om Mani Padme Hung", dedicating the merit to her. I'm unsure of what else to do.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
Dear Darren
How kind of you and expressing your thanks and gratefulness to your grandma by considering doing prayers for her. Medicine Buddha and Setrap prayers can be done by non-initiaties and will be good for anyone who are unwell.
