Question asked by Don
Hello, Pastors!
At this time, I don't have a statue of Lord Tsongkhapa. I have a Thangka depicting Him and His Sons which I want to use, but I'm not sure how high to hang it. In a meditation posture it would be too high over my altar to see, but I don't want to be disrespectful by hanging it too low. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hi Don,
I wouldn’t worry so much about how high to hang the thangka as long as it serves your intended purpose and it is in a practical location.
Since you are using it for visualization , just hang it where your eyes can study the images comfortably where you are sitting.I hang my thangka where the central image is about 4 ft from the ground. If it is too high, just move back a little. Hope above helps as this is quite subjective and depends on the size of the thangka as well.
