Question asked by Guilty and Sorry
I've intentionally broke one of the 5 precepts. Regretted my action and now facing the consequences. I have made a vow not to do it against in front of my guru's throne and promise not to repeat my mistake. After making the vow, I still feel very guilty and think that I am so wrong since I ve been a Buddhist for my whole life? Is there anything that I can do to make myself move on and be a better person?
You will be fine. It is your guilt working on you. If you have confessed from the depths of your heart then ok. A good practice is the sutra of 35 Confessional Buddhas to recite once a day sincerely from your heart. It is profound for purifying all types of negative karma.
