Question asked by laylady
Dear Pastors,
I have an akward question, I have been celebrate for a couple of years now, and recently a vegetarian for a month so far :). my problem is during my waking life I do not think about lust in any way or do I have sexual fantasies or sexually relieve myself in any way. I find anything sexual disgusting. But in the dream world when I sleep, most of my dreams are sexual or lustful. When i wake up i feel so very disgusted.
I am no way forcing myself in anyway to divert or avoid sexual thoughts/lust during waking life….i just am not interested in those things and find them disgusting.
Help, what can I do to avoid lustful/sexual dreams. I want to have Buddhist dreams or anything else but lustful/sexual dreams.
thanks
metta.
Dear laylady
Rinpoche has adviced people in the past who have disturbing dreams. Do take a read :
Dreams sometimes can be from fear, a warning or a message or nothing. It depends on many circumstances. It varies. If you wish to stop your negative dreams so you can have a peaceful sleep, you can engage in the practice of Trakpo Sumtril (a form of Vajrapani) or Black Manjushri. These two practices will help you very much. I wish you peace and good rest and spiritual growth. – TR
