This singapore tibetan temple prayed to lama tsongkapa but they prayed to different protectors, I need such answer, I am very confused, diffused etc and need more englightenment , please help me. This is why I am and still searching for a real one whether, islam, christianity, taoism and buddhism, I am in the dark world and needed to be enlightened.Chai Heng I am happy that your raise simple question but now I put these to the pastors and hopefully rinpoche can help me and answer me.
Do we have the time in this short life to search for one real religion to follow? What is real and how would a “real” religion look like to you? If someone were to tell you that they have found a real religion, would you fully believe whole heartedly and if yes, on what basis? Therefore, perhaps what you are searching for and the question you have has no satisfactory answer in the end.
Rather, to view all mainstream religion that we know of as good is more beneficial. Millions throughout hundreds of years have benefitted. It cannot be that these religion are not real when so many people have benefitted from it.
Different religion and faiths are suitable for different minds. If we all can accept just one teaching and be enlightened, then Buddha Shakyamuni would not have taught 84 000 teachings. Which of these teachings are real? They all are.
In Buddhism we learn of karma and affinity. At such, those drawn to different paths are said to have practiced them in a past life/lives. How easily we are drawn towards a spiritual path came from our practice or lack of practice on our part. How affected or unaffected we are when we see disturbing attitudes from practitioners should actually inspire us instead to be better and not be discouraged or distraught.
Lama Tsongkhapa’s practice is very beneficial for clarity of mind, stabilizing as he is the buddha of compassion, wisdom and spiritual power. Do watch this teaching by Rinpoche.
