Fur from China
I found this video on Youtube. It is made by PETA who does a great job in highlighting animal cruelty. Since 1981, PETA has helped A LOT in reducing cruelty to animals…from highlighting cases of small mice dying a horrible death from glue trap to highlighting the scary global fur trade.
This video is highly graphic, be warned, but it exposes and shows the raw truth of what goes on to feed the fur industry. It is important to see.
It is a shame that people still want fur. We must play our part in sharing videos like these which will educate people on such cruelty that still exists in our world. Share this with everyone please..

Heart breaking after watching the video. Its really sad watching those animals including bludgeoning, neck-breaking while many are skinned alive. The way they were killed just for their fur is horrible inhumane practices. In fact those animals are confined to relatively small wire cages with little enrichment. Millions of fur-bearing animals are killed every year by trappers worldwide. For many of us, wearing fur is simply cruel, and to be avoided at all costs. China is the largest importer of fur pelts in the world and the largest exporter of finished fur products. Glad that campaign groups such as PETA have long highlighted the cruelty of such farms. Fur farming is now banned in a number of countries such as Austria, Croatia, the United Kingdom and so forth. Not only causing the suffering and deaths of millions of animals each year, the production of wool, fur, and leather contributes to climate change, land devastation, pollution, and even water contamination. Hopefully the fur industry can work together with farms with better regulations.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing to bring awareness of the cruelty of animal at fur farm.
Most people think animal cruelty is mainly people being unkind to animals. Based on the article million innocent animals were tortured and killed for their fur or skin off their backs. The fur industry is such a cruel heartless business that is bad for the environment and unnecessary.
It’s horrendous, I can’t believe that fur from China has so much demand. Shock to see the industries cheapest and cruelest methods used in killing the animals. All the animals are victims of cruelty spent their whole lives restricted to filthy, cramped wire cages. This has to come to an end.
The industry will continue to grow wild if there is no restriction. The success of any business depends upon how they are creating the demand for a product in the target market and then, how they are managing the supplies to fulfill that demand.
It is a very cruel act by these fur manufacturer. Everyone should be exposed to such cruelty and bring awareness that wearing fur bring lots of suffering and pain to the animals. it is very selfish to think wearing clothes made of fur are stylish. We create pain on others for our own happiness.
Could not believe what I saw……shocking and speechless. So cruel indeed the way they did to the fox, and other fury animals. Million of animal has been killed for their fur every year. China is the world ‘s largest fur exporter, supplying more than half of the finished fur garments made from foxes, minks, and other animals. PETA did a great job in highlighting animal cruelty in China. Undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms, they found that many animals are still alive and struggling as shown in the shocking video.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing .
That is how these poor animals suffer before they are being slaughtered for food, fur and etc. What did the animals do to deserve this? I’ve asked a few schoolmates of mine before and one of them gave me the worst comment ever. He said: it’s because they are animals and they tasted good. Is that how people who don’t know Dharma like that?
It’s not a good feeling to watch the poor animals suffer. It’s so unnecessary to wear those on you, can you imagine the total amount of suffering the animals have to go through just to keep you ‘warm’? It’s not worth it, animals have feelings too. How would you imagine if you were the one to be thrown on the ground and skinned alive? It doesn’t feel good isn’t it? Then why make the animals suffer?
I absolutely detest the fact that people who commit such atrocities to innocent animals for fashion. This mass genocide for clothes is horrendous. The people who do such things, obviously do not have a single care for sentient beings and they are ignorant of the results of their horrific actions.
Mass murder of animals is still killing. Killing is a sin. The sin leads to karmic retribution. The consequences are very bad. If they are not affected in their current life, their future life is bound to be bad.
When there are people like this, both the animals and the murderers has to have sympathy. One is ignorant and is slaughtered. One slaughters because they are ignorant. Very sad.
Dear Rinpoche,
OH MY BUDDHA!!! I can’t believe that a leather jacket or any other furs we wear looks like a normal jacket/coat but actually the truth is that the animal of which the fur we are wearing had to be thrown. stepped on, beaten, swung around and hooked up by the ear just so consumers/customers can be warm, stylish and comfortable.
What Peta is doing is very very good and I hope more and more people will come to realize how much suffering a animal has to go through and even death just so to produce a fur coat.
It is no wonder a lot of animals like wolfs, polar bears and other exotic animals are going extinct and people are still so puzzled why this kind of animals are fast disappearing form Mother Earth.
What they don’t know is that it is actually because of us and not the Earth’s problem that lots of animals like sharks, lions, tigers, pandas and etc are really disappearing.
Thank you Rinpoche for making awareness for the people visiting this blog and aslo for sharing this video.

This is so cruel. I can’t believe that china does this to the animals that they are going to make fur of. Its also sad that they can’t even put in the effort onto giving them a painless death. The death they give these animals is just so hard to watch. They beat them with sticks and they just give them such a slow and painful death. I can imagine how much pain they are having, and it really isn’t good to know. I wish that china wouldn’t do this to all their animals.
I think that the way those animals are treated for fur is unacceptable. I hope that the people who have to slaughter these poor animals for fur will have a change of heart or won’t suffer as much as they are killing for a living. I hope these poor creatures will not need to suffer in their future lifetimes as they have had a lot of suffering in this lifetime. If people stop buying fur, the chains of karma that are going to be so heavy on the slaughterers and the suffering towards animals can be averted. Since 1981, PETA has helped A LOT in reducing cruelty to animals. They have been showing effort by stopping massive massacres of animals worldwide.
Those who carried out these these acts and do not heed the true happening of the law of cause and effect, though we have the compassion of trying to save them by giving them the “message”are like what the scripture had said, ‘we are like throwing pearls to the swine’. As our guru has highlighted, since 1981, PETA, as well as other animal rights alliances groups hve done so much in reducing such heartless tortures, cannibalisms and flesh multilations of animals in the Fur industries and other animal farms, even capturing such scary acts with films and video footages, shown that this is happening even in civilised, developed, religious and well-respected countries. Yet such trade and industries are allowed to carry on as usual till today, maybe perhaps onwards to till kingdom come. Animals are living beings, just like you, I or the people who have done these acts. What would happen if these animals did the same acts on us Human beings! I leave to your thoughts with deep civilised meditation and thank you.
if we have compassion then send all your prayers to the ones
who are committed to carrying out these acts
and save one for the ones who lost
