Nabbed!
Dear friends,
I came across this on FB just now and thought I would share the good news. I don’t know anything much about this group, but I am glad they help dogs.
Tsem Rinpoche
Dog Smugglers Nabbed!
Following up on yesterday’s (23-03) arrest of dog smugglers while attempting to cross the Mekong River: The 244 dogs rescued have been taken to the Nakhon Phanom shelter south of where the arrest occurred. Sailors of the Royal Thai Navy can be seen bringing the dogs back up the slipways which the smugglers had used to take the dogs down the river bank to their boats.
While it is wonderful that the 244 dogs have been saved caring for these dogs places even more burden on the shelters where they are housed! Please join the Magic 1000 club today (http://www.soidog.org/en/magic-1000/) to help care for these dogs. Only with your support can the important work continue of bringing the illegal dog meat trade to an end!
Your donation of $30 each month (only $1/day) or whatever you can afford will feed four dogs who would otherwise go hungry. Please become one of the Magic 1000 today at: http://www.soidog.org/en/magic-1000/

It is such as great job to rescue 244 dogs which will be kill very soon. It’s so happy to see the dog be safe and take a good care by someone so kind. Thank you so much.
Dear Rinpoche, I wish anything that has to do with hurting animals would be counted as against the laws, more forest reserves will be build and most importantly everyone in this world will cooperate with this idea. The problem is, not many people would agree with what I just said. I don’t understand why would someone feel happy about killing animals. Why can’t this kind of activities be stopped?
Great! Thanks to the Thai army who have saved hundreds of lives from the hands of the smugglers. These doggies belonged to their own happy families before they were stolen, may the dogs find a good home after the incident.
Luckily the dogs were found and saved from the hands of the smugglers, it’s good to know that the government/ people do care. If these hundreds of lives weren’t saved, they will end up in some peoples’ stomachs, and before that they would have to go through a very horrible and miserable process. No matter what kind of animals, which species, we still do not have the right to harm them or take away their lives.
In every corner of the world, there are many groups who go out to the street to save lives, they are not here to gain fame or wanted anything, they just want to save lives, they have such a kind and beautiful heart which couldn’t bear to see animals suffering.
Thank you guys for showing such good example to many young people out there, I’m sure your effort will not be in waste..
It feels wonderful every time we do or see an act of compassion.
Probably the best medicine ever for the mind and for the body too I am sure.
yay, the doggies are saved! but there are many more horrible people that do this in the world and that makes me sick, please help to stop animal abuse, slaughter, smuggling etc. it is for the better of the lives in the world. how would you like to be treated like the animals that are being killed every day? please be vegetarian and help animal rights.
May more people grow love towards animals.
Also, Thank you for sharing with all of us this wonderful news.
These people are so kind to animals. I wish that all people would be like this to dogs 🙂 That would make me so happy. And 244 dogs!! Thats a lot of dogs. I wished that i could eventually do things like this in the future. I love dogs, and i wanna save them from all kinds of sufferings. I really respect these people so much, i love what they do and how much they care and give an effort into saving all these dogs. So nice of them.
Thanks to the Thai royal custom police, these dogs’ smugglers were napped up, and the dogs’ lives were saved! These dogs were being transported by boat to Nakhon Phanom to be delivered to the Magic 1,000 Club. Of course what goes on behind the walls of this entertaining club, no one knows. If we knewreally what goes on, we would want no part of it! Anyway, a lot of discoveries in Rinpoche’s blogs have been endlessly disclosed about the animals’ cruelties that go on behind those walls. The description of those atrocities and sufferings inflicted on these animals which would end up on your platter will make anyone wishes to adopt a “vegan” eating lifestyle….when you think about the cruelties to the animals, this is a clean, pure and healthy lifestyle for everyone to think about.
Wonderful news that these dogs were saved from turning into meat trade. So glad to know about this wonderful news.
Dear Rinpoche,
Hooray to the Royal Thai Navy for saving 244 lives of innocent dogs!!!
It is wonderful how all armies and Navy teams are only related to bloodshed, protecting their respective countries and killing I am very surprised that the Royal Thai Navy has stepped out to nab the dog smugglers and rescue 244 dogs.
Though it may seem only that the Royal Thai Navy had saved the dogs from being smuggled to Buddha knows where in the world … but In my point of view not only did the Royal Thai Navy save the dogs from being smuggled but they also saved 244 dogs from being slaughtered and being cooked and eaten.
Once again Kudos to The Royal Thai Navy for saving 244 dogs from both being smuggled to somewhere but also saving the from being someones meal.
Also, Thank you Rinpoche for sharing with all of us this wonderful news.
Please Rest Well Rinpoche.
Love
Jutika
Thank you to caring people who really do their work many dogs are spared from the fate or being hurt and eaten. Thank you Thai Navy.
Great job sailors! All these smugglers are just too much. All for the sake of making money but the poor animals suffer! So many types of animals are being smuggled and killed just for their meat.
Oh my Buddha! I saw the pics that they posted on how they are helping the dogs and they are really doing a GREAT job helping, taking care and healing them with love! http://www.soidog.org/en/why-we-do-it/ Those dogs were in real bad shapes, real sad to see how those dogs are abused. I am glad they are well and healthy now.
WOW! that is quite a few lives saved however as rightfully brought up, the placement and care of these saved dogs now become a very real problem. If we can we should surely try to help this group. After all it is a mere meal in a restaurant we are giving up… not even sometimes!
I am happy to hear of the news but this is just the tip of the iceberg eh!
Glad to know that 244 dogs had been saved by Royal Thai Navy ,thank you for them. Hopefully those peoples stop eat dog meat or other animals and support to stop the activities of smuggling and trading animals. Love much animals .
Great news! 244 dogs saved from ending up in the cooking pot! Kudos to the Royal Thai Navy for nabbing the smugglers!
It’s a good news that 244 dogs were saved by Royal Thai Navy! We too can do our part to feed the strays at roadside and cultivate more compassion within ourselves.
So glad to know about this wonderful news! 244 dogs are saved now, it’s a very big number. May the doggies be treated well in the shelter, they deserve to be treated well. Never ever put someone’s life in danger, even though they are animals. Cause they are still living beings.
Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.
Love, beatrix.
Well done to the Royal Thai Navy…nice to know that in a job often associated with war and killing, they are so obviously helping to save lives too!
Good job Royal Thai Navy for stopping these smugglers, otherwise 244 dogs would have lost their lives at the hands of these irresponsible people. Smuggling is very rampant becauase it must be one of the most lucrative ¨trade¨ in the world. Never a day goes by where news are circulated about smuggling of animals or torture being meted out to the poor creatures.
Animal tortures and abuses are everywhere, in both developed and developing countries. I come across many such negative pictures today and am happy that there a positive one has happened.
May more people grow love towards animals and may the negative incidences towards animals be reduced.
Good job Royal Thai Navy! Thank you for rescuing 244 doggies! That is 244 lives right there. I could only wish that Malaysians would be just as compassionate. But fret not, as Rinpoche is here to inspire us and setting a wonderful example to motivate us.
Truly inspirational and heart warming! I hope to read more stories like this. =)
Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche!
Wonderful news that these dogs were saved from turning into meat trade. These activities of smuggling and trading dog meats is becoming more rampant.
Let us help share this news and help create awareness to help their fundraising for Magic 1000 club!
Rejoice! 244 dogs are saved now.Hopefully this news can stop those dog smugglers to do the same things again.
