Number 18 Rescue
My student and one of the liaisons Susan Lim came to know about Uncle Lim and the 18 puppies via Datin Jennifer Khoo. Uncle Lim (in Petaling Jaya SS2 area) and his neighbour’s maid set up the temporary shelter and have been taking care of puppies and mother.
Their concern is too many people coming by as the other neighbours are now giving problems. One of the neighbour lodged report this morning and the authority took the puppies away to be put down. Fortunately Susan has gotten a friend to help in time and all the puppies have been rescued back. Thank you Susan!
Food is not a worry as they have plenty and also they cook for mummy dog.
Their need is for people to help adopt the puppies. Also right now we don’t know if they are injured as they were cruelly thrown into the dog pound authority’s truck earlier.
The latest good news I got is that Martin Chow has kindly gathered a few people to help the 18 puppies and the two mummy dogs, and there is a high chance that they will be going to the vet and temporary home tomorrow! Thank you Martin!

Dear Rinpoche,
aww what a cute litter of pups…. they are just so adorable!!!
I am very glad that the very kind Mr Lim has very well made a temporarily shelter for the dogs which not only would give them a safe and private place for the 2 mommy dogs to feed their pups but also a nice and comfy home for them to have a good night’s rest.
I really hope that these pups and their mummies are having a good home and a good master to take care of them.
Thank you so much to all the people who have helped!
Thank you Rinpoche for sharin!
Love
Jutika
Aww, the puppies look so cute. I am so glad they they got saved, more people should save animals. I have always wished that i could go out one day in a van and go around town saving animals and dogs. That would make me happy to know that i am doing good for animals. So me reading this makes me happy. Thank you for sharing this Rinpoche.
It is heart-warming to see these pictures. BIG THANK YOU to all who were involved in this event – Uncle Lim, his neighbour’s maid, Datin Jennifer, Susan and Martin. Without your real actions, these doggies will most likely end up in terrible state.
The mummy dogs look very at rest. They were very lucky to have met kind people.
May all doggies have been adopted and are living happy lives.
Martin really has a heart of gold. You have showed me what compassion is and not only limits to humans, it extends to all beings. Your tireless effort in rescuing the mommies and pups to the vet and now housing the doggies temporarily deserves a huge appreciation. And it is not easy to care for so many at once. Thank you Martin,
When I look into the eyes of the mommy dogs. I can see the eyes of an animal being very strained by looking after their puppies and feeding them until she looked as though she is lack of nutrients. She looks like she has been drained up of the milk that had been sucked up by her puppies. Imagine and put yourself in the place of the mommy dog. So much responsibilities when you are a mother. Be it an animal or a human. I think animals suffer more because they cannot speak and its a drawback. These 18 puppies and their mommies are luckier than other stray dogs, Thanks to uncle Lim, Martin and some Kechara members, who took care of them temporarily before adoption and home can be found for them.

good job Martin and his team!
If only mummy dogs and puppies could talk, they will say ” Thank you, Martin, for your kind heart and for helping us”.
Martin and has his team has recently been rescuing many abandoned dogs and puppies and made their lives are more comfortable.Through this effort may they create the cause for Kechara Animal Santuary to manifest soon.
Rinpoche, what a lovely story of kindness that started with two people and now through your blog spreads across the world. Kindness is so powerful, so many hearts touched by this beautiful momma dog and her babies. Eighteen is a LOT of babies! What a sweet momma she is. Whoever gets to adopt her and her babies will be getting very special animal friends to share their lives with.

We will certainly do our best Rinpoche. Thank you for opening my eyes to the effort we must make to alleviate others’ sufferings.
Thankfully,we have lovely, warm and compassionate people who came to the rescue of this mummy dog and her 18 babies.Otherwise they would have ended up in the pound and then horrendously put down. First there were Mr Lim and a neighbour’s maid. Then Datin Jennifer alerted Kecharians. Then Rinpoche urged and galvanized Susan and Martin into action. Kudos to everyone involved. Precious lives have been saved.
