Please watch this if you are my friend
Dear friends,
Some short videos do not need a lot of explanation. This is one of them.
This video and the people involved touched me to the core. People who go out of their way to make life better for another living being are the greatest minds to walk the earth. People who care and do their best to make a difference are people who are really using their human potential for something with meaning. People who actually do something.
Please watch this video and share with others. Why share? Because you care enough to create awareness which will lead to understanding and eradication of these types of unnecessary sufferings. It’s the least you and I can do is to create awareness.
Have compassion. Practice in life what you admire in conversation-compassion.

Happy to see that those kind people traveled across the world to bring awareness of dog meat trade and to make life better for another living being.Dogs are man’s best friend, give them love.
Thank you for the people showing their compassion and rescued the dog. Hopefully this video create more awareness to let people know animals are sufferings because of the people satisfaction.Once again thank you for sharing this article.
Human being is such a type of unwanted being on Earth.
We’re the ones who create ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION
We’re the ones who create EXTINCTION OF ANIMALS
We’re the ones who create “NATURAL” DISASTERS
We’re the ones who create WARS, HARMS & SUFFERING TO OTHERS & OURSELVES
For the sake to fulfill our DESIRES, we could not bother others’ well being & will do WHATEVER to destroy objects that are stooping us from reaching our goals.
G and his group of friends are very brave and compassion towards animals. They go all the way to rescue the dog and took the video in order to share it to others and importantly to create the awareness of not killing animals. Not many would go to this extend to spread the knowledge of animal cruelties happening in this world. Thank you G and team for your great effort. May you get the necessary help always in your rescue mission. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video.
Shocking indeed after watching this short video. Those dogs deserved to live. Vita was so fortunate to meet his master Jose,at the slaughter house. But his friends were not so lucky, they were abused and killed by some selfish people for their meat. The dogs were traumatised and even scared to stand up except one trying to be free. That was Vita dog.
I am glad that those kind people traveled across the glode to bring awareness of dog meat trade and to make life better for another living being.Dogs are man’s best friend.Never hurt animals ,give them love.
Hopefully these dog meat trade can be stopped by the authority in China.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed because of how much cruelty is happening in the world, even as you read this.It is a tragic reality that many dogs are suffering from cruelty and abuse.
This shocking video will get us started by opening our eyes to the signs of cruelty and empowering us to do something to stop it.
Dogs are man’s best friend and it is wrong to hurt one’s best friend.
It is just saddening to see what people go through to just satisfy their desires for the kind of exotic meat. The kind of pain that people induced into the animals, the kind of mental and physical torture that the animals have to endure before they are being put done to be served as a dish on the table. It is just so sad that people are doing all these things just for the so called delicacies that is being placed on the table.
If the demand of these meat would be stopped, then there will no longer be slaughter houses like this. Capturing and torturing the animals in this manner.
The doggie in the video is very lucky to be saved in this manner, but how many of them can we save like this if the demand of dog meat in the dog meat trade is still there? It would be best if the country can put a law down, then it may help to reduce the demand by a little.
Hopefully things like this can be stopped soon and the people would not be doing horrible things like this to the animals.
I felt heart breaking when I watched the video, how can peopl be so cruelty to animals. Imagine if we were be the animal, we definately feel fear and hopeless in that situation. Animals and human should be treated equally.
Thank you for the people showing their compassion and rescued the dog. Hopefully this video and Rinpoche’s blog to create more awareness to let people know animals are sufferings because of the people satisfaction.
Thank you Rinpoche sharing the post.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video to increase our awareness on animal cruelty. One of the ways that we can help is to reduce eating meat and become a vegetarian.
Nearing the end of the video..it is so saddening to see that small puppies are also being abducted to the slaughterhouse!
Vita is lucky and some sort intelligent to be able to sensed that the people there were there to rescue her and not inflict more pain. I guess she is very lucky. It is unfortunate more could not be done, but I believe after the video is viral… many will step up to help.
Thank you Rinpoche, for creating the awareness.
All sentient beings deserve love and not to be harmed. May the Vita story be a beacon of hope for all who are fighting to end cruelty to animals and also adopt a compassionate diet.
The dog that they adopted is so cute!!! She didn’t even try to bite people just like she trust them with her life and she looked so happy when she got out of the dog slaughterhouse. We people doesn’t have the right to slaughter the animals. We do not need meat to survive, we can always get nutrition from plants and vegetables. It is okay for people like Africans to eat meat because they could not harvest anything from their soil. But for us, we have no excuse for eating meat.
Most of the people in China are really cruel and inhumane, I don’t see the necessity of eating dogs. The organization really did a great thing, although they saved only a dog from the slaughterhouse, but it’s still a life, so it matters no matter how. I hope that the ‘tradition’ of consuming dog meat can be stopped soon, I think it’s time for them to at least stop collecting bad karma that will eventually affect their country.
It is so touching to see what this group is doing. Compassion in motion. We will not do this to our fellow humans right? So why are animals any different. Hey let’s be honest some humans do so much bad like the slaughterers ,they should be caged and beaten and treated like the dogs! See how they feel?
There are so many animal cruelty cases happening in the world. China is not the only one country who involves in it. The increasing desire and greed in human has brought endless sufferings to the animal. We are also animals, the modern world often forget this fact. What makes human species different is that we are highly developed than the rest of the animal species. The by products of such development has also brought along the inhumanity that makes us slowly turning towards the direction of killing our own selves.
To show that we’re developed does not mean to fled animality. We are animals and animals are us. Look carefully at Vita’s eyes, did u see her mourning for her friends who are still in the slaughter house?
Vita is so adorable! The people did not only just save Vita, but also the other 7 little pups in her stomach. The minute when she was brought out of the slaughterhouse, she seemed to be very excited. She also seemed to know that they have come to save her and she accepted their help. May the 7 little angels come out smoothly and may Vita have a safe delivery.
China governments should really put things in action, why is it so hard to admit/recognise that consuming dog meat is against the law? Isn’t it very ironic that some of them love dogs so much that they are wiling to give up their time or even lives to save them, and on the other hand, some of them will just kill anything for money?
The scene of the man welding the rods behind the bars put a shock in my heart. I just briefly goes through the rest of the video and I know that the ending part is a bit of romanticize the whole story. I know some of you might disagree with this view but I guess the main purpose is to arouse to be more compassionate to living beings around us as none of us wish to be harmed and want to be loved and to be cared for. In order for us to experience that we need to avoid harming others and at the same time to be kind to them.
Dharma teaches us to bring to mindfulness and compassion to what we see and feel in our hearts and minds. Animals are actually very intelligent living beings. They think, feel pains and can suffer. The differences between them and us are actually not so great. People who have interact with animals; from dogs, cats to cows, know that they too are like us, and communicate their feelings! Its time for us to broaden our circle of compassion to elimunate their unnecessary suffering of ending up on our dinner plates, by adopting a vegetable lifestyle! It would make us feel more caring, loving and happier to be alive, both for ourselves and them!!! Like the Dalai Lama said, “I believe that at every level of society, the key to a happier and more successful world is the growth of Compassion. All that is necessary is for each of us to develop our good human qualities”. Om mani padme hung.
It’s people like Jose Valle who by going all out to rescue the dogs like Vita, who were about to be most horrendously slaughtered, who make a most positive impact and a significant difference to a world of senseless abuse and torture of animals. Over a few years, Jose and his friends rescued 500 dogs and transported them all the way back to Spain to be adopted and given into the care of kind people who love animals.
So being caring is not about saying you feel so much for these animals and cannot bear to see their suffering.Caring must translate into some positive action- adopt an animal for a pet from a shelter. Rescue animals. Actively support a cause. We must do something and go out of our way to help prevent such vile cruelty and abuse.
It does not need a million dollars or walking million steps to save a life. The people who save the dog in slaughter house and keeping the dog are just ordinary people like us. At the same time they are more than ordinary because they step out and help, they answer to the urge/call deep inside.
If we can’t go to slaughter house to save a life, then we stop eating animals, and share the message of not harming animals through social media. Thank you.
This video is so sad, i hate how people are so selfish. They have rights too. Sometimes how i think of people is that the only thing amazing about them is their extreme ignorance.
I feel so so sad after watching and knowing about this cruel trades. I really hope all these will stop and We have to spread this awareness to protect this beautiful friends.
Om Mani Padme Hum!
Dear Rinpoche, I’m happy that Vita got rescued and adopted by someone. But I don’t understand why didn’t they rescue more dogs? I wish that more people will start to adopt pets from the penthouse instead of buying new puppies from the pet shops. And if everyone learn to understand animals feelings then they can eventually become vegetarians and hopefully will promote vegetarianism too.
Dear Edward, I am sad too that only Vita was rescued. Like you and I am sure everyone who was watching the video wished the same too. Reality is as much as we wish and pray to rescue all abandoned animals, there is just not enough resources to do so. The numbers multiply faster than any animal shelters can take them in. That is why your thoughts about more people should adopt abandoned pets instead of buying new puppies from the pet shops is good. Education about pet responsibility is also very important so that animals are treated as another being instead of like a toy to be discarded when old.
It brought tears to my eyes when i saw these cute puppies and dogs being transported in cages to the slaughter house. They have feelings and they also deserve to live. How lucky that one dog is being rescued by one kind gentleman who gave him food and shelter. May this video can create the awareness of cruelty to animals and more people will come out to help these poor animals. Stop killing and hurting animals be compassionate!
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video with us is so heart broken to watch vey sad to look at all these animals who suffer tremendously , we human absolutely have no right to hurt them may we pray to create the cause to help these animal.
