Be aware what doing now will be bring result to our next life. What every habitual we have cause us self cherishing must transform immediately.Just like the dog playing the piano.
I could not find other reason for this, beside a strong imprint from previous life.
There is nothing guarantee that in next life we will born as a human again and won’t born as a dog with good condition like this. Its only depend on our actions of today.Thank you very much for beautiful message.
I have one chair I usually sit on to do my sadhana, watch a program, read, write, research and so on. But many times I return from my bathroom, Oser girl has taken over my chair. She gives me this look like, it’s her chair! She’s a spunky little schnauzer. The room has so much space, other sofas and places of interest, but my Oser has to hijack my chair always. I have to gently move her over and squeeze in next to her like I did last night into the same chair. We sat together for hours and she fell asleep in my chair huddled against me. Love is sharing a chair even though it’s meant for one occupant at a time. ? Tsem Rinpoche
It is incredible how smart Oser girl is. She can steal the treat away from Dharma boy and so casually. Wow. She is so smart. A must watch short video!! Tsem Rinpoche
Mumu boy was Tsem Rinpoche’s little Schnauzer. Partly because of Mumu Kechara was started and you must find out why that is. Do read more and see very cute adorable pictures: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/?p=122472
Tsem Rinpoche’s two adorable cute Schnauzer dogs Oser girl (white) and Dharma boy up to their various antics. Short videos that will warm up your day and give you a ‘cute attack!’ Enjoy!
Extremely cute….cannot imagine how is like watching it real .Surpresed and happy, that doggie previous life must be a pianist as she enjoyed singing and playing the plano. The doggie is so cute.
This is definitely a strong imprint from previous life .
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing
Wow, proof of previous lives is becoming more and more accessible. It has always existed but many were too afraid to expose it, express it or communicate it. Today, as we become a society of the information age, we have the channel to share this knowledge. Now is to harness the courage to live life by this principal so that we create results that we are proud of from one life to the next.
A great book to read is Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss
Dear Rinpoche, I think this pooch’s past life might be Mozart or someone very good in piano and singing. HEHE! He look loves music very much. This pooch must been doing this for quite a few times and this time the owner caught it on camera.
This is very cute and exciting to see dog playing piano and sing like a STAR 🙂 I’m believe this is strong imprint from previous life . Thank you Rinpoche for sharing 🙂
He sure looks like playing the piano and singing. His paws looks like taping on the piano keys and not just stepping on them. And the howling is like singing along with the tune. Yeah, strong imprints from previous life. Possibly a musician.
This dog is like the Stevie Wonder of the dogs, the Wolfgang of the wolfs, the Bach of the Bark. There must have been some previous life imprints, or someone left the dog on the table and he got excited by the sounds. Nevertheless, extremely cute!
This mumu is so cute. Maybe in his past life, he was Bach or Elvis. LOL! Very cute indeed. Hope this dog has a happy life and maybe it’s next life, it can fulfill it’s wish of being a performer 😛
I think i remember watching this video on Youtube before. So cute! I wonder what or who this dog was in its past life. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche. I enjoyed watching this dog sing.
Animals also have past lives as do humans. Remembering their past lives is believed to be the same conscious way for them as it is for humans as said in some books. There can in some cases be spontaneous remembrances in their new rebirth. As said in some articles, similar descriptions are said to be in the same pattern of behaviours to what are been shown in the blog, i.e. firstly, looking up the ceiling or wall, with sudden zipping of eyes and head tilting back and darting to begin its howling, wailing and barking noises to the accompaniment of music as what this adorable pooch has done so beautifully. It cerntainly is a strong previous life imprint!!
This is the first time seeing a dog playing a piano and woofing. It is a pity as an animal, the doggy cannot change and learn as well as a human being. The human being is the best form of learning and opening up the mind to learning and growing spiritually.
This is so cute and funny…
It is incredible and adorable Pooch, that can playing piano and just like singing there…. I very enjoy this video..
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing to us.
Very clear that we should not eat meat and animal. Animals are same like us who does not want suffering. Since we do not want it, why create suffering to them and others?
If music and art can be a imprint for next life, then all the prayers and Dharma talk we attended and books that we read will definitely store in our mind stream and be brought to our future life.
This is the clear example of karma is existing. Not matter what form
we born, previous life karmic imprinted still follow our consciousness to one life to another life.
Be aware what doing now will be bring result to our next life. What every habitual we have cause us self cherishing must transform immediately.Just like the dog playing the piano, negative karma cause to reborn as the animal. wasting another chance at this life to practice become better.
This is a very interesting dog, it might be some connection from previous life as a musician or it was trained to do it.
It reminds me of my dog that always howl when the truck that collect old news paper played on the loud speaker.
Hahaha….cute! It has to be the strong imprint from previous life whom may be an aspirant singer then. Look at how he pounced on the piano and howled along on every note.
Hahaha…Cute! It has to be strong imprint from previous life for he or she could be an aspirant singer who has ‘gone wrong somewhere’ and ended up as a dog…howling on every pounced note! Hmmm…
Everyone has imprints of previous life, whether you are human or animal, it is the same. from this video, it clearly shows that this dog has a very strong imprints from its previous life, is he a human before? And if reincarnation does exist, where will we be in our next life?
This is very cute.. i could not find other reason for this, beside a strong imprint from previous life..
The way she plays a piano, the movement of body and how she sings. She is still fortunate that even born as a dog but has good karma to have nice owner and stay in nice environment..
There is nothing guarantee that in next life we will born as a human again and won’t born as a dog with good condition like this. Its only depend on our actions of today to accumulate merit and have more good karma than bad karma..
Adorable mumu indeed! Interesting how if a dog plays piano like this everyone is so happy to watch and hear, wonder if it was a human playing and singing like this, would there be an appreciative audience? Heheh
Im sure most of us have come across pets who have very “human” behaviours and character, while other pets behave just like what they are, animals. Is the difference due to training and conditioning, or is it the shadow they brought along from their past lives?
This dog must be a singer in it’s previous life and that is why it likes to sing and play the piano. But in this life, it is kinda out of tune. Hehe. CUTE!
Definitely previous life imprint does exist!
This mumu is very talented. He even lifted up his head to reach the high notes. It must be his strong imprints from previous life when he once was a singer or pianist. What did he do wrong to take rebirth as an animal?
May we create the cause to collect enough merits to be born a human in a conducive environment and be able to receive the dharma.
Hi here is little Pudsey’s last routine for the Talent contest and he and Ashleigh won, beating some stiff competition. I think the UK must have fell in love with him! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGt_6foIZDU
Wow, this dog is incredible. Howling and playing the piano at the same time. It is so cute and funny. i enjoy watching this video.. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.
This cute dog knew what he wanted to do – climbed up to the piano, pawing to play some notes and sing along with its head held up high, like a human singer would do. This video is a reminder to one of the teachings in Lamrim – the animal realm and if we do not practice the dharma that way according to the methods – human may gain rebirth into this realm .. interesting – food for thought
This cute dog is telling us “I am a great pianist at my past life”. Just for you thought, why some people can do something very naturally or learn it very fast, I always think it has to deal with imprint, what do you think?
Wow, this dog is so talent. This is an example for imprints that the memory of past life will bring forward to this life. As the reincarnation of high Lamas, they are already proven that previous life imprints will bring forward to this life also. So every single effort we do in Dharma will not wasted and we should always learn more, do more to benefit more…
I felt sad after watching this video. This dog might be a human once but some how downfall to become a dog. As a dog its have limitation to even enjoy or listen or play the musical instrument he likes. The “singing” sound to me is like a sad song to me.
I remember in Lamrim, one of the sentences sound like this ” the different between you and an animal is you are still breathing” Its sound really really scary to me. May this life, which i can practice Dharma before too late.
So cute! Definitely strong imprint… Howling and playing the piano at the same time is truly my 1st encounter. Wonder if he/she was a famous singer before!
Hehehe^_^ This little pooch realy cute, funny and very enjoy in his own music…i believe imprint, everyone having their own telented must be come from their previous life.wish this little pooch can have human body, can meet dharma in his future life!!
We can see that the pooch are so enjoy of playing the piano. While pressing a piano key, the pooch also come out his own voice, like a musician playing a piano and song. What a wonderful memory. Recall from my memory, from age about 6 to 8 , there are so many bad dreams every night and I will wake up and no stop crying due to this and don’t understand why?
haha…the poodle is so very adorable. Strong previous life imprints must have made him howl and play the piano so professionally or perhaps, he must have copied his master’s way of playing the piano? Hehehe…
Oh my Goodness so cute! You see a video like this and many would say, “Wah so talented!” and then it is left like that. But there is so much evidence here of previous life and the imprints we have, even animals, that we bring into this life. Ever since understanding karma and imprints, I no longer accept that things in life is just a mere “coincidence”. It is much deeper…
Hehe cute! I’m sure if this doggy had a longer tail, you would see it being constantly wagged! The way the doggie throws his/her chin up into the air to howl reminds me of singers on stage who are just about to hit ‘that’ note, and they throw chin up to the air to nail it. 🙂
Agree with strong past live imprints.. otherwise, if it wasn’t then you would see this behaviour in most other dogs that you come across. Why is this only one of the few examples of doggies who would be near interested to play the piano and howl?
This is so cute. The dog is playing the piano and singing! Incredible! I totally believe that it must be a previous life imprint. Otherwise, how do u explain this extraordinary phenomena?
That is sooo cute ! Maybe the mumu was asked by his mommy to practise his piano and he was protesting , a quick banging at the piano , lots of grumbling and screaming and then ‘ ok i’ve finished and now i’m off to play !’ :-):-):-):-):-)
Very cute pooch…when she sings and playing piano, definately previous lives and imprints is assisting.
With the above video, no doubt is short but is meaningful. It makes me think one step further…what Rinpoche use to remind all of us, this life we are so fortunate to be born as a human being with beautiful body. If we don’t make use of the body, speech and mind to learn Dharma and benefit others, how to create another course for next and next life to be born again in this condition??
With above pooch is one of the good example, born as animal body how much can I do and contribute?
It’s another wake up massage for me…to let go of my selfishness and comfort zone, time is short now….
🙂 It is very cute and sweet. When I was little, my mum had to force me to practice the piano… and this cutie pie seemed to love the black & white keys more than me! hahaha…
Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche. It teaches me to never judge a book by its cover, when at times I too quickly jump to conclusions. _/\_
Awww, adorable mumu….Yes, like Rinpoche said, it’s talents and liking for music must be from a previous life. Also, Rinpoche had said previously, a child prodigy’s talents for music, academics, etc were brought forth from previous life to the present. How else to explain such a phenomenon especially if the child’s parents were not musicians, academicians, etc?
OMG, This dog really amazing even though it’s sound is not nice. I think if it not howling so loud may be more nicer. haha…It look like very natural, I think this can be from previous life memory.
Really cute. He alternates between thumping on the piano and howling in perfect timing. It has to be a powerful previous life’s imprint for him to be able to perform like this.
Wow..he is really cute and this is really a cute attack. Like Rinpoche mentioned, I guess he really has a strong imprint in previous life. But i hope he can have good rebirth so that he can enjoy playing and singing like human..and share with others his talent. Rinpoche, thank you for sharing this clip. Take care 🙂
hahahaha, very cute. Highly possible of her previous life imprint on piano.
She is cute but I felt very sorry for her because she can’t have the proper enjoyment and operate the piano perfectly as a human being. It is just like learning Dharma, we must fully utilize and take advantage of our rebirth in a human form that come with proper body, speech and mind to learn, practice and share Dharma before too late… For instance, although I can have perfect imprint of Buddhism but if I reborn as a cat, what I can do to flourish the imprint? I can only miao.. miao… everyday but I can’t even chant simple mantra.
This video really cheer me up with the cute attack but also is a good reminder for me to be 100% consistent in learning and practicing Dharma every single second in my life.

Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche.
Take good care.
With love,
VP
in our family we are having a ragingly funny and barking debate about
rebirth and genetic carry over , we are sitting on the fence
or the ivories on this one but our family chooses
genetical memory rather than
kharmic rebirth and this
stepping stone maybe
too big for us to
Dear Hibberd
Well, my “bark” may be the softest due to distance but nevertheless, here’s my woof woof for your family to consider.
If this comes from genetics itself, then every little pup in the litter would display the same disposition. If it’s the truth, then this theory can be observed in the human realm that siblings from the same parents would behave or possesses similar talents or habits. Seldom do we see this happening. Thus, genetics records certain biological traits but not beyond that.
In Buddhism, the explanation offered to us is the existence of the mind (which is not the brain – a mass of cells and complex neurons etc) It is this mind that cannot be destroyed and is perhaps something we need to consider which is carried from one life time to the next.
OMB! Too cute!!! hehe! I don’t think I can even sing and play half as good as this lil cutie. hehe! I must’ve been an animal in my past life because my imprints are: eat, sleep, and poop. Gotta change, pronto!!
Thank you, Rinpoche!
I say: “barking” to enlightenment?
Very cute video indeed, maybe a diva that was mean and unethical, but generous however and helping fellow young talents to succeed in a singing career? How else to get the throwing karma to come back as an animal and the ripening karma to be pampered and even have access to a piano… Just guessing…
Karma is powerful, we make it so. It’s a bit like a fast car of which we have the control but that we still must learn to drive even though we think we know already.
I had a Great Dane few years ago. He used to howl every evening when he heard the prayers from the nearby mosque. Perhaps the prayers struck something deep in him ???

Losar is the Tibetan New Year, a festival that marks the beginning of the year on the Tibetan calendar. It is celebrated among the Tibetan community all over the world recently. Losar marks the beginning of the Tibetan calendar year a time for family gatherings, religious ceremonies, and feasting because of its long history and rich cultural traditions. The celebrations will last for 15 days whereby the first three days being the most important day for them and widely celebrated festival on the Tibetan calendar. During theTibetan New Year, Panglung Oracles are known to enter a trance state, of the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. This practice is considered a significant part of the Losar celebrations within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, providing guidance and blessings to those seeking their wisdom. People often consult the Panglung oracles to receive predictions, advice, and blessings for the coming year. Dorje Shugden will also give teachings while in trance of an oracle.
Reading this old blog again where back in 2022, the Great Protector Dorje Shugden gave an inportant message to everyone of us. We should take it seriously practising good virtues, such as prostrating ,making offerings and practise the holy Dharma. Everyone should always be kind-hearted and doing our best to cultivate loving-kindness, compassion and bodhicitta.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this precious advices.
Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Sikkim, India that is part of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It is one of the oldest and most famous monasteries in Sikkim. It is home to Dorje Shugden, a spirit in Tibetan tradition. The monastery is one of the oldest and most famous in Sikkim. Pemayangtse Monastery in Sikkim, founded by Lhatsun Namkha Jigme of the Nyingma tradition. One of the earliest modern academic references to Dorje Shugden. Stunning sculptures, paintings and ancient scrolls can be found in the Monastery. Interesting story behind this monastery,as described by Lieutenant Colonel Laurence Austine Waddell a British explorer, collector and author. Through the years of travelling in India, Sikkim and areas on the borders of Nepal and Tibet, after doing research on Tibetan Buddhist religious practices he made a stunning discovery. He discovered that Dorje Shugden existence in the Nyingma monastery as written in his book, which confirmed that Dorje Shugden been worshipped in the Nyingma as well . Not only worshipped in the Gelug lineage but held prominence in the Nyingma tradition too. Interesting read.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great sharing.
Inspiring read, revisit again to refresh about an important lama. Venerable Geshe Thupten a Tibetan great scholars and master who founded Tibetan schools in exile. He who had upheld the lineage of Lord Buddha’s liberating teachings and his practice of Dorje Shugden. Even though in exile Geshe Thupten Lama worked tirelessly for the Tibetan government yet just because he did expressed his views openly, and bravely regarding banning the practice of Dorje Shugden. After serving the Tibetan government for so many years, Geshe Thupten Lama is threatened and branded a Chinese spy. He left to the USA and wrote The Supreme Path to the Trikaya where he commented detailed explanations on the practice of the Six Paramitas or the Six Perfections, and other beneficial Dharma treasures.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great sharing.
Historically, the Panchen Lama was second only to the Dalai Lama in spiritual authority within the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
The 10th Panchen Lama, believed to be an emanation of Amitabha himself. The 10th Panchen Lama saw auspicious signs after completing the prayer text or Sungbum to Dorje Shugden. He had strong feelings that Dorje Shugden has been working hard to protect the Buddha Dharma in general and especially the lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa . Like thousands of other great beings, the Panchen Lama had relied on Dorje Shugden, been practiced in his monastery, Tashi Lhunpo until his end. Hundreds thousands of people would his attend public discourses each time.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this precious texts with us. May everyone be blessed by this powerful composition by H H Panchen Lama propitiating the compassionate Dorje Shugden.
Tales of supernatural creatures like Bigfoot, aliens, trolls, little people are always my reading interest. Came across this old blog about Dark Watchers so interesting.
The Dark Watchers known by early Spanish settlers as Los Vigilantes Oscuros. Is a name given to a group of entities in California folklore purportedly seen observing travellers along the Santa Lucia Mountains. The earliest written accounts of the Dark Watchers date back to the 1700s, when Spanish colonists called them los vigilantes oscuros. According to Chumash folklore, the Dark Watchers are shadowy figures that stand atop the lofty heights, silently observing the land below. The Dark Watchers are mysterious, tall, shadowy figures that have been reported in California for centuries. They are often described as wearing cloaks and hats, and are said to appear around twilight. Whatever scary it looks we have Dorje Shugden to protect us. Even though there are spirits every where seen or not seen by our naked eyes we should leave them un disturb as it is. I do believe its existence every where day and night.
Thank you Rinpoche sharing this with us.
Revisit this blog again and again as its such an interesting blog with awesome stories to share. All about a great Gelugpa lama . Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was a scholar, an abbot, a Dharma teachers and he was also a healer. He was an important Gelugpa lama and a contemporary of the 5th Dalai Lama. Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen was the erudite high lama who arose as the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden, regarded as an emanation of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri. During the era of the Great Fifth Dalai Lama, Dorje Shugden took rebirth in the form of a very special incarnate lama. Just imagine at the age of 2 or 3, he was already speaking and playing with ritual instruments and having clear visions of meditational deities and enlightened beings. Apparently, he had also received many direct visions of deities and exalted Gurus from a very young age. Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen and the 5th Dalai Lama shared a very respectful and close relationship. As results there’s jealousy among officers of 5th Dalai Lama resulting in the murder of Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen. As an apology to Dorje Shugden for the murder the 5th Dalai Lama crafted a statue and even composed an apologetic prayer. He also built a chapel Trode Khangsar dedicated to recognize Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen as a Dharma protector,Dorje Shugden in Lhasa.
I have the opportunity to visit this Scared Trode Khangsar years back . Reading this blog always remind me of my trip.
Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting sharing. May more people able to visit this Trode Khangsar.
Buddhism is one of the recognized religions in Indonesia, with a long history in the country. The largest Buddhist temple in the world, Borobudur, is located in Central Java. Buddhism arrived in Indonesia in the sixth century. The history of Buddhism in Indonesia is closely related to the history of Hinduism. The Indonesian archipelago has, over the centuries, witnessed the rise and fall of powerful Buddhist empires. A number of Buddhist sites and artifacts related to Indonesia’s historical heritage can be found in Indonesia. As such the 8th century Borobudur mandala monument and Sewu temple in Central Java and numerous statues or inscriptions from the earlier history of Indonesian Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms. Interesting read. Many Buddhist sites, stupas, temples, and manuscripts were lost or forgotten with since the arrival of Islam. Once a year, thousands of Buddhists from Indonesia and neighboring countries flock to Borobudur to commemorate the national Waisak Day. The Borobudur Temple Compounds is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world, and was built in the 8th and 9th centuries AD. The monument was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991.
Thank you Rinpoche , interesting sharing. Hopefully I could visit this great monument in future
The Lizard Man is a legendary, seven-foot-tall, red-eyed, scaly-skinned reptile that is said to live in the swamps of South Carolina. The legend of the Lizard Man has been around since 1988. The Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp ,also known as the Lizard Man of Lee County is an entity said to inhabit the swampland of the region. A large, green, lizard-like creature emerged from the shadows. Many others have claimed encounters with the legendary Lizard Man. The Lizard Man has been the subject of much publicity in the press, on the radio, television and even in movies. The lizard man myth brings curious travellers from across the globe into town, searching for the prehistoric beast lurking beneath the swamp. Ancient Historical Accounts of Lizard man sound interesting after reading it. I do believe in legends as there’s many unseen beings whereby is not seen by our naked eyes. Many others have claimed encounters with the legendary Lizard Man, leaving a mark on the small, agricultural town.
Thank you Rinpoche and Cindy for this interesting sharing.
Historically Langmu monastery was the center of local religion, culture, economy and politics. Langmu Monastery is one of the most popular wild destinations in Sichuan as it provides excellent travel experience in nomads Tibet. It is a group of monasteries built at the border of Sichuan and Gansu Province. Founded in 1748 AD Constructed in 1748, belongs to Tibetan Buddhism. After years of extension and development, the temple today is composed of ten affiliated temples . It is a destination for strenuous pilgrimages and fascinating . A river, Bailong River, separates the township into two parts, one part in Gansu and another one in Sichuan. Wow Langmu monastery is a place where one can experience both Tibetan Buddhism and Islamic culture. Langmu Monastery is one of the largest to practise Dorje Shugden. That’s wonderful Kechara did sent to Langmu Monastery 600 sets of Dorje Shugden collateral in the Tibetan language. The monastery also ordered from Kechara an entire set of statues of Dorje Shugden.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.
Arjia Rinpoche is one of the most prominent Buddhist teachers and lamas to have left Tibet. He was recognized by 10th Panchen Lama as the 20th Arjia Danpei Gyaltsen, the reincarnation of Je Tsongkhapa’s father. He has trained with lineage teachers, such as the 14th Dalai Lama, the 10th Panchen Lama, and Gyayak Rinpoche. He had received many sacred teachings and ritual instructions from these great lamas. He was forced to leave his monastery and attend a Chinese school, yet secretly continued to practice and study with his tutors during the Cultural Revolution . Arjia Rinpoche went into exile and escaped to the United established a Buddhist Center for Compassion and Wisdom. Throughout his life, Arjia Rinpoche was tutored by specialized teachers in the area of Buddhist philosophy, sutra and tantra teachings, as well as in Buddhist art and architectural design.Since then Rinpoche has been giving teachings throughout the United States, Canada, Taiwan, India and Guatemala.
For the sake of harmony and unity of the Tibetans , Rinpoche has advised the Tibetans to stop discriminating against Dorje Shugden practitioners. Arjia Rinpoche’s message of peaceful is consistent with the spirit of Buddhism and even spirituality in general. The ban against Dorje Shugden was imposed in 1996 and since that time, the has cause sufferings among the Tibetans in exile. No one should be discriminated against due to their religion or spiritual path. Dorje Shugden people, should be allowed choice of religion and be involved in the preservation of the Tibetan culture. It was during the 10th Panchen Lama’s Maha-Parinirvana 30th Anniversary, Arjia Rinpoche spoke bravely on fulfilling the Panchen Lama’s wishes.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.

Buddhism is a religion and philosophy that developed from the doctrines of the Buddha. Is a major religion in the world, originated in India in the 5th century BCE and is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, also known as the Buddha. Buddhists believe that life is a cycle of suffering and rebirth. Having priests and pastors in each centers or place of worships or retreat centers around the world serving and spreading Buddha teachings with more and more people get to know more knowledge of Buddhism. Reading this blog , given me a more understanding of the role of Pastors or known as Priest in some parts of the world. There’s many Buddhist Priest around the world serving others leading services , performing ceremonies and rituals. Many people have benefited, having Pastors or Priests around helping them out with their teaching, and providing spiritual support. That’s awesome. Here at Kechara we too having Pastors making Buddha’s wisdom accessible to more people by giving spiritual guidance and sharing knowledge. In this way, the Dharma is preserved and made available to busy spiritual seekers. Interesting blog knowing some of those wonderful Buddhist priests around the world and many more to come spreading Dharma teachings..
Thank you Rinpoche .
Compassion is always in season. Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things. Animals have moral status, and animal suffering matters. No need to explain more as different people have different view. Let them be and say what they want.
Thank you for this sharing.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing. Living a quiet life, often characterized by simplicity and a deliberate choice. A far away quiet environment can offer numerous benefits for one’s well-being and overall quality of life. Living a calm and simple life yet rich with inner meaning, personal growth, and a deep connection to oneself, one’s values . Those moment of quietness, free from the rush and noise of daily life, allows for self-reflection and a deeper understanding of our actions and their impacts. By taking a softer approach to living, we can focus more on our internal happiness, building our emotional health.
Since learning Dharma and putting into practice have taught me to live simplicity free from the rush and noise of daily life.
The act of liberating animals helps us to develop the nature of not harming others, creating the awareness of not eating animals for the sake of attachment to meat and thus promoting a vegetarian lifestyle. When one releasing lives brings blessings to the whole family, a multitude releasing lives brings divine protection. Among all merits, releasing lives is indeed supreme. Beyond financial generosity , we also practice the generosity of Dharma and the generosity of fearlessness. Releasing lives embodies all three types of giving in one noble act which we should make use of the opportunity to do more. The merits of animals liberation are truly unparalleled.

Dear everyone... This is a good condensed talk I gave on Guru Yoga of Tsongkapa. This is the one you should share with others when they are interested in a not too lengthy explanation. It is the perfect practice for everyone who wants simplicity yet effective blessings. You can share this with more people, it will be good.
"If you say you don't have money to help a animal shelter, why then do you have money to buy meat?"
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Eating animals is not our God-given right, but being kind to them is."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"What makes us good humans is not how we abuse animals, but how much we allow them to live and be happy freely."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"We need another and wiser and perhaps a more mythical concept of animals.... We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complex than ours they moved finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."
~ Henry Beston, The Outermost House
"Not eating animals is only unnatural when we are not used to it."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES
"We may encounter defeat, but we must not be defeated."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"What you are today, is the choice you made yesterday."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"You think you can choose your life? What an ego trip!"
~ Lama Yeshe
"If TODAY you are dissatisfied, you must make the changes to create different results for TOMORROW."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
SPIRITUAL QUOTES
“Meditating on Dorje Shugden while reciting his mantra will open the gateways to higher dimensions, blessings and protection.”
~ Tsem Rinpoche
“If one does the recitation of the Lama Tsongkhapa guru yoga prayer for even one month using one of the visualizations for great or clear or quick wisdom, one will definitely see development of that wisdom. It is proved by experience. There is no doubt that by doing the Lama Tsongkhapa guru yoga practice one can meet Lama Tsongkhapa’s teachings from life to life. And furthermore, it gives one the opportunity to be born in the pure realm of Lama Tsongkhapa, Tushita, whenever death happens.”
~ Pabongkha Rinpoche
"I was 18 years old in 1983. That was a very special year as I met His Holiness Kyabje Zong Rinpoche and received innumerable precious teachings and empowerments from Him at Thubten Dhargye Ling Centre in Los Angeles, California. It was the best time of my life. A time that seems so magical and surreal to me. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche is Heruka Buddha and I met Heruka."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"If being me offends you, maybe I'm not the problem."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Never abandon your spiritual teacher no matter how many inner obstacles you need to overcome."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Actions to force something to be permanent makes all the karmas arise."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"The dharma is not easy to listen to… because some people take it as criticism. But Dharma should not be just feel good only for the moment but for deeper contemplations."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Whether we do work and suffer but for others or we do work and suffer for ourselves, either way we have to suffer. That is the nature of samsara. So let us suffer for others and then suffering has meaning."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Those who really want the dharma to grow within themselves and to grow for others should never fear hard work, timing, difficulties, struggles, disappointments because it is for a good cause. Working for Dharma is not a prison or work, but it is purely spiritual practice. It is purely collection of merit and purification. Actually not doing dharma work is the real prison."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"His Holiness Zong Rinpoche stressed the need to continue to practice even when we come up against obstacles, and that we should continually review our progress. He stated that a happy, luxurious life was like a good dream, and that obstacles and difficulties were like a bad dream. We should give them no significance, but simply carry on working towards real, everlasting happiness."
~ Ngala ’ö-Dzin Tridral
"Things in samsara always go wrong. That's its nature. Don't be surprised."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Knowledge never quenches the thirst, only application."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
LIFE QUOTES
"I pity men who occupy themselves exclusively with the transitory in things and lose themselves in the study of what is perishable, since we are here for this very end-that we may make the perishable imperishable, which we can do only after we have learned how to approach both."
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
"Money amplifies negative characteristics and that can cause problems.
To walk away from that was actually very easy. I didn't even consider it."
~ Angeline Francis Khoo
"I shall not commit the fashionable stupidity of regarding everything I cannot explain as a fraud."

"I am Asian, you are some other beautiful color. Together we make diversity so beautiful."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"It's amazing how some people have never met me or know who I am, but based on a few things they read here & there & rumours, they have formulated a new personality for me & all the things I've never done they passionately speak about....I find it funny and entertaining now. I guess we can't spend our lives fighting rumours...we just have to work hard & then rumours get proven wrong on it's own as a by product. No point explaining repeatedly. Just do our work & show results!!"
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"There's a difference between patience and laziness. Patience comes from respect while laziness from disrespect of others."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Although outwardly we have so much, we have so many conveniences, inwardly we have become more unhappy, so, acquisition is not the secret to happiness. The more we get, the more we have, the more unhappy we become."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Before we experience any pain, we already had a fixed view of how things should be. When the experience we encounter contradicts our views, then the pain arises. The pain arises due to our fixed views not so much the experience itself. So the secret is changing the views. Re-educating ourselves on our views."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"You know since very young, for better or worse, I always did the things that others told me not to do. I wasn't really good at following the rules. Even now with how I share Dharma and my practice, I just do it the way I think it should be done but I do it sincerely. Not what others tell me what I can and can't do."
~ Tsem Rinpoche
"Love me or hate me, both are in my favor... If you love me, I'll always be in your heart... If you hate me, I'll always be in your mind."

Devotional Songs
Sung by Mary Fewel Tulin, these mystical songs in praise of the guru originate from the Sikh tradition. Yet, they are applicable to all traditions for those who want to venerate their guru.
The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them.
That's the business model.
How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying...
We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood.

Rolf Lorenz asked:Hello I am living in the UK age 65, I am so worried my memory is failing , I am currently praying to White and Green Tara as well as Medicine Buddha, can you suggest if there is any one deity which may be more help to me to help not get dementia or Altzheimers please, thank you so much I am so worried. Blessings and kindest wishes, Rolf Lorenz email lorenz.rolf@gmail.compastor answered:Dear Rolf,
The deities you are praying to now are very good. Both White Tara and Medicine Buddha are actually healing deities. White Tara is also considered a long-life deity as well.
If you were given the practices by a guru, then you should contact them to see which one you should concentrate on.
If you don't have a guru, then in my opinion you should focus mainly on one particular deity and practice properly to get the full benefits of the practice.
For Medicine Buddha, the practice is explained here: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/prayers-and-sadhanas/medicine-buddha-practice.html
For White Tara (which is shorter in length and less complicated) we have the practice explained here: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/buddhas-dharma/healing-practices-for-infectious-diseases.html (Even though the article is framed to help heal infectious diseases, she helps in all manner of healing and creating the causes for a long and healthy life.)
If you are open to focusing on another deity instead, the practice of Shize is very good as well. Shize is an emanation of Dorje Shugden, who is a Dharma Protector. He himself is an emanation of Manjushri who is known as the Buddha of Wisdom and great for things like increasing and stabilising memory. Shize's speciality is for healing and long life also.
I recommend him as Dharma Protector practices also help to overcome any obstacles that we may be facing faster than meditational deities. If you are already having signs of a failing memory, then this practice may be more effective right away.
If you are not experiencing too many signs of failing memory, then you should focus on either White Tara or Medicine Buddha. But focus specifically on one of deity, so that you can create a very strong relationship with them, so that they can help you more.
I have experience with both Medicine Buddha and White Tara practices, both are very effective when engaged in consistently and with faith.
I hope this helps you. Do let us know if you have any other questions.
Khang asked:Hello Pastors!
I have a question:
I would like to combine Ucchusma's sang offering into my daily Dorje Shugden sang offering. How i can do this? Or do we have to practice separate these two practice?
Thank you so muchpastor answered:Dear Khang,
Thanks for your question. In relation to this, we should clarify that there are two types of sang that are listed in various articles on our website.
The first is the "Sang Offering" to Dorje Shugden. This is specifically an offering of smoke. The details are provided here: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/prayers-and-sadhanas/incense-offering-to-dorje-shugden.html
This is a specific offering. So if you are using sang to do something else, you will need to do it separately from the sang offering.
The second is the "Cleansing Sang", which is using sang to clear a specific area, your home for example, from negative energies and to bring positive energies into the area. This is not considered an offering (although when you do some of the associated visualisations, you are treat it like one). The main purpose of this is actually cleansing. The mechanism that makes the cleansing sang work is actually the burning of Protector Rice. It is not an offering because the sang is a vehicle that you are using to release the energies of the Protector rice. That is why you don't offer any sang offering prayers during this. Similarly this would be done separately from a sang offering.
As outlined in this article: https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/one-minute-story/stories-from-a-chela-cleansing-sang-visualisations using Ucchusma's mantra for cleansing sang is way to purify negative karma and obscurations internally by breathing in the smoke sang that has protector rice already burning. In this case, you are coupling the energies of the Dharma Protector (through the burning rice), with the purification mantra of Ucchusma for double effect.
I hope this helps to answer your questions.
Mat asked:Hello Pastor,
Is it required transmission, empowerment or initiation to recite the Vajrapani's mantra ("Om Vajrapani Hum", "Om Vajrapani Hum Phat")?
Thanks in advance.pastor answered:Dear Mat,
Thanks for your question. You do not need a transmission, empowerment or initiation to recite Vajrapani's mantra. Within the Gelug lineage as taught by Tsem Rinpoche the mantra is pronounced as "OM BENZAPANI HUNG". You can start reciting the mantra, no problem. In order to create to a strong connection with Vajrapani, you should recite the mantra daily with consistency.
Vajrapani is considered the Buddha of Skillful Means or the embodiment of the power of the enlightened beings. His practice is excellent. Known as Chagna Dorje in Tibetan, Vajrapani’s name literally means “Holder of the Vajra”. He is wrathful, appearing in the form of a yaksha being. With his right leg bent and left outstretched, he stands in pratyalidha posture. He holds a golden five-pointed vajra in his right hand and with his left hand held in front of his heart, he makes a threatening gesture at our delusions and negative karma. Vajrapani is also known as the Lord of Secrets and he bestows practitioners with a special aptitude to practise Tantra. He is well-known to pacify inner and outer maras. Inner maras are delusions and the self-grasping mind while outer maras refer to malevolent spirits and obstructing beings.
If you would like to pray to Vajrapani, or any deity, to create a closer connection with them and to benefit from their energies, it is advisable to set up a small shrine to them and make offerings daily, according to your means. You can get a small statue or image of Vajrapani and place on your shrine.
We have some images available for download that you can print and use if you like them:
https://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/one-minute-story/the-buddha-of-power-vajrapanihttps://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/one-minute-story/vajrapani-the-secret-lordhttps://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/one-minute-story/the-lord-of-secrets-vajrapani
Hope this answers your question! Thank you.
Bhavisha asked:Why Tsem Rinpoche said in one of his video that Manjushri helps 'temporarily'?
Why he used word 'temporarily'?pastor answered:Hi Bhavisha didi,
Nice to see you back here. Can you share the video and the timestamp that Rinpoche said this? There must be a wider context in which Rinpoche said this. We can check properly and get back to you.
In general however, I can think of a couple of reasons. The first is that in order to achieve complete enlightenment, we need to put in effort from our own side. It cannot be achieved solely on the reliance of a deity in the external sense. You must achieve the state of the deity through internalising the Dharma and transforming your mind through the teachings, developing Bodhicitta, etc.
The second could be that in order to achieve enlightenment in the shortest time possible, one would need to rely on the practice of a Highest Yoga Tantric deity.
In our lineage, we rely on Manjushri a lot, but in different forms. For example there is a saying in our lineage that our Guru is Manjushri (in the form of Lama Tsongkhapa), our Yidam is Manjushri (in the form of Manjushri or Yamantaka as a higher tantric deity), and our Protector is Manjushri (in the form of Dorje Shugden or Kalarupa). Manjushri is definitely important, so there should be a wider context in which Rinpoche was explaining that Manjushri helps 'temporarily.'
Hope that helps and looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

The Chair

Nevertheless, extremely cute!
wow this is cute and cool. this could be a really good pianist from a previous life. really cute video
This mumu is so cute. Maybe in his past life, he was Bach or Elvis. LOL! Very cute indeed. Hope this dog has a happy life and maybe it’s next life, it can fulfill it’s wish of being a performer 😛
Cute little mumu have a powerful imprint of its past life. Maybe its past was a musician.
I think i remember watching this video on Youtube before. So cute! I wonder what or who this dog was in its past life. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche. I enjoyed watching this dog sing.
This is so cute! It must be a strong connection with his previous life. Thank You for sharing Rinpoche!
Love,

The human being is the best form of learning and opening up the mind to learning and growing spiritually.
it’s more like a ray charles (minus the shades)- so cute!
Hmmm…
what a nice and interesting video…
Its only depend on our actions of today to accumulate merit and have more good karma than bad karma..
very cute.first time i see dog like this.got bless from buddha.
This little one very cute and like a musician playing a piano and song..

Cute, I wonder what this poor soul did to become a dog… I hope I don’t become a dog in the future… yikes…
I believe in imprint, as I can see, many people act just like an animal also. Very strong imprint indeed.
Btw, this dog is very cute and talented. 😀
And ohya, pet shop people told me before, poodle is very very smart! hehehe. that why this poodle can sing 🙂
Dzamser is a poodle too but he can’t play the piano… 😀 maybe his next life..
haha…the poodle is so very adorable.
This is so cute, must be from past life imprint. hahaha
That is sooo cute ! Maybe the mumu was asked by his mommy to practise his piano and he was protesting , a quick banging at the piano , lots of grumbling and screaming and then ‘ ok i’ve finished and now i’m off to play !’ :-):-):-):-):-)
wow..
This little one is singing and playing piano!
Must be a musician in its previous life.
This is really an imprint triggered!
This also show us the existence of reincarnation!

If only I could sing half as good as this pooch.
What happened in its previous life for it to be an animal in this life?
OMG, This dog really amazing even though it’s sound is not nice. I think if it not howling so loud may be more nicer. haha…It look like very natural, I think this can be from previous life memory.
Cute one… LOL..
That is possible ( The pooch ) previous life is a great pianist. Thanks for sharing this. Rinpoche
Best Regards : Erickksiow
Really cute. He alternates between thumping on the piano and howling in perfect timing. It has to be a powerful previous life’s imprint for him to be able to perform like this.
Wow..he is really cute and this is really a cute attack. Like Rinpoche mentioned, I guess he really has a strong imprint in previous life. But i hope he can have good rebirth so that he can enjoy playing and singing like human..and share with others his talent. Rinpoche, thank you for sharing this clip. Take care 🙂
Haha, its so cute when it is playing the piano.
Very funny and cute…playing piano and vocal training as a singer in its previous life may be?
hahahaha, very cute.

Take good care.

wow, is really cute, i think if i feel stress i should listen to this dog sing
Cutie Pie, which musician were you in your previous life?
dear pastors
oh my lama, ha ha
in our family we are having a ragingly funny and barking debate about
rebirth and genetic carry over , we are sitting on the fence
or the ivories on this one but our family chooses
genetical memory rather than
kharmic rebirth and this
stepping stone maybe
too big for us to
overcome in this
lifetime
andrew
can u
help
Dear Hibberd
Well, my “bark” may be the softest due to distance but nevertheless, here’s my woof woof for your family to consider.
If this comes from genetics itself, then every little pup in the litter would display the same disposition. If it’s the truth, then this theory can be observed in the human realm that siblings from the same parents would behave or possesses similar talents or habits. Seldom do we see this happening. Thus, genetics records certain biological traits but not beyond that.
In Buddhism, the explanation offered to us is the existence of the mind (which is not the brain – a mass of cells and complex neurons etc) It is this mind that cannot be destroyed and is perhaps something we need to consider which is carried from one life time to the next.
woof woof
OMB! Too cute!!!
Its cute and funny, it must be the owner a music teacher that gives singing and piano classes.
Plus the previous life imprint triggered.
Oh my…haha
I had a Great Dane few years ago. He used to howl every evening when he heard the prayers from the nearby mosque. Perhaps the prayers struck something deep in him ???
LOL… I would say it must be previous life imprint 🙂
oh wow, never seen a dog attempting to sing. Bless him! Must be re-enaction of previous life, surely.
very cute, especially when howling and playing the piano at the same time. Strong imprints – perhaps he was Mozart or Beethoven…
