More People Invite Setrap
(By Tsem Rinpoche)
When I first started talking about Setrap in this area, many people were understandingly cautious. As time goes by and people propitiate Him, they realize Setrap is benevolent, very helpful and had shown many miraculous assistances. Setrap has pulled them out of very difficult situations I am told again and again.
More and more people are bringing Setrap home as their family protector. Relying on him on as their personal guardian for dharma and secular affairs.
The Setrap Pujas at Kechara are extremely popular because so many experience benefits I am told. I am happy to know this.
Please support us so that we can continue to bring you more Dharma:

Even though it’s a old post, which I came across , still it’s a wonderful moment many had invited home this beautiful Setrap statues. Dharmapala Setrap is the enmanation of buddha Amithaba and highly enlightened beings. For 600 years hundreds of thousands of great masters, lamas and practitioners have since relied on Setrap as their principle protector. Rejoice to those who have invited one as family protector.
Thank you Rinpoche for bringing this Powerful Dharmapala Setrap to Malaysia.
[…] More people invite Setrap […]
Lord Setrap has been propitiated by holy Gaden for so many years, I believe that it cannot be a simple made-up.
Furthermore, with the great affinity that Malaysians have with Lord Setrap, he is the Lord Buddha that we can rely on for both spiritual and worldly concerns.
Thank you Rinpoche for bring Lord Setrap to us. We are so fortunate to have Lord Setrap here in Malaysia because of your great kindness.
Hello precious people. I find these wonderful pages and Kechara house so soothing and supportive. At 61 I have re-found such Dharma joy, beauty and laughter and few tears.I have run out of ink cartridges printing Lord SETRAP he is so beautiful. I live in British Columbia on beautiful country acreage alone, where I rescue and give home to abused horses. I fought the courts of Canada to stop them gassing two innocent dogs to death to simply please by-law planners that wished for election with sanitized, designer homes, children and animals. My pain is so intense I have to beg any passing protectors to pop in and look after me!!!These western countries who boast wealth and democracy such as Canada, are hiding tremendous evils which are brewing beneath a veneer, with far more rage and fury than we imagine. So with Dharma Joy which sustains me I thank Kechara House and may one day bring my group to see you…with dogs and horses yes???????
Dear Ani Tenzin Chime,
We would have such a party if you do bring the dogs and horses over 🙂
Setrap has been helping the monks and lamas of Gaden for the past 600 years and this enlightened being can help many of us stuck in the quagmire of samsara, he extends much help to many beings according to their level. Though sometimes he does throw u a curve ball to make u step outside our comfort zones!
A lot of people will invite Setrap home if we can explain clearly who Setrap is even though he may look wrathful. Expecially the Chinese people who pray to Ambithaba and Kuan Yin as their main Deities. And Kuan Yin mantra is Om Mani Padme Hum that is universal. When I was helping in KH2 as volunteer I have witnessed many good hapennings that have occurred. Many people have come back to tell me that Setrap have cleared their obstacles and give thanksgiving at the altar. I have also observed the children that come to KH2 use to tell me that they like Setrap and that Setrap is beautiful. I guess only children can feel the energy of Setrap. Out of all the pujas nheld Setrap puja has always a lot of people attending.

We have Setrap puja in KP Penang every monday.Patsy have put in so much effort to spread Setrap practise in Penang and people who benefit from it like me,turn up to join the puja weekly,we wish to benefit more people and make setrap practise grow in Penang.
I gave my first public talk on Lord Setrap in HHDL’s birthday and I thank everyone everyone who were present there and those who signed up for the Setrap Retreat. Kudos to u who put in the extra effort in making things happen for Kechara.
We need more of Setrap’s energy now and today as we’re face with so much obstacles. With the blessings of Amitabha Buddha and all the lineage masters that come after Buddha Shakyamuni’s time, we’re now blessed with a LIVING and POWERFUL PROTECTOR of the lineage. Keep your Samayas clean, be harmonious and work hard. Our Lord protector promised that if we do all the above, we will excel in our fields and our great goal of KWPC will manifest.

So happy people are getting to know and take up the practice of Dharmapala Setrap. Really he does help so many people, we all have been helped in one way or another. For Kamala what a good day for her, she came to Ladrang to teach me the in’s and out’s of Indian Cuisine, and she went back with a special present from Rinpoche. http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/2010/06/my-entry-1.html
Rinpoche did make a prediction that Setrap will be very very big in this region as more and more people come to know and practice and love our Dharma Protector of Kechara house. I’m sure our friends down in KSJC in Johor Bharu have many stories to share from our Setrap chapel down south.
Setrap chen has been the protector for Gaden Monastery for over than 600 years. The whole monks in monastery are do setrap puja. Rinpoche kindly brought setrap teaching from india to Malaysia as he know it will bring benefit to malaysian.

Comment:
Setrapchen, the emanation of Buddha Amitabha, the Guru of Kuan Yin, swiftly grants assistance during turbulent times of needs, clears obstacles and making condition conductive for our spiritual practice. He is an enlightened being and his nature is compassion.
Since the beginning of Gaden Monastery, Setrapchen has been the protector over 600 years ago. Since our Rinpoche comes from Gaden Monastery, Setrapchen naturally becomes Protector for Kechara organisation. There are many benefits and results from doing Setrapchen practice, be it meditation, mantra recitation or Serkym offering.
Setrapchen’s mantra: OM MAHA YAKCHA TSA SOHA
You can invite Setrapchen’s box set from Kechara Paradise http://www.kechara.com/kp or Kechara Media & Publication http://www.kechara.com/kmp
Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
Lord Setrap has one quality that we can all relate to and that is compassion as seen on His chest the seed syllable ‘HRIH’, the very nature of Amitabha Buddha who in His Great Compassion conceived of Sukhavati as the most ideal place in all of the Ten Directions as stated in the Threefold Pure Land Sutras.
Compassion…big word
Big because perhaps we can’t reach out from our own preconceived smallness of our own underestimated potential and capacity.
Word because perhaps we have not translated it into something actionable, something real, something that is a win-win for all
Lord Setrap, whose Mind streamed from Amitabha Buddha,
a Protector, breaks down all these limitations that so often binds our mind,
a friend, when in need for mundane towards Dharmic causes
A friend in need, is a friend indeed…
How nice to see more and more Setrap statues going into people’s homes. Thanks to the kindness of Rinpoche for bringing this 1000-year old practice to Malaysia, so many people have received uncommon protection, blessings and success, much of which can only be described as completely unexpected and even miraculous.
Rinpoche has explained that protector practice is so powerful that by our sincere practice, guru devotion and holding our samaya, we can be sure of setrap’s protection especially at the uncertain and frightening time of death. Even as our loved ones are dying, by the power of the merit we create and our karmic connection with them, we can call upon Setrap’s presence to help them make this crucial and delicate transition. It runs far deeper than just being a practice to clear our immediate material problems (though this practice is extremely efficacious for this too!) – it could literally help us at the most crucial point in our lives.
Some people who are new to buddhism may ask, if one take refuge to the three jewels, buddha , dharma and the sangha, they should be well protected. Then why do we need to propitiate a Dharma protector then? In Tibetan Buddhism, we never propotitate any wordly deity or local gods, Dharmapala Setrap is the enmanation of buddha Amithaba in the wrathful form. Dharmapala Setrap has been the Dharma protector of the illustrious Gaden Monastery for over the past 600 years. Rinpoche introduced Dharmapala Setrap to Kechara because he once said that Malaysians have great affinity with Setrap. Protector practice is very much needeed at this degenerated age as obstacles, distraction are much more overwhelming now than before for any Dharma practitioner. Clearing these obstacles is important in helping the practitioners to progress in their spirituality journey.
