Spectacular Shrine
(By Tsem Rinpoche)
Swee Keong’s altar in his home is so beautiful. In Gaden the monks always have a Je Tsongkapa set like this with Gyaltsab Rinpoche on the left and Kedrub Rinpoche on the right. Mantras and relics will fill the statue. And they also offer the traditional brocade on the holy images as robes and Pandit’s hat on Tsongkapa. In the past not many were attracted to this traditional form of set up with brocade and all. But now more and more people find the traditional shrine set up attractive. I wanted to share this beautiful altar that Swee Keong set up in his home. I rejoice… I find it perfect and beautiful. An altar is a gateway to gathering tremendous merits and also a doorway to the Three Jewels.

Wow …beautiful altar . Having supportive parents Swee Keong had set up a beautiful altar back in 2012. He had embellished his home altar space gradually indeed and simply making the altar a feast for the eyes. Rejoice.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.
Rejoice to Swee Keong having such a simple yet beautiful shrine in his home. Having the support of his parent is indeed wonderful. Wow……its in traditional form set up of Je Tsongkapa with Gyaltsab Rinpoche and Kedrub Rinpoche. Fortunate to see one.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing.
Rejoice to see that Swee Keong has such a beautiful altar at home. Furthermore, he also dedicates this to his parents. It is really a great gift that we can give to our parents and family!
I love Swee Keong’s altar
Swee Keong is lucky to have met dharma at a young age with the support of his parents. The beautiful Tsongkapa altar in his home will surely bring peace and harmony to his family members i rejoice!
it’s very happy to see swee keong and family will be bless by the three jewels everyday. Not only that the whole area where swee keong stay will be bless by Tsongkhapa too.
It’s very good to dedicate the merit of sponsor any Buddha images to our parents or love ones. Our parents have spent their life to make sure we are alright, they protect us since the day we was born. But when they come to their golden age, we can’t stop protect them for sickness or their body getting weak by days. The best thing we could give them is Dharma, for them to get in touch with the Dharma, we will know they’ll be alright 🙂
I remember the Chenrezig thangka which Swee Keong placed behind the Tsongkhapa was offered to Swee Keong’s parents from Tsem Rinpoche, i love the thangka alot…..
Also have notice swee keong not only set up an altar but his lama’s throne too. This will create the lama to live long and teach also we created the cause for our lama to visit out altar and give teachings there.
NICE JOB SWEE KEONG, and of course Thanks Pastor Chia and Pastor Yek Yee to makes this event so wonderful ….
Swee Keong is really lucky to have Lama Tsongkhapa residing in his home. This traditional set of Buddhas (consisting of the Father and Sons of the lineage) brings peace, happiness and protection to Swee Keong and the family.
I am very happy that he has the fortune to make offerings to Lama Tsongkhapa. Nothing else surpasses this!
Congratulations!
It is a beautiful altar. I find most altars attractive in one way or another but Swee Keaong’s altar rings of serenity. Even looking at it calms me down. Just by having an altar at home allows us to enter into Buddha’s “space” and everything about it – merely gazing at it, attending to it by cleaning it, making offerings of light, flowers and incense helps us accumulate merits easily.
What an awesome sight to have right at home.
Swee Keong’s altar is really nice! i like the small chair which placed Rinpoche’s photo on it. Swee Keong told us that his mom bought the chair. I remember that day we have a simple ceremony to invite Je Tsongkapa with Gyaltsab Rinpoche and Kedrub Rinpoche; the ceremony is so sacred. i feel so happy especially when Swee Keong’s parents join in the prayer.
