I came across this video and was very saddened after watching it. What kind of person can this be? At least find the proper shelter for him.

How can this man do that leaving that doggie who was once his pet. He has his reason or so for deserting the poor doggie but at least put the doggie for adoption or put in a animal shelter. That doggie deserved much better than this. That selfish and irresponsible man somehow will be caught soon or later and be punished by the law.
Once we decided to have a pet nor matter what they will always be our pet. That are our best friend after all . Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this,
This man does not deserve the loyalty of his dog. For whatever reasons or problems the dog might have brought him, this man can do better than this. I hope he will be penalised by the authorities for this act of abandonment.
How can he do this? Even if you cannot have the poor dog around, you could at least find him another home or another person with a HEART. Leaving your dog on the street is like leaving your child on the street. He doesn’t understand and he is just waiting for you to come back and this guy never did and the poor dog is just loyal to the wrong man because the poor dog kept waiting for him and looking around.
When you bring a pet home it is like getting a new family member and it is a commitment and the pet is a life that should be treated with equal rights as another family member. This man broke that commitment and the poor dog was just left there. Thats like leaving your CHILD there and all the child does is wait for and love you. This man is cruel and lazy to find a new home for this poor dog and the dog has to be left there and the dog suffers because of this man’s laziness and how much he doesn’t care. Poor doggie.
It is just so horrible to see this video. I just cannot understand why people have to be doing thngs like that to animals as such, If we were to get a pet, then we should never be abandoning them at any cost.
For us, these little animals are just another “play” item and another friend. When we do not have them by us, we still have our friends and family members. Whereas for these animals, we are the only ones that they have. When they do not have us, they are already scares. Adding to that, the poor animal is already scared becaue it is in an new environment.
It is just horrible how the poor dog is feeling in his heart when he was being abandoned there. What for people buy pets when they are not willing to take care of them for the rest of their lives? We should always remember that a pet is a life time commitment, we should not be committing to something that we are not able to commit. We should always remember that animals are a commitment that we promise to them, hence we need to take the proper care and love that they deserve, instead of being chuck aside when we do not have the time for them anymore.
I really hope that this man is being arrested and he should be arrested. Hopefully that there will be no one harming these animals that need our care and protection.
It is so disheartening to still see in this age and time where most of us are educated enough, yet still perform hideous acts such as abandoning little lives in secluded areas. He could have sent the little dog to a proper shelter or an owner who is willing to take care of him.
True we wouldn’t know the real intention behind the act, but it is still so sad.
People can be so cruel. This man must know how abandoned the dog must feel but he is probably thinking it is “only” a dog. This is so sad and not true because dogs or animals are very caring for their family. They need our respect.
I am so happy to have met Rinpoche and the Dharma to know about cause and effect. We create our own karma.
True to it’s title this blog post and the video is truly sad and shocking, I really can’t believe that the man in the video would just abandon a innocent dog at a public area instead of taking the extra hassle to send it to a animal shelter.
What is even more infuriating is that he even had the guts to come back again to check on the dog, why I think this is infuriating is that it makes the dog think that he gets to go home when actually he is just stopping by to torment and tease the dog.
That should be counted as animal abuse and I hope whoever that man is, he will be caught and charged for his misdeed.

I had a friend from school once and he said he loved dogs. Though when he was going through a bad divorce with his wife he put down all the dogs. I can’t reconcile that whatsoever what he said and neither did I buy his story about that it was too much for him, well why couldn’t he find someone to take care of them.
The problem with people who do not believe in karma is that, people think they can do actions to lesser beings (lesser not in the sense these beings are lower than us, but those that have less capacity and capability than we do and are powerless to to act back to us, it can be humans and animals) and there are no repercussions. Really?
That man was so irresponsible, he treated the dog almost like a toy, when the toy gets dirty and old, he then throws it away. If it’s just a toy, I guess no one really cares, the problem is it’s a dog we are talking about! I feel really bad for the dog, no life on earth deserves this.
We heard a lot of news and watched a lot of videos about people abandoning their pets, people are just getting even irresponsible, you do not have the ability to raise a pet then don’t bring one home at the first place. Animals have feelings as well, it saddened me when I watched the dog in shock and hoping for his owner to come back and get him/her back home, but clearly that the poor doggie’s small wish will not come true. Hope that the doggie is doing well now and that everything is fine.
This old man’s action is tragic and unacceptable! For whatever reasons he did that to the poor dog is beyond irresponsible, it’s inhumane. I feel for the dog. Before you choose to get a dog, check on yourself first, are you ready for it and getting a dog is like getting a wife and having kids, it’s lifetime responsibility, although there’s no written law to protect animals, as a human being, we should treasure lives.

Do this dog actually belongs to the man in the red truck?He drag the dog out of his truck without any hesitation and tied the leash to the bench.The dog looks tame and confused.
If he was the owner then ,He is not fit to be a human as he does not posses any compassion and responsibility towards other living beings.
If he wanted to keep a pet.He should be prepared to be responsible to the the beings welfare to the end.The relationship should not end when he decided to change his fancy.
Well ,action that goes around comes around.He might discharge his responsibility but karma will not make an exception for him.
This man is so irresponsible. Abandoning an innocent dog that was once his pet in such a manner. If he does not want to take care of the dog, he should at least set the dog up for adoption or to an animal shelter.
This is a clear case of animal abuse and actions must be taken against the man when he is caught.
There are many cases of animal dumping. Many people dump their pets in front of pet shops and animal shelters when their pets become a “burden”. One of the animal shelters in Malaysia receives an average of 800 dogs dumped in front of their shelter per month. Can you imagine how many animals are being dumped like this daily?
People need to be educated that animals have feelings like us. How can we be so irresponsible in neglecting and abusing them like this? How can we live with a conscience of hurting other beings?
Legal action should be taken on this man for abusing his pet.
Every normal human being will hate any act of cruelty, mistreatment, abused or suffering imposed on a living thing, whether animal or human. In today’s world, we live in harmony. Its a sin to kill, especially with cruelty inflicted on others. Animals can smell the stench, hear the sounds and often sense the slaughter of those before them. We may not be able to prevent such disasters of life for animals, but we can always find skillful ways to unbind our sense of being so that suffering is transformed into an awakened heart that can do good to others in the world. As said and quoted: “Today, more thanever before, life must be characterised by a sense of universial responsiblibity, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life”.
This is so unfortunate. I hope the person who did this horrendous act would be properly apprehended. The dog could have died. I hope someone takes care of this dog.
He can get him a good new owner instead of leaving him all alone!! Poor baby!! He is like waiting and waiting looking forward to see his owner. So sad 🙁
How can you treat the dog like that? After spending years with the dog, you just dumped him away like trash or something? Maybe because the dog might make a mess in your house when you are at work or out from the house. But it is also your fault for not spending time to train it. So blame yourself not the dog.

Poor doggies, animals are innocent. How could someone be so cold blooded? The dog could have died! People are getting more irresponsible nowadays, he could have just left the dog in a proper shelter because at least we know that the dog is smart.
