Fantastic Buddha Decor Tao

Dear friends,
Look at this unique interior décor of this restaurant. It is really stunning. The enclaves for electric candles behind are beautiful. The pebble table on top sits Lord Buddha is subtle and yet vibrant. It is such a stunning setting. Would be hard for me to eat. I would just stare at the ‘shrine’ for the Buddha and the Buddha Himself. Fantastic.

This is Tao Restaurant in New York, the Asian-inspired setting is beautifully designed with a 16-foot-tall Buddha as the central piece, fountains, and a koi pond. they have a branch in Las Vegas with similar deco too. Tao Restaurant serves sushi, Japanese food, and contemporary Asian cuisine (non-vegetarian).

Thank you for the unique interior design of Tao Restaurant in New York. I am very much fascinated to see the huge Buddha statue in this restaurant.
The design idea is as such that able to bring versatile atmosphere to life. It also has a significant influence on customer experience because it includes planning the layout of the restaurant.
Looking at the design itself very much suit to a Vegetarian Restaurant.

Very unique decor of a restaurant having a big Buddha statue in the hall. It is a well known Asian eatery with a massive Buddha statue serving Japanese, Chinese and also offers American and global cuisine. Most acclaimed unique restaurant in New York and having a branch in Las Vagas as well. This restaurant seem to be packed with people , looking for good foods and need reservation to be sure of a seat.

Incredible décor and unique interior design of this restaurant. Having this big statues will bless every one who see and the environment . But it would be nice for a prayer hall or some sort. To me its not so suitable for a restaurant. It would be wonderful to serve vegetarian meals in such a situation ,having a statue of Buddha than.

Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this article. This Tao Restaurant has a very nice interior deco. The Buddha statue is huge and nice. The environment gives the customers a warm and cosy feeling when they dine-in. How nice if this restaurant serves only vegetarian meals then it will be perfect.

Such a huge Buddha statue in restaurant. Must be first of its kind for the largest statue in a restaurant. Aside from enjoying a good dining experience, patrons sure being blessed by viewing the Buddha image.
This is just so beautiful, I would really love to visit this restaurant one day. It is just so pretty and interesting place to be. I believe I would also admire the shrine for a long time. Even taking many pictures to remember the beauty of this place.

It would be great if we could have a similar deco concept Kechara Oasis at Kfr.
It would be nice, if the vegetarian diner could have an unforgettable dining experience of a life time there to share with others.An effective way to spread Dharma.
I agree with Rinpoche, it is really nice deco for their restaurant, its a shame they do not promote vegetarianism as most buddhist restaurants do. I’ve been to the TAO restaurant franchise here in Malaysia but they weren’t very good nor did they have such a huge Buddha statue as they do here. Thank you for sharing this Rinpoche. The settings are nice.
OMB! The place is so nicely designed and decorated, it looks stunning! Can’t believe that it’s actually in New York! The person who designed it must have great interest in Buddha,I love the atmosphere a lot! A lot of people will be benefited by just looking at the amazing Buddha statue, great thing! I absolutely love restaurants with ambience… What better ambience than that of the Tao… I love the way it incorporates the Buddha image, the mood lighting and the Asian elements. It is done very tastefully and beautifully. Some may argue that the menu is not indicative of the setting, in that it serves non vegetarian delicacies… My rebuttal to that would be, doesn’t everyone need blessings??? 😉
Wow, beautiful interior design. I like to have a dinner at this restaurant , so nice environment!!! Good for bring this concept around the world and planting Dharma seed to everyone, may all peoples have a chance to make a connection with Buddha.
This restaurant look so beautiful with the stunning 16-foot-tall Buddha as the central piece. This create nice atmosphere and environment. It is also a blessing and planting a dharma seeds to everyone that seeing this holy image of the Buddha.
This is a beautiful decoration. I would love to eat at this place. The Buddha Statue really makes the whole area seem peaceful and cozy. And i also like the candles Rinpoche. Its really something special.

Ya it is too bad that it is not vegetarian. Neither is the “Tao” in Malaysia which is a buffet restaurant. Indulgence.
Oh wow! I didn’t know they had a branch of this cool restaurant here in KL. I wonder if they have Buddha statues in there like this one? It’s cool if there is. Buddha statues are such cool and universal objects to denote peace and has transcended being just a religious icon. Where have we seen restaurants with Jesus and deities of any other faith being a part of decor. But then again, no practitioners would tolerate that. We, Buddhist are tremendously tolerant!

‘道’餐厅据我所知在八打灵和槟城都有设店。八打灵那间还在我家附近，这餐厅玄关部分设计和八打灵分行很像。
谢谢仁波切对佛法的开明和智慧。类似的佛教文化概念餐厅最近在本国有人经营。
但是受到大马佛总和社会人士的批评和反驳，认为是羞辱佛教徒。最终被逼关闭。
但从另一个角度来看，以佛法为主概念设计可以让现今的人对佛教的尊严，宽容，
舒适和和平感觉。让－些不同阶级的人有机会认识佛法和留下印记，何从不是一件乐事。
可能还可以感化一些人“放下屠刀，立地成佛”。

I am just totally speechless…. I really can’t believe that there ould be such creative people who would include Buddha statues in to their layout of the Tao restaurant!
The 16 foot Buddha statue is truly the best masterpiece a restaurant could possibly have and I hope more restaurants around the World will soon take on such concepts!
I am totally amazed at the pictures above and I would really love to visit and have a meal at this restaurant one day!

Wahhhh…really beautiful and stunning. Amazing!!! This restaurant owner had used the skillful way to explore the Buddha statue to the public. I like this decoration concept very much. Yes, hopefully Malaysia also have this kind of beautiful restaurant too. I think this is also another good way to explore Buddha statue to the public.
