Interesting Article
Dear friends,
This seems like an interesting article… I don’t agree with everything but it is quite well thought out and based on many observable truths. Interesting blog spot name… My Buddha is pink… creative and original.

Came across this old post…..interesting article of a blogger Richard Harrold. He is a queer Buddhist and author of the book and blog. He has been practicing Buddhism for more than 20 years, in the Thai Forest Theravada tradition. I did Google more about this man. My Buddha Is Pink is a collection of essays he wrote to help gay practitioners. Looking at the picture of Richard, in …My Buddha Is Pink tells all a happy modern gay Buddhist in an environment.
The author of the blog has written many articles that are worth a read. They do point out important things that we may have missed in our daily actions.
Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
I have read of that blog before on a forum once and found that some of the stereotypes are also found in this country ala Malaysian version of many sorts.
And it’s not easy to break entrenched views especially when some is cited as a ‘tradition’ or ‘this is how we do it’ and when challenged there are social consequences.
Then the author mentions about skillful presentation of the Buddha Dharma…perhaps this is a subject by itself that merits some deep discussion of what that means in which period of time, culture and society and etc…
I am glad that Kechara has only ‘Dharma’ culture…Sadhu!
Thanks for the link! You have sent me a lot of traffic in the last week!
