The Khong family on NTV7
A few days ago, I received news that my long time friend, student and liaison, Dato’ Ruby Khong and her two daughters, Liaison Khong Jean Ai and Khong Jean Mei were interviewed by a local TV station, NTV7.
They were featured on Bella Society on NTV7, a talk show hosted by Malaysian TV personality Vanessa Chong. Bella Society is an inspiring talk show that features women with extraordinary stories and talents. The show celebrates and supports women who are taking huge steps in making a difference in the world…
In this talk show, Dato’ Ruby was asked about Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK)… the history, what services they offer the homeless, why Dato’ Ruby is so passionate about what she does, how she juggles everything etc… She was also asked about Kechara’s current project, which is of course, Kechara Forest Retreat. For those who have not yet seen pictures of KFR, forward the clip to 16:26!
I’m glad to see Dato’ Ruby’s two daughters on the talk show. They’re both young, spiritual, and fully committed to making Kechara Forest Retreat a reality. I hope that they inspire many others youths to do more charity work.

Inspiring family! Mum and daughters are elegant, kind and spritual. You must make Rinpoche proud. Don’t stop and keep shining.
It is very wonderful to see how Dato’ Ruby has continued her spiritual journey with her daughters, Jean Ai and Jean Mei. One of which is going to be a nun! I really congratulate her. She gives a very good explanation of KSK and KFR 😀
This is very good. Datuk Ruby really does deserve this Bella Award. And also this is very good because when you are on tv like this, it is easier to spread word about ksk and about Kechara. Congrats to Datuk and her family and thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
The Khongs are really incredible! The 3 of them have done so much and brought Kechara to much greater heights! Dato Ruby Khong is doing so much for Kechara Soup Kitchen! Her team and her have helped so many people in need. And her kids are just super intelligent and hardworking too, just like their mum! Such an inspiration to many!
Very nice interview!!! Congratulations to Dato’ Ruby and the Khong ladies for using yourself in benefiting others. And I like that how Doto’ Ruby mentioned her inspiration to be where she is today and do what she is doing today because of Rinpoche.
This goes to show that with the Lama’s blessings and by following and trusting the Lama 100%, anything is possible 🙂 The interview was excellent because they managed to say what is needed to be voiced out for the nation to hear and hopefully inspire more to help the homeless community and others. Well done ladies!!!
Wow! How’s beautiful!!!You can change every things. I felt real happiness, can tell, just real living flowers- All you ladies!!!

Dato Ruby is such a great lady, she take cares of Kechara Soup Kitchen, involving in such a great project in Bentong, Kechara Forest Retreat and yet, she never thinks of stopping to rest or slow down her work, she just want to do more to fulfill Rinpoche’s dream, that is to benefit thousands or millions of people.
With Dato Ruby’s effort throughout these years, she had gain such coverage where it helps her to move forward even faster and higher, result resembles effort and time spent.
I am so proud of my mother and sisters. They are absolutely the most strongest most intelligent women I know, capable of doing so many things, benefiting so many people, yet still attain such sharps minds. They really represented well for kechara soup kitchen and explained everything with such great pronunciation and charisma. Its really a joy to see my family on tv representing for a good cause. I am so proud of them and I love them very much.
when u mention Dato Ruby, you know that in her heart is in her guru, HE Tsem Rinpoche. At any time when you ask her, she will always have her guru in her mind. Rinpoche has always been her inspiration.
Through that, she has benefited so many people who are hungry and destitute. As she is nominated for the Bella awards, it shows that she overcame her fears by following her Guru’s advice.
I hope many more will be like her in order do more for our society
It truly is brilliant how far Dato’ Ruby has come in her spiritual journey. Fabulously Spiritual if I may add! She is such an inspiration and role model for her children!
It is no wonder that her two beautiful and intelligent daughters are following closely in their mother’s footsteps.
Kudos to the Khong’s of Kechara!!!
It is great to see that Dato Ruby, together with Jean Ai and Jean Mei, are on the show to introduce to the world about Kechara, KSK and KFR. Dato Ruby has given a very elaborate explaination on KSK and KFR and so with this I believe it will spread the understanding about Kechara, KSK and KFR wider and hopefully through this more sponsors will come to support these beneficial causes.
