A very good omen again!
Dear Everyone,
Something to share… KB first saw this… It is growing right outside my bedroom in the hall! On April 2nd, 2012 it started to sprout, then on April 3rd it was full bloom and then April 4th it started to fade very fast… It just manifested on the days we are acquiring a new land to build a large temple.
I have plants right outside my bedroom door in the halls, my assistant KB saw this and alerted us. It was a mushroom growing on it’s own… I took this as a very good omen. In Tibetan we consider this very good sign that there will be more dharma growth and fast in the near future. I share the pictures with you.
But this is not the first time it is happening around me. I always have this happen around me. I have plants, mushrooms and bodhi trees ‘suddenly’ grow and very fast wherever my residence is. I can’t figure out what it is, but I know these are good omens. I thank the Three Jewels.

I am glad this is recorded as a blogpost. We continue to be blessed with many good omens and signs for Kechara’s Dharma work and growth.

I feel very happy reading this. Rinpoche has many good signs arising where ever Rinpoche is.
I rejoice for the Dharma to grow. Kechara Forest Retreat is trully a holy land as the mushroom grew exactly on the days when we acquired the land to build a large temple.

Ah..this article reminded me the mushroom that grew on the plant that I’ve put in front Lord Manjushri frame. It grew a day before I went to KFR for a week ( I did a Lama Tsongkhapa retreat for five days started on 29th June 2015). I was so elated. It kind of gave me strenght to complete my intended retreat. (Because few days before the retreat, I was quite hesitant to go due to one of my family members was struck by severe illness and I was so worried for him). I have dedicated my retreat to him although he is still quite sickly now. Hopefully he will get to see this in future or wherever he will be.
Looking back, mine was pure coincidence whereas Rinpoche’s one was a great blessing to us. It meant that Dharma will grow and just look at KFR now. The blessing continues and Kechara will grow big. I am happy to be part of it (a small part).
Sharing here is the picture of the mushroom that I took that day. Rinpoche’s blog is like a small personal spiritual planner/diary for me too as the comments that I have put will be useful for me to gauge how far I’ve gone in my spirituality. It’s like a journey with Rinpoche and others.

Yellow represents growth and yellow mushrooms are not so common. Auspicious signs always appear around Rinpoche and this mushroom is a good omen as it happens at the time the land is acquired to build our large temple. May all of Rinpoche’s vision and work for the Dharma be accomplished smoothly and quickly to benefit many beings.
It is very auspicious sign for all the kecharian, it is how we move to the right direction guided by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche , i am really rejoice with the omen.

I have been following your blog and watching You Tube teachings for over a year now. In that time mushrooms have been sprouting all over the garden and even places I regularly visit such as my son’s school. I didn’t understand where they were all coming from. I found it especially odd when I sowed carrot seeds and a little mushroom popped up. It wasn’t until I found the post Setrap gives another sign http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/kechara-13-depts/setrap-gives-another-sign.html that I realised they were a sign of Your and Setrap’s blessings. I have just found a mushroom in an indoor plant pot (a lucky tree). I feel very amazed and fortunate to having seen these miraculous signs and therefore received your blessings even though I have never met you, live the other side of the world and am just a normal nobody. With gratitude thank you Rinpoce.
Very very good omen/sign shows that KWPC and other of our future dreams is going to come true such as our very own Kechara Forest Retreat center. May all this wishes come through so that more people will come to Kechara.
What a significant sign of rejoice for Kecharian! And as mentioned by most ppl, the mushroom is yellow, not like the common one that is white. Yup, like tsongkapa hat, is it a coincidence…??? Definetly not.
yup, there is no such thing as coincidence. everything happens for a reason. the doctrine of Tsongkhapa will definitely grow in this region. It was predicted by Rinpoche’s gurus. Notice how all the mushrooms are yellow. Why not brown or white or other variation of colors during each time there is a sprouting?
This is pretty incredible. I saw the mushroom myself (and definitely there were fairies living under this mushroom!). There are many pots like this around the house, but none of the others have ever had any growths. Only this one, right outside Rinpoche’s bedroom. It’s weird too because it’s very dry within the house, there’s no rain or anything like that. And the soil in the pots are very dry too.
No such thing as coincidence, for sure. It also opened on a day that very auspicious things were happening for new projects. Magic mushroom? It’s much more than that!
Yes, if you are growing up with Kechara, this is not a first time then mushroom grow in sudden in Rinpoche’s residence. In my past, I remember that may be more than three times I had heard. Everytime, mushroom came out some thing big or something good will happen in our organization. See a good sign again!!! I like this kind of good sign, heheee.

This mushroom is really yellow and bright!! Is there a specific reason why it is yellow? May be it represents growth also? 🙂 Really happy to see good signs! Now is time to work harder!!

Yellow mushroom signifies of the Yellow Hats growing in this region – that’s the good omen!
Yellow represents growth/increase. A yellow mushroom sprouts out from from the blue is something to rejoice. What an auspicious sign and it happened on the day that Datuk May Phng signed the S&P of the land for the expansion of Kechara!
May the teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa spread far and wide from Kechara World Peace Center!
This is something to rejoice. Thank you for the wonderful pictures of the mushroom and the meaning behind it. I guess omens are a reassuring for many of people out there who don’t really know Rinpoche well. It is no surprising that Rinpoche has a lot of auspicious omens because of the motivation and the nature of rinpoche’s work.
On the other hand, being born and bred in Malaysia and especially around the urban environment of Kuala Lumpur, I have personally never seen a mushroom like this before. Mushrooms that I have seen are usually white or grey in colour. It is amazing that a yellow mushroom bloomed on that auspicious day.
Though not specifically looking for signs, when they do arise time and again, it’s very encouraging. We must be doing something right. The Buddhas and deities must be rejoicing. For limited minds lacking in faith, the Buddhas occasionally throw in a few queer signals to indicate their nod and approval since we can’t see them. Buddhas have a sense of humour too.
Another super news from a super Lama and super President of KH! Am rejoicing from my heart and inspired by the “yellow” mushroom that spell “growth” and “increase” in the spiritual work of Kechara.

This is indeed another sign for the growth of Kechara!
I personally have witnessed many signs, including Bodhi tree growing, the sprout on Kyabje Zong Rinpoche’s statue, (listed above) and many more. In fact, when significant events of Kechara were happening, when Rinpoche spoke about important development or projects of Kechara, there were instances of thunder and lightning when there was no rain.
These are all signs showned by the protector Setrap so that our faith to practice Dharma will grow stronger as during degenerate time like now, real Dharma practice is rare.
Thank you Datuk May and liaisons for your hard work, inspiring motivation and drive to acquire the land for Kechara. May all Kecharians continue to work hard for the realisation Kechara World Peace Centre, and may be we blessed by our Guru and the Three Jewels always.
This good Omen comes to no surprise to us who knows Rinpoche/Kechara… just like when Rinpoche first moved in to the house in BU and the Bodhi Tree appeared. I remembered that strange incident.
These signs has been manifesting itself regularly whenever we are about to do something good/huge. It is like an indication by our protector we are heading the right direction especially when following our Lama’s advice, and it is good and fortunate we have Rinpoche and hence Setrap’s blessings to watch over us 🙂

Throughout the 17 years I have been with Rinpoche, so many signs have appeared in relation to something that we are just about to emabark on; double rainbow, single rainbow appeared countless number of times on a clear blue sky, bodhi trees sprouting like you mentioned, distinct looking mushroom,rainbow over a bright shinning sun. Its been too many signs at the right place and the right time to be sheer coincidence.
It is very special that the mushroom can grow out from nowhere or among a different species of tree. 🙂 Very bright yellow mushroom just like Lama Tsongkhapa’s hat. hehe
Yellow is the sign growth and royalty. Hence lama tsongkhapa’s hat which portent the growth of buddhism in Tibet. But this time it is so bright bright yellow could it mean massive growth. And yes bodhi tree sprout where rinpoche goes so I have seen that with my own eyes.
How true! The Chinese always serve mushrooms at festive meals because it is symbolic of smooth fulfillment of wishes.
It is a good omen that Kechara will fulfill the mission of spreading the Tsongkhapa lineage .
Wow oh wow oh wow! I got a shiver of excitement shoot up my spine when I heard about this from David! The mushroom isn’t a normal mushroom either…it’s bright yellow, the colour of increase and growth. This isn’t the first time such a yellow mushroom has sprouted near Rinpoche…the very first one I ever came to know of was the mushroom that sprouted just outside Rinpoche’s bedroom in the Ladrang!
This is a great sign of Rinpoche’s work and also those work that we carry out under Rinpoche guidance and instruction that would be very beneficial.
There are always sign shown for the good and right things we do for benefiting others.
This definitely a good sign for our recent and up coming work.

Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for this post. It is amazing how mushrooms, bodhi trees and plants mysteriously and suddenly appear whereever Rinpoche is. I remember someone telling me that if there’s a Bodhi Tree growing, that means the place and the people occupying the place are partaking in meritorious and virtuous acts; and that a very holy being is residing in that place. Sounds true to me!
There has been many occassions I have been very fortunate to witness and experience whereby Rinpoche gives a teaching, talk, or advice and asks for clear signs from the protector, and within moments, it starts to rain. I know these signs are for us, to give us confidence and re-assurance to follow Rinpoche all the way. It is sad that in our minds, we have to have signs before being able to believe 100% in our lama and going all the way. But for me, I have learned that having met my lama is the best sign I could ever have to dedicate my work, efforts and life to the Dharma. Thank you Rinpoche, and the 3 jewels, whose compassion knows no bounds. The signs are definitely in tandem with all the works and growth that Kechara is to undergo in the near future. There’s no where else I’d rather be, and I’m always as ready to contribute in whatever way that I can. Exciting!!!!

Dear Rinpoche,
It is true that for the last ten days, our lawyer had been ironing out details of the terms and conditions of the S&P with the vendors’ lawyer, and on 2nd April, everything was finalized and copies of agreements were given to me in the evening. On 3rd April, I signed the S&Ps on behalf of Kechara and Kechara now owns a piece of land to build a huge temple.
It is very encouraging that whatever Kecharians are doing have the blessings of Rinpoche and our Protector.
Wonderful and auspicious signs for Kecharians to go forth and have Kechara grow by leaps and bounds to benefit many sentient beings with Rinpoche’s guidance with compassion and loving care.
