Look what I found!
I went to look for an altar table yesterday with our group and came across this place that had a large 3’3″ concrete Buddha available. I was pleasantly surprised. They had many Buddhas of all sizes in fact. I wanted something for our garden at the house we are renting as it has magnificent views of the mountains and valleys. The lady also gave us a discount when she found out this Buddha is for our temple grounds (Foundation). She also gave me 5 beautiful Moroccan bowls to be used as water offering vessels for the Buddha. Nice lady. I appreciated it very much and made prayers for her.
I wanted to place Buddha here overlooking the area I am staying to bless all beings, animals and invisible beings also. The people whom we purchased the Buddha from delivered it today and we set it up with colorful flowers offerings. Our team helped me to obtain flowers and set up a pedestal. It was joyous setting up.
I’ve always liked large outdoor Buddhas to bless and protect the environment wherever I am. When I move from here, I will escort the Buddha to the new location.
Tsem Rinpoche
P.S. I always buy bird food and place water for the birds to drink and bathe. I place food and water all around the house as I want the birds to consider our Foundation area a sanctuary of love, peace, spirituality and blessings.
I also obtained a pagoda as a holy stupa indicating the mind of the Buddha.
Many flowers offered to Lord Buddha.
The Buddha blesses this whole area, the valley and all inhabitants therein is my prayer.
May the area be calm and all beings be safe.
We just placed the seeds and water for the birds. Daily we are doing this. Now the birds will be blessed by the Buddha and imprints of enlightenment etched into their consciousness for a future life to practice dharma. We must do our best to feed, bless and be kind to animals always.
Jp likes the Buddha garden too.
This is the wooden altar table I shopped for yesterday and found and placed inside by room for my shrine. The Moroccan ceramic bowls are on the altar along with incense billowing in front of the Buddha and His Holiness Kyabje Zong Rinpoche makes for great blessings.
On the left is a black wrathful Tara image.
I have also offered many seeds of plants, vegetables, fruits and flowers from the nursery. Seeds have the potential to yield great harvest for many and to fulfill their nourishment needs. By offering seeds, I visualize endless amounts of crop yields offered to the Buddhas and dedicate that no one may go hungry, my benefactors are blessed, Kechara Forest Retreat will be of tremendous benefit to others producing great dharma practitioners and in all our lives our needs be fulfilled to practice dharma for full awakening.

Look fantastic with beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor Buddha statues. Having Buddha statues to bless the surrounding is indeed wonderful.Rinpoche’s Buddha Garden looks spacious and abundance.
The wooden altar table look simple and very nice especially decorated with beautiful flowers. . The offerings of seeds of plants, vegetables, fruits and flowers are symbolic of abundant harvests to fulfill the needs of all. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing with us what is like setting a altar and to beautify a garden with beautiful statues.
Both indoor and outdoor Buddha are so beautifully decorated. It is important that when we do offering we always visualise that it will benefit all beings including those that can be seen and not. Thank you Rinpoche for always reminding us to be compassion and to think of various ways to benefit others.
Thank you, Rinpoche for this sharing. Both the indoor and outdoor Buddha statues and the surroundings are so creatively and beautifully decorated. And the offerings are abundance and meaningful. May the sentient beings who in the area be blessed always by the Three Jewels.
This is a beautiful post and the pictures look great. The altars look stunning. The Buddhas bless the environment, animals and all beings around. How powerful. I love the Pagoda representing the Stupa next to the Buddha and the table and the many beautiful flowers.
It is great and easy to feed animals like birds and provide water for them to bathe and rejoicing for them to receive the blessings of the Buddha.
Seeds are a symbol of creation with meaning and purpose. It is beautiful to offer many seeds and visualise their flowering and dedicate for meritorious activities and meritorious places such as Kechara Forest Retreat so that many will benefit from the seeds who have sprouted to full bloom.
May many, many people benefit from Kechara Forest Retreat and may many great Dharma practitioners arise from Kechara Forest Retreat. May we be blessed to be close to the Dharma in all our future lives.
這真是一個美麗的花園充滿了豐盈美麗的鮮花和植物及宏偉的佛像代表寧平和,令人心曠神愉。感谢仁波切這些美麗的圖片分享。
I love the altar! It’s so bright and sunny as the sun of California! It might be a bit different from traditional altar but gorgeous with abundant of offerings. Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche.
Rinpoche always have nice altar set up, be it indoor or outdoor in the gardens.
Just by looking at the Buddha statues and the altar brings a sense of serenity.
The etching of Dharma imprints to the birds and animals is also fabulous.
Thank you, Rinpoche
How wonderfully great and true Rinpoche’s compassion always is! Even at his new residency in USA, his foremost thought is wanting to place a Buddha’s statue at the garden of the house, with the magnificient veiws overlooking the area, “to bless all beings, animals and invisible beings too”. Like H.H. The Dalai Lama said, ” The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our sense of well being. Real compassion comes from seeing the suffering of others. You feel a sense of responsibility, and you want to do something for them.” Thank you for the teachings Rinpoche.
Rinpoche is an expert in setting up altars. I have seen many beautiful fantastic altars set up by Rinpoche in Singapore and Malaysia. He also helped me to set up one in my house a long time ago. Thank you Rinpoche for your loving kindness and care.
That statue is beautiful. The scenery with the buddha is amazing. I am happy to hear that Rinpoche is okay in America and has so these statues with him. Thank you for sharing RInpoche.
The Buddha is stunning! The flowers are beautiful. Both together makes the place brighter and blesses the environment. Major like!
Very beautiful and well set up altar. Feeding the animals do bring a lot of joy because that is the least thing that we can do for them, that is what Rinpoche always said hunger no barrier. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this pictures.
Thank you,Rinpoche. When you present your outdoor shrine and indoor altar and the lovely offerings of nature, you are giving us such a beautiful teaching of love, compassion and giving.
The outdoor stone statue of Buddha sits on high, blessing and protecting the lovely surroundings and the beings that reside there. The trays for bird seeds show Rinpoche’s overflowing compassion. Bird seeds provide the birds with food. The Buddha blesses them to be connected to Enlightenment.
The indoor wooden altar brings the focus back to nature. The offerings of seeds of plants, vegetables, fruits and flowers are symbolic of abundant harvests to fulfill the needs of all. Moreover, every offering is so touchingly dedicated, by Rinpoche,”that no one may go hungry”, for Rinpoche’s benefactors and for KFR to be of “tremendous benefit to others producing great dharma practitioners”; and, last but not least, it is dedicated to all, “that in all our lives our needs be fulfilled to practice Dharma”.
Thank you Rinpoche for your great care and compassion which never ceases, but is always overflowing.
It is so beautiful and modern! And Rinpoche’s compassion inspires me. Thank you very much, Rinpoche!
The fresh flowers surrounding the outdoor Buddha lend an air of freshness and beautifies the place, an offering to the Buddha.
I like the wooden altar table used as a shrine outside Rinpoche’s room. It blends very well with the Buddha and Tara statues.
Sorry for typo
… it should be “… shrine inside Rinpoche’s room”
Rinpoche’s Buddha Garden looks very nice and peaceful. It’s very good to have food and water ready for the birds, they will not only receive the blessings but the seeds of Buddhism will also be planted into their mindstreams, very fortunate birdies.
Even if you had unfortunate rebirth in the present of ours Guru, no sentient beings will be left out. The second picture is truly amazing as if it came out from an artist brush, the whole concept shows Rinpoche’s creativity.
Amazing!!
This is really a beautiful garden filled with abundance of lovely flowers and plants. The magnificent Buddha statue is a picture of tranquility and peace.Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures,Rinpoche.
The big Buddha statue is so beautiful. I like the way it was set very much. The Buddha looking at the sky and blesses all beings that see Him. Thank you Rinpoche for making offerings for KFR. I will offer seeds to KFR altar in Wisdom Hall, and may offering seeds create the cause for us to plant the Dharma seeds to many people who visited KFR, saw the pictures of KFR through all the social media or even heard about KFR.
Thank you very much for the sharing,Rinpoche.i like so much our door buddha.and flower arrangement.
I love Rinpoche’s style and taste in arranging and creating sacred spaces with specially chosen Buddha images and offerings. I must say that the images never stay the same and the states eventually seem to come to life! I don’t mean walking and talking alive but the face seems to glow and almost look like they will move and talk to you. It must be the incredible blessings of Rinpoche’s presence and the daily sadhanas and practices that Rinpoche perform on a daily basis.
David, you are right !! Totally agreed with you and due to rinpoche is a extraordinarily high lama, any beings or human which have the merit to stay close with rinpoche are very blessed.
Wow! I LOVE this. I am always suprised by your upbeat way to deliver Buddha to everyone, and your innovation, of course! Thanks for keeping us all in the dharma. Thanks to you and your blog, which I was so attracted to, I found my teacher, Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, I am so grateful for him and I just want you to know that you have a big part in my meeting him, when I became interested in Buddhism I went on this blog to find out more, your open attitude, truth and sincerity was enough for me to say this was going to be my path. Thank you for the effort you put out for the goal of uplifting humanity. My humble prostrations to you!

Thank you very much for the sharing,Rinpoche. The set up of the altar is truly amazing for it depicts abundance and serenity.
As for the Garden Buddha ,it was placed at a perfect location to bless the area in front of the Buddha till the end of the horizon. What a beautiful sight.
So beautifully done… Love your altar Rinpoche!
Rinpoche personally went to so many furniture shop to look for a nice altar table and finally found one. Rinpoche was so excited to set up his altar that we loaded the altar table into the back of our car and drove it home ourselves instead of waiting for the shop to deliver the next day. Fun!
Thanks for Rinpoche’s sharing. Very beautiful outdoor Buddha arrangements. Rinpoche very thoughtful to place seed and water for birds and wish that they can gain blessing. It impress me and if I have a empty place, I will so.
Thanks, it’s just beautiful, wish I could get one.
Such a peaceful and serene Buddha garden, I love the altar filled up with beautiful flowers and offerings, feeling blessed to see the Buddha garden and the altar. thank you Rinpoche for sharing these precious pictures.
Looking at such a beautiful Buddha Garden and thinking of how many people, little birds and animals are being blessed, cleanse away the bad thought of the bad day that I had!
It is always beautiful to have a Buddha Garden as it blesses the surroundings and even the insects that fly by. This one is exceptionally beautiful.
师父室内与室外的佛龛都非常的庄严美丽,而且还很摩登。
师父的慈悲是无所不在的,师父去到那里都会特别的照顾小动物。小动物不懂说话,我们必须加倍的关爱它们。
谢谢师父。
The alter is Gorgeous!
An altar is very important to me. It’s the center of my focus, room and day. Thank you for visiting. Tsem Rinpoche
