This is so funny!!!
A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that it…… Don’t waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.
Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottom up!
Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can’t think of one, sorry. My philosophy: No pain…good!
Q: Aren’t fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetable be bad?
Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.
Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! ‘Round’ is shape!
Well… I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.
And remember:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Chardonnay in one hand – chocolate in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO, what a ride!!”
AND……
For those of you who watch what you eat, here’s the final word on nutrition and health. It’s a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.
1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Brits.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Brits.
3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Brits.
4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Brits.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Brits.
CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Rinpoche, I am grateful to find this under the “ETC” section.
I am smiling, and sharing with my family.
Thank you….
?
i like!
Lol, this is so funny. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this article. I guess it gives everyone a new perspective about living and eating healthily. Well, ultimately I think we just need to find a balance on what we are eat, exercise, work, think and do, to stay healthy. Happy mind, happy body 🙂
This is so funny. So fun to have a doctor like that. Everything is good for health and he jokes!Thank you Rinpoche for the jokes! Really made my weekend a great one! Thank you very much Rinpoche for this funny article! 🙂
Very funny…. A good laugh heals a lot of hurts. Funny jokes made us smiles and laughter can make your days sparkle with happiness.
Funny Japanese Doctor really so funny but do made sense really.
Thank you Rinpoche…i have a good laugh after reading and did learned some knowledge from the facts. To live good ,with good foods and do good in whatever where. They dedicate themselves to what gives their life meaning and purpose.
Thanks again.
Thank you, Rinpoche, for a good laugh! Indeed. Joke aside, the key of what happens to us is our karma, even what we eat and do have some impact. More importantly, it is what we do with our life and how we make an impact on others that counts at the end of the day. Looking like sleeping beauty with our organs in prime conditions at our dying bed will not gain us an open ticket to a good rebirth. 🙂
I laughed..This is funny and weird..by the way, I still feel that watching what I eat is important for me, erm..that is no right and wrong, just what is your perception of healthy and unhealthy..
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.
What can I say? I am still laughing till I tear.
Now to get myself a bar of chocolate.
very funny thanks
hahahahahaha this is so funny and and yet makes sense and yet not. i don’t know what to believe but the final conclusion is so funny. thank you for sharing this Rinpoche
Hahahaha..I cant stop laughing!! This is so hilarious!!! He really make sense though 🙂
LOL! Funny and witty, i would love him to be my doctor.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this funny post. This Japanese doctor really funny, especially he answer this question: –
” Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.”
Really made me laugh loud out!!
This doctor is very hilarious. It is very funny, a laugh out loud. Why would a doctor encourage his patients to take food that is unhealthy and causes them more sickness?
We know what is ‘right’ for us. We don’t follow a doctor’s advises although admittedly we can agree his advise are beneficial for us? We ourselves know food that are beneficial and those that are not. Yet we choose to eat the opposite, stuffing snacks, man-made drinks, whatever junk into our own body. And we want a healthy body?
On second thought do we not trust the doctor? Why would we agreed that doctors are right? In a sense we know that a doctor is always concern with his patients and would give beneficial advises to them. Therefore it becomes ‘funny’ when a doctor do the opposite of what we believe him supposed to be doing which is to render good advises. Is it funny when a patient do the opposite, getting sick because of not taking care of his health? No, we would think he or she is foolish because it is common sense.
Keeping that it mind the guru gives good advises for every one of us. He is a doctor of our mind, our spiritual well being. A guru, therefore, is always concern with his students and would give beneficial advises to them. Therefore it becomes a foolish behaviour if one choose to do the opposite just like a patient did the opposite of what a doctor advises.
Hence you cannot find the advises from a guru that is ‘funny’ just like the advises from a doctor that is ‘funny’. This is because when the advises from a doctor become funny we know that this is what we usually do to our body. In the same way when the advises from a guru become funny we know that this is what we usually engage in daily. When the doctor said don’t take this food, it is bad, we are grateful for his advise. Therefore when the guru said don’t do this action, don’t think this way, it is bad, we must be grateful as well.
I specially like this statement:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Chardonnay in one hand – chocolate in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO, what a ride!!”
It is so true that many people has been very careful with their body and so much attachment to a good looking body. But if you have good body and not meaningful life, then what’s the point? A good looking / shape body will wear off one day, and if that day comes, we will be suffered for not able to maintain it again. Or even when we have good looking body, that doesn’t mean we will not die, or have sickness, we will still have illness like other people, there is no difference.
So why bother so much and spend so much effort and time to maintain a body when it is not putting into good use. We should focus out and not focus in.
Thanks Rinpoche for the sharing. Sometimes we need to think out of the box too.
Dear Rinpoche,
Hehe, This post is really funny!!! It is really hilarious and it does make quite a lot of sense to me.
To me it is not what you eat or drink but how much of that food/drink people actually eat/drink.. for example drinking to much beer makes you drunk but drinking a can of beer doesn’t make you drunk.
It is really witty and sensible.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing!
Love
Jutika
This doctor really works out of the box and aiming the questions with his answers simply but be made the true sense. Good for a long laugh! haha..
Been seeing this blog post shared on Facebook… was expecting it to be funny when I read it, but not to this extreme… it’s hilarious! Love every bit of it.. Thanks for sharing it Rinpoche. I no longer need to think twice when I decide to have my second helping of chocolate of the day 🙂
Thank you for the sharing Rinpoche. Well said by this Japanese doctor,as we must take everything in life at moderation.Do not get obsess or attached to a life style that we are uncomfortable with. Which is dictated by other society.
But still,I would think that this doctor need to update his medical knowledge. His preception of the old school of medicine is rather dangerous.
LOL… This is so funny. So fun to have a doctor like that. Everything is good for health and he jokes!Thank you Rinpoche for the jokes!
All of them are funny but this one caught my attention
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.
It was HILARIOUS!
I like this Doctor…
Thanks Rinpoche for sharing this and cheer up my boring sunday.
“Hey! ‘Round’ is shape!” – my favourite part… LOL
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this funny article. The Japanese doctor is indeed hilarious. But isn’t that what we all would like to hear? Love the conclusion : Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
Haha this is hilarious, I’ve seen this on the web before. It was certainly a good laugh and some how some of the facts put forward by the doctor seemed rather ‘logical’ as Rinpoche says. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
This is just so cute and funny at the same time. The sense of humour from this doctor is just unbelievable. Hehe! If every doctor is like that, I believe there would be many “round” shapes walking everywhere.
This is too funny! yet there’s great wisdom behind it. Like what Rinpoche has said before:” your life is yours to live” i guess this can be implemented in the sense that why care about what others think or say about yourself? Just be honest to yourself and not be stereotyped by what the society wants you to be.
This is so funny! I love how it does make sense and at the same time it doesn’t. I love this! And i also like how you can read the text and still be able to detect the accent of this doctor, i found that one of the funny parts of this. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for featuring this article. The Japanese doctor is very hilarious yet the facts are true. He has a different way of viewing life as a whole. After reading this, I won’t feel so guilty to help myself to more chocolates.
This is funny!hahaha i love this doctor…now i dont have to exercise and watch what I eat!!! Thank you, Rinpoche for sharing.
I really like the advice given by this Japanese doctor. A lot that he said made logical sense to me.
We don’t have to carry our beautifully sculptured body in our death bed either when we can’t take the body with us. Why do we even want to suffer so much then? After all, life is full of “samsaric suffering” as it is. So just eat wisely!
HAHA What a funny article!!!! Really made me laugh out loud!! ahhah this is my favourite part:
“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Chardonnay in one hand – chocolate in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO, what a ride!!” ”
I love how it is such a light reading but has a good meaning behind it. At the end of the day, as long as our body is healthy, and we are benefiting other lives with our existence, that is most important. We already created the karma to have the present body. Why not stop dwelling on ‘perfecting’ it and do something meaningful and beneficial with it instead?
We shouldn’t be so attached on how we should look when our body is just another ‘host’/’vehicle’ for our conscious? Our body could expiry any single second now, so just live well and make our live a useful one! =)
Thank you very much for sharing, Rinpoche!
Hahaha this is a very funny post but it is also logical.
Wine is not actually good for your health but what the doctor said is sensible(because wine is made from grape but it also has alcohol)
This doctor is really mixed up he thinks that just because vegetable or fruits inside means it is great for health.
Honestly if you asked me what sort of doctor he is i would say he has half gone nuts and half logical doctor.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this post.
Ha ha, this is funny ,especially from a doctor’s point of view.
I like this one
Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottom up!
Personally think that sometime we still need to watch what we eat, especially when we are sick or having some critical illness..
Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting post.
Hahaha, This doctor is really good and with great advice! LOL!
Thanks Rinpoche for sharing!
It made me feel so good now after reading this, regarding my extra vegetable intake, hey! tobacco is vegetable too!!! On the second thought I think the Jap doctor will disagree with this one! : (
Dear Rinpoche, this Japanese doctor is hilarious. His opinion are just about drinking more beer or wine, eating more fried food, don’t have exercise much and sleep more. I agree to the last one, sleep more. Sleeping is good for our body but I don’t think doing the three other stuffs on above is good for your health and when the doctor said that Japaneses , Mexicans, Chinese ,Italians and Germans suffer less heart attack then the Brits is maybe because they eat consume too much of meat and they don’t as much wines as the Italians do.
So funny, but on the serious side, how much more deceptions have been imprinted on our minds.
What I like best is that ”life should NOT be a journey to the grave………………………………….” Wonderfully illustrated.
A good knock on my dull mind! Perception and holding onto a certain views sure won’t bring us far in life. Thank you Rinpoche for the teachings in such a funny way!
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this blog post . Is very entertaining when read on it but whatever he said it make sense , so I thing is good to know fat is not something bad exercise too much might not be good I moderation is the best.
What a funny doctor! Those who have him as their doctor are sure to enjoy their food more. Thanks Rinpoche for this cheer up article.
Yes, I fully agree to what Ming Hy has witten. Sportsmen and women have the most well-looked after bodies in health but doesn’t mean they can live longer. The Japanese doctor is not weird, neither is he nutty. He is truly a realist though humourisly intelligient! So is Rinpoche who shared with us this blog to make our day!
LOL… This is hilarious! However jokes aside, it truly illustrates how wit and play on words can be used to give something a completely different context.
We should be mindful of the words we use as it has repercussions if not used well.
I particularly love the part on the swimming, the round shape…so funny…thank you for sharing Rinpoche. It lights up the day.
Hahaha really funny doctor , advocating totally opposite actions , thanks for sharing Rinpoche , actions seem familiar though
It’s so so funny, but it’s also poking fun at people who think that anything and everything is to be accepted as ‘good’ and the ‘truth’ as long as you can logically prove it. When we see how scientists and mathematicians try to use logic to prove how the world came into being, it’s kind of fuzzy and skewed.
Ha ha ha! Very amusing, but very true in some aspects. Athletes don’t necessarily live longer. Thanks Rinpoche for lightening my day!
LOL reminds me of another language/logic joke I have heard.
If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this Funny Dialog.
This sound interesting, lollllll! This doctor really compassion and caring, eat what you like!Stay on the lifestyle you have now…yes, too much worried caused different kind of diseases.
I love starting my day with such humour. Thank you very much for this hilarious post. I particularly love this bit.
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.
Now I know why I should give up swimming. 😛 Have a good day, Rinpoche!
He seems more like a university professor more than a doctor! Makes me think of character in Stephen Chow movie…
Ya, it’s true, we always receiving all kinds of health researches/reports without much thinking…
So funny, it just like somebody said “Don’t drink cold water, it is bad for your stomach” or “ware your hat or take your umbrella , it is hot under the sun”.
This Japanese doctor is really funny!!I like his sense of humour, especially how he answered the first question and the way he has made the conclusion. It makes sense. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.
weird and funny logic but interesting as this could be a brain exercise for us when we are too tired.
This is one funny Japanese doctor. How can one not like him!!His replies to the questions are what we want to hear.
Thank you for sharing this hilarious article,Rinpoche.
Just woke up a while ago, made myself a coffee and sat down at my computer to check whats going on in the world. I happened to see @tsemtulku tweet on twitter.com about this hilarious write up. Thanks for putting a huge smile on my face Rinpoche 🙂 I feel great. I can’t remember the last time I was laughing so early out of bed!
It pays off well to follow people who inspire you on twitter. If you’re that type of person who likes to be inspired and happy then I suggest you give Tsem Rinpoche a follow. Go to https://twitter.com/tsemtulku
Hahaha! This is really funny, the doctor was very wise. I agree that we should eat what we like and what we want, if i’m gonna die tomorrow I don’t want to be in a nice shape. There’s nothing wrong being fat, it’s not like we are against the law or something. But of course we still have to eat wisely, or sometimes it may cause obesity which is not good for us. My mum is always controlling my diet, but when she’s not at home…Muahahaha! The chocolates in the refrigerator are mine! Hehe..( I love you mama xx)
This is extremely funny. Thank you for sharing this. Sometimes, what seems to be real isn’t true. My favourite is this one, “Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottom up!”
Haha! This is hilarous!! Thank you for the sharing Rinpoche!
This is so funny! I like how the doctor replied to the questions, especially this one :
Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottom up!
This funny post helps me to stay awake for a bit, and now I shall continue with my work. Thank you Rinpoche for this interesting post. I must say, “Man, I like this Doctor!”
Thanks Rinpoche for sharing, this article really funny and make our eyes and mouth OPEN while doing works…
This Japanese doctor look definately funny hence plus on the article… LOL non stop…
Hahaha. This is funny! Thank you for sharing Rinpoche!
