Unity of The Way
From TheBuddhism.Net
It is with great joy I congratulate Ven. Haiyun Jimeng, President of World Buddhist Sangha Youth Chairman of the Executive Committee and the Executive Committee of the General Conference for organizing the 7th General Conference Of WBSY at Taipei, Taiwan from 3rd to 6th September 2010 with the main topic:
‘The Mission of the Buddhist Sangha in the New Era: Global Movement in Buddhism — Concern of Balance of Humanity and Ecosystem’.
The World Buddhist Sangha Youth has successfully brought together the different Buddhist Schools in the spirit of unity and harmony with the one vision to share the noble message of peace of the Buddha. Although the schools have different customs, rituals or spiritual methods, in essence they teach the one dhamma of the Buddha.
As the Buddha taught, ‘One thing only do I teach, the cause of suffering and the path to happiness’.
lt is the right time for the WBSY to organize activities and programs to share the Buddha’s noble teachings with the world. With the globalization of the world and efficient modern methods of communication, the teachings of wisdom and compassion of the Buddha can be effectively shared with the peoples of the world. The peaceful message of the Buddha teaches mankind to treat one another as fellow humans rather than being differentiated by race or religion.
May the Blessings of the Noble Triple Gem Be Upon the 7th WBSY General Conference and may the Conference attain its noble objectives.
Ven. B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera
