i was there that night and i have to admit this bring back memories of that night and not to mention me laughing to all the jokes people were making, it was a good night for everyone especially me because there was a wide range of food… hehe.
Hahaha! Can’t stop laughing while watching the video! We were there when they were performing. Eric looks like he is having a lot of fun. Throughout the performance, they have shown us that they willing to do anything for Kechara, including putting away their ego. I really respect them for that. Thank You for sharing the video Rinpoche.
Love, beatrix.
Dear Rinpoche, this video is very good and funny. my favorite songs in this whole video are Nobody and Kung Fu Fighting. Eric Chong looks like his is having a wonderful time being a woman. Hehehe! I wish there will be more events like this.
The night of July 18,2010 brought together members of kechara house, their families and friends for a sumptious vegeterian dinner & auction event in aid of kechara house and kechara soup kitchen. Held at the sunway Lagoon Hotel, feedbacks from many said such memorable event seemed to be getting better and better each time. Beautiful ranges of items that were literally up for grabs were snatched up in the nick of time-with members and bidders almost rushing over each other for the displayed items, with frantic biddings to outdo each other. Performances by the kecharains “wanna-be-girls” together with the swans really stole the show as far as the “Fun” part of the programe were concerned. Nevertheless, it was a frantically hillarious nite where loud laughter, cheers and wild clapping noises filling the whole hall till the end of the night! Kudos to you kecharians for a grand night that was. Well done!
Dear Paris, I share your sentiments.I have a feeling many will be queuing up for next year’s performance ! I have been watching the video many times and laughing as many times still.
As it turned out,it was during the participation of this event that led to my discovery that my eyes had advanced cataract condition. So Rinpoche’s encouragement for me to take part had more blessings than I thought including successful operation of my two eyes to receive brand new ones !
One thing for sure, Kechara does things full heartedly! And yes, even for guys to go all the way, full heartedly dressed up in women’s outfit and dance their their hearts out for charity. And boy, were they gorgeous! talking about breaking perceptions… Practitioners in Kechara sure are leading the way in breaking out of self projected realities. Takes a lot of courage. Kudos!
When I think about events like this, I think, “why WOULDN’T anyone want to be a part of this?!” hehe
What a spectacular evening, wasn’t it! Such amazing camaraderie, a feeling like this was a real family reunion with so many different people coming together in a celebration of peace. A big bravo to the organising committee, who I know for a fact met tirelessly and diligently every single week to plan every last detail of this amazing evening.
Even though I was there, I still feel excited thinking about it again. Excited because it is such an incredible honour to be a part of this work every single day – the glamour-rama dinner is only one tiny facet of all the incredibly challenging, inspiring, motivating, fun and diverse things we come across every day in the life of a Kecharian.
This blog brings tears to my eyes.
Eralier, whil watching another post, I had tears of sadness now I have tears of laughters.
But here is what I have to say: wasn’t the discourse from Datuk May simply wonderful? I am very grateful for Datuk May to be the president of Kechara House, she could be doing other things, but she is now giving her time to the noble cause of benefiting others with no hidden agenda.
I have had the privilege to work with her and she is a truly wonderful lady. Thank you Datuk! Thumbs up!
