Beautiful Portrait of His Holiness
No matter how many pictures I see of His Holiness, I never get tired of seeing them.
How can anyone ever get tired of seeing many images of a Buddha.
I love this painting of His Holiness… I saw on this website: http://theworsthorse.com/2010/03/his-holiness-the-dalai-lama-gets-shep-faireyd-for-his-birthday/comment-page-1/#comment-8463

Beautiful portrait paintings of HH Dalai Lama . First time seeing this .. Even though I am not good in paintings but any thing regarding of paintings I love it and always admired the beauty. Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions, intuitions, and desires, but it is even more personal than that. It takes a man with real heart to make beauty out of the stuff . Through paintings the artist could express his creativity thoughts. I do love to see images of HH Dalai Lama and always enjoyed reading if there is news of him in papers. Those days we do not laptops.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this beautiful .
I’ve seen this artwork many times… I remembered when I first saw this I thought what a creative way of bringing spirituality to reach out to others. Art is a big part of life whether or not you yourself is artistic is a different story. But art is part of life and everyone needs it, whether they know it or not. It is the colours we see in our lives, the pretty things we like. Even mother nature is artistic and perhaps the most artistic one in the universe.
So it is always refreshing to see modern artistic creativity applied with spirituality or Dharma. Art transcends all religion, language, barriers… it brings people closer together and it can express a thousand words. So it is beautiful to see the Dalai Lama who is one with Avalokiteshvara, who known to many as the living Buddha of Compassion in an artistic interpretation.
When I first watched HHDL’s dvd on Power of Compassion, the minute he appeared on the screen in the video, I immediately cried uncontrollably. I didn’t know why the presence of this man in the dvd had such an impact on me. The paparazi prints on newspapers n magazines did not have such an effect as great as that on this video.
As I listened intently to his words with a slow stream of tears flowing down my eyes, I begin to understand how pure and sacred he is in life. There seem to be no flaw on his countenance which keeps captivating my attention.
After that incident, I continued reading on HHDL’s biographies and teachings and it brings me great joy that I am connected to HHDL through Rinpoche and would easrnestly wish to receive HHDL’s blessings and thank HHDL for such a wonderful Lama such as Tsem Rinpoche.
I had the chance to give a small Dharma sharing on HHDL’s birthday a few days ago. May that little merit merge with the stream of goodness of every being for HHDL and all great masters to fulfill the dreams and hopes of every being~!
Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
I agree that one can never tire of seeing His Image.
I was so deeply touched by His Holiness in one Youtube teaching of His on Bodhicitta where He had the Vietnamese Sangha as His invited guests.
And He went on to mention that they had taken their lineage from Chinese Buddhism and then went on to state that they have His great respect and even clasped His hands with a bow that He acknowledges them as the fellow ‘Elder Dharma Brother Tradition’ and He went on to explain that the transmission of Dharma first went to China and then later to Tibet.
Contrary to certain sectarians that I had met in online Buddhist Forums, His Holiness has set forth the example of equanimity and peace. After all, He was reported to have said that His religion is that of kindness.
May His Holiness remain in samsara as long as it takes for the liberation and benefit of all sentient beings! Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
Stunning Picture!
Looks like The Last Airbender
