HIS HOLINESS THE 14TH DALAI LAMA
May His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama who works tirelessly for the welfare of others have longer life, great health, inexhaustible energy and continue to turn the Golden Wheel of Dharma.
He is the most famous lama in the world because he worked hard at it due to his great compassion.

H.H. Dalai Lama is the emanation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion. I like to see his face, he is always smiling and he does not seem to have any worries at all. May H.H. Dalai Lama lives long and continue to turn the wheel of dharma.
Ever since i met Rinpoche, explaining the significance of the Dalai Lama to those on the chinese side of the camp (that is, those who are ignorant to believe that His Holiness is anti chinese) has been so much easier. And the more i learn from Rinpoche of the kindness of HH Dalai Lama, the more faith i have for him and Rinpoche. By observing Rinpoche’s unwavering faith and admiration for HH Dalai Lama, i have developed faith in His Holiness too, which i never really did have previously because if Rinpoche has faith in him, he must really be really all that and its not just propaganda. And also for this same reason that my ignorance and wrong perception of His Holiness was cleared.
May His Holiness live long and spread the Dharma. May HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche live long and may he spread the Dharma here in Jambudipa for 1000 aeons!
May the great saint of the current century, the fourteenth Dalai Lama who has done everything he can for the welfare of others and the freedom of Tibet have a very long life, get to always be in a perfect peak of health, the have infinite energy so that he can help more people. May this living Buddha help guide many people in to the great path on to the prefect enlightenment. His knowledge not made up but passed down from all the way up to Buddha Shakyamuni, the savior of the country, India, the man who made Buddhism flourish, the prince who became a monk, all for the benefit of all beings.
The Dalai Lama is said to be an emanation of Chenrizig as he illuminated kindness and compassion all over the world. I find that two hundred percent true. Everyone in the world should take him as an example, as an inspirational figure in life and follow his ways. That way most of the world would become either bodhisattvas or they would already become enlightened! May this great man live a long and joyful life! OM MANI PADME HUM!
The Dalai Lama is the most recognisable face of Tibetan Buddhism in the world but that was not the case 50 years ago.
With the Cultural Revolution and the exodus of Sangha to India and beyond, Tibetan Buddhism has now spread West, where it is blossoming,m thanks in part to the Western mentality that celebrates individuality and independence. Likewise, Tibetan Buddhism is also gaining a strong foothold in the East, particularly in India and Taiwan.
The Dalai Lama is now an international celebrity and a Nobel peace prize winner. How things have changed after the fall of Tibet – perhaps it was a blessing in disguise after all?

This is one of my favorite quotes from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama:
It is critical to serve others, to contribute actively to others’ well-being. I often tell practitioners that they should adopt the following principle: regarding one’s own personal needs, there should be as little involvement or obligation as possible. But regarding service to others, there should be as many possible involvements and obligations as possible. This should be the ideal of a spiritual person.
-His Holiness the Dalai Lama
This is the quote that keeps running through my head when I start to miss the comfortable life that I had before giving in to service work.
This has been a very core part of my spiritual path. It is very hard to put others before ourselves. We always want to be first in line, have the biggest piece of cake or be the one to get recognized for being special. It is very difficult to change these selfish habits, but there is NO OTHER CHOICE if we want to be happy. We HAVE to take the smallest cake. We HAVE to wait at the end of the line, We HAVE to keep our good deeds secret. This is the ONLY way for our own lasting happiness.
Sometimes we can have almost nothing materially, yet truly feel like absolutely nothing is lacking. I feel this way often.
