If You are….
If your angersome, it means you are spoiled.
If you want things to be given to you, then you want others to do your work.
If you complain without doing, it means you want an easy way out.
If you have no integrity, it means you have never earned respect.
If you are always late with your promises, it means you take things for granted.
If you always argue to win, it’s because you allowed yourself to lose in life.
If you are not concerned about others, then you have been overly self absorbed.
If you don’t wish to change your situation, it’s because you don’t consider others and their despair for you.
If you are arrogant, it’s because others are to be used by you.
If you are intolerant, it’s because you want things only your way.
If you are full of hatred, it’s because you only wish to benefit yourself.
If you always lie, then you innately think others dumb and unworthy.

Great teachings and inspirational for us to ponder, thank you Rinpoche. Each words and sentence tell us a thousand words. Great things never come from comfort zones, is the result of hard work and hustle over time that one is successful. We ourselves got to put in action as no one else is going to do it for us. Sometimes later becomes never. We have to use each day as an opportunity to improve, to be better and to transform our mind. It might sound like a lot of work but with determination and hard work nothing is impossible in life.
Thanks again with folded hands.
Thank you Rinpoche for this teaching. It is a great reminder to all of us to not be selfish, lazy and intolerant. We have to realise and accept that we are in fact practising all this negative attitude. And therefore we should transform our mind and action to be better and better everyday.
All the if ‘s ……are a profound teachings for us transforming our mind to be a better person. Never take things for granted, we need to change our attitude. We need to develop equanimity through being mindful of our reactions .If we let go the past and move forward with a calm mind and evenness of temper which can help to make peace with life’s difficulties. . By letting go all the if’s ,we will definitely see results of compassion, loving kindness, and sympathetic joy that the Rinpoche has taught us.
Thank you Rinpoche for these profound teachings .
Truth and easy to understand. Nice
Thank you rinpoche for this short but precious teaching. 一针见血! When we are angry, no matter what excuse/ justification we have, it is all due to we ourselves. Very good reminder to check into myself when I’m angry and to stop myself from being angry.
These words has a lot of wisdom in it, many people nowadays would not realized how much damage we have done to others from our actions and speech, and when things go out from our way, we get angry and start blaming others, then our life becoming more and more unhappy and bitter, but how many would realized all our bitterness actually comes from ourselves and not from others?
Thank you Rinpoche for the sharing, it’s short, easy to understand and lots to contemplate.. I will share it with others so they got a chance to change their life.
Although this is a very short paragraph, but the meaning behind each line is so deep and wonderful. This is the first time that I view how these personalities that we possess can be explained in this way. There is so much selfishness with the above mentioned points. It is actually not that hard to think of others before we think of ourselves. But because of our selfishness, we are not willing to think in ways like this. It is just sad to see how people think and work like that.
Thank you Rinpoche for your sharing. Usually people will justify for their acts, angersome, arrogant etc by using many poor me reasons. Even me myself never think like what Rinpoche has wrote here! What I found from this teachings is, every of the reasons has the word ‘you’, it means ‘me’ or ‘us’. All the problems arise because of me myself, and this is also because we put ourselves in the center of the world. Other than we create sufferings for others because of our selfishness, we actually create sufferings for ourselves too because we are not happy when we get angersome, we will not happy when we lie and complain and full of hatred.
Thanks for this short yet simple explaination on why am i feeling in this state of anger that i cannot being able to let them go. My life is in a mess that in choosing religion has become something very confusing for me to reside.
But i do thank you that my journey has brought my soul here to your blog Rinpoche. Another thing that i have no idea change myself in being selfish. I really have no idea how. I have been following through your blog for awhile now but i still unable to bring my eyes to look into this selfishness i have in me.
I hope that this eyes will open one day.
Then again..thanks for this post..

Dear Rinpoche,
This is such a fantastic post. Sometimes, teachings can seem a little vague or too profound to understand, but this rather hits you like a brick wall; there’s no room for a “I wonder what that means…”
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I realised I was/am guilty of some (most) of these things when I felt a slight discomfort in reading through the list. There’s not even room for excuse when you read this list alone, but on the plus side, it does force you to recognise the areas on which work is needed. Sometimes I find myself with the thought that a few mantras and lit candles puts me on a par with Jesus, but on reflection, there’s much work to be done indeed.
Thank you for this post.
Kind regards,
Sandy
