In You Manjushri
In You Manjushri
How much I have explored I find no repose,
Pleasant always turns unpleasant revealing
unfailingly the true nature of samsara,
All attractions look infallible, but all
that is infallible appears fallible,
Where do I seek a place where my senses
can rest, trust and rely?
Nowhere have I searched in the wide spacious
universe can reliability be found.
Only in You, Your dharma and Your results
My Lord Manjushri can I trust.
For You are,
the lord of all illusions, phenomena, and
penetrative insight fulfilling my thirsty
need for substantial reliability.
Grant me the clairvoyance, insight and laser like
sight to penetrate concepts and see them for what they are not.
Grant me Oh Gentle Lord of unsurpassed light and Manifestations
I may reach Your penetrated state of bliss and illumination.
This life if the goal shall not be won, I implore You
to safeguard me this seeker of Your omniscience
to reach in a life to come, guarded by Your infinite
compassion and watchful eye.
I rest my faith, will, trust, and mind in Your
illumination and awakening My Lord of who appears as
a gentle youth and innumerable manifestations.
Manjushri, for me You are the perfect Buddha,
please appear to me auspiciously day and night
life cycle after cycle. I find in You, the sublime
and final goal.

Pour l’atteindre dans une vie à venir ;

Dear All
I would like to share with you the sacred prayer of Manjushri – A Concert Names of Manjushri (’Jam-dpal mtshan-brjod, Skt. Mañjuśrī-namasamgiti), which consists of 160 verses and mantra sentences. One version is translated by Alexander Berzin, a scholar, translator, and teacher of Tibetan Buddhism, and the other one is from FPMT.

Thank you so much Rinpoche for introducing me to Mankushri… I love him as much as I love Tara!!! I love this prayer and I will share it with others how Manjushri is just so super fabulous for slow people like me! The mind have less doubts, insecurities, uncertainty and I also feel that my understand of Dharma much quicker and my writing skills also have improved. B of most of all, I love that Manjushri endows us with definitive Wisdom that allows us to get out of this miserable cycle of samsara!!!
Thank you Rinpoche.
Without wisdom Lord Buddha’s teaching is like a path without light. Many things I don’t know and understand in my life. But many has been answered by reading and watching Rinpoche’s teachings. Sometimes it seems to be understood but some how when the problem arise, I still run, hide and deny. Wisdom i do not have but I pray to lord Manjushri, please give me wisdoms and sight to understand things better and see things clearly by cutting off my ego and wrong perceptions. May I gain more knowledge and make myself useful for Dharma.

Thank you, Rinpoche, for showing us the path to Enlightenment.
I love the poem! It was beautiful and simple, yet upon contemplation, the poem had a deeper meaning. And the french version, although totally alien in language, but still sounds as sexy.
Thanks Rinpoche.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing..
This is very amazing poem and I will share it to my friends 🙂
This is such a lovely praise to Lord Manjushri. And Rinpoche has written it so beautifully and eloquently. Only in the Buddha we can trust our lives with to make it better and one of them is Manjushri where he can cut our ignorance so that we can receive the Dharma easier. May I have the intelligence to see through what is real and not what it perceived to be.
Thank you Rinpoche for this insightful poem.
Thank you Rinpoche for this teaching on Manjushri. Indeed, if we take refuge in Manjushri, we will develope the wisdom for our spiritual path to progress. This is a truly beautiful poem reflecting Rinpoche’s wisdom and love for the Dharma.

Thank you Rinpoche for this beautiful poem of Manjushri. May Manjushri lovingly care for every living beings.
“Pleasant always turns unpleasant revealing
unfailingly the true nature of samsara”.
There is no object in samsara on which we can rely. Thus, in this beautifully profound poem, Rinpoche shows us that reliability can only be found in Lord Manjushri, His Dharma and His results. For he is the “lord of all illusions, phenomena, and penetrative insight” that penetrates concepts with “clairvoyance” and “laser-like sight” to yield ultimate truth and reality that is infallible.
Dear Rinpoche thank you very much for the beautiful poem that i feel like crying. Lately in April, I realised that I fell in Love with Gangloma and Ash has advice me to recite 10 malas of the mantra daily and have been doing lately and this comes so timely.
Thank you very much._/\_

Dear Rinpoche,
Thanks for sharing the Poem to Lord Manjushri, we seek to know what we do not know, what is illusion and what is real. The continuous battle is knowing and still be strongly attached the samsaric vortex. Sometimes knowing and not doing is equivalent to not knowing. me included. Thanks for the poem Guru, which also serves as a aspiration reminder for me._/|\_
Thanks Rinpoche for this beautiful and profound poem.
We live in the world that perceiving gaining materialistic is the true happiness but yet actually we never happy forever because the happiness only stay a while or only for that moment or I would say such happiness is a just an illusionary. We don’t feel enough and keep on chasing hoping to find lasting happiness. That is where our effort and time gone for our delusion, attachment and ignorance.
Rinpoche’s poem show us clearly by practicing Manjushri we are able to gain clear mind and great wisdom to understand and realize the truth of life. It make us easily receive the great teaching of Buddha and able to understand and put it into practice.
Indeed, This is a powerful prayer and thanks Rinpoche for sharing.
This beautiful peom are the ways of guiding for our thoughts and energy in a certain direction. They are also a technique in helping us to transform our mind. When we recite this beautiful peom of praise, we know we are addressing Lord Manjushri’s great qualities and thus develope and increase our faith and upright confidence in him. It is indeed a great blessing and most beneficial to be able to recite this peom from the fullness of our heart. Thank you Rinpoche for writing out and sharing with us this profound, most beautiful and precious peom of LOrd Manjushri.
Amazing teaching by my Guru in the form of a poem
Revealing through the Lord of Wisdom
Realities as we see and hang on to so dearly
Are all but smoke screens, mirages, rainbows after the rain
We will never succeed in chasing after these rainbows
But only find ourselves disillusioned, robbed of our precious human life
Seek after and rest instead in the wisdom revealed by Lord Manjushri
Who has defeated the master of illusion
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this poem
What tremendous blessing it is to be able to read this prayer composed by my Guru. This poem shall be incorporated into my daily Sadhana.
Rinpoche’s thoughts and words are like nectar from Manjushri’s own speech. And you can feel the deep affinity Rinpoche has for Manjushri, whom he refers to as being the “perfect Buddha”.
Thank you Rinpoche for composing this poem/prayer, this is beautiful. Will share with the kids at Children’s Dharma Class, we are so lucky to receive this! =)
praise the Lord Manjushri.Gives us the enlightened wisdom we need.
Wow, beautiful and profound poem. Expressing the urgent need of Lord Manjushri’s wisdom to eliminate and destroy our ignorance and meaningless desire. I can strongly feel the Rinpoche’s great concern for our dharmic growth as time is running out!!!
Thank you very much for constant reminder again _/\_
Take good care,
With love,
VP
This is so true… we have been going round and round cannot get out from the cycle… it is only Lord Buddha, Manjushri and the Dharma that we can trust and can help to get us out from the trap. Only with the wisdom, the penetrate insight to see the reality and nature of truth, then we will not fall into the same trap of causing us all the unsatisfactory and unhappiness.
To Rinpoche, my Guru, who is one with Lord Manjushri, I bow down low.
Rinpoche personally has been prescribing Manjushri practices/retreat to some of his students. The students who follow through, the results are amazing. Their memory improves/ their understanding of dharma becomes clearer and some even show signs of improvement in their communication.
Read more about this 15 years old boy who took his own initiative to do a Manjushri retreat. He is one of many younger students of Rinpoche who goes into this retreat/practice
http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/students-friends/hecelus-tan-does-his-first-manjushri-retreat.html
Praise to Lord Manjushri who is omniscience in wisdom for we need so much to dispel our ignorance. May we have the clarity of mind to gain more knowledge.
Thank you Rinpoche for this beautiful praise to Manjushri.
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you very much for this beautiful poem. Every verse have a deep profound meaning to it,which I would like to recite it over and over again, in order to gain the blessing of Lord Manjushri to allowed me to identify the illusion of samsara and gaining true wisdom to overcome it…
Thank you Rinpoche for such a beautiful poem. It’s as if Lord Manjushri wrote it himself for us miserable beings to ponder and pray on.
No wonder Manjushri puja is getting more popular as we have sponsors requesting for it of late and for some of us who are not too smart meditate on a daily basis. It’s a very beautiful puja; mainly recitation not much rituals involved. Would be great if we can add Rinpoche’s poem. Kalarupa puja (wrathful form of Manjushri) on the other hand is more ritualistic but all the same is a very powerful yet beautiful puja in it’s own way.
Life is indeed an illusion and I feel that we are all living in a ‘matrix’. What is real and what is not and what is right and what is wrong we won’t know until ‘judgement’ day. Until we attain realizations, we will still be drawn to this illusory life despite the pain, the disappointment and the endless problems. We are so fortunate to have a Guru who is to us a Manjushri himself and by trusting our Guru, one day we hope that we can get ourselves out of this unending rut of cyclic existence.
Thanks Rinpoche to share us this beautiful poem.
This is like Manjushri himself wrote it. Incredible, penetrating and beautiful, thank you Rinpoche.
Rinpoche very recently gave a short teaching on the very sharp, penetrating effects of engaging in Manjushri’s practice (or any emanations of Manjushri), as follows:
Much of our sufferings now arise from mistaken perceptions; or from grasping / being attached to things, with the wrong perception or thought that this is what will bring us unhappiness. We operate from anger or attachments/desire, and this in turn arises out of an ignorance, a wrong thought that things are inherently existent, or that they should exist or be a certain way. When situations, people, things don’t meet that expectation or perception we grasp onto as so solid and real, we become disappointed, or angry. We suffer.
(Practices of) Manjushri, as a Buddha of Wisdom, tackles the very root of all this – our ignorance, wrong views, and wrong perceptions. By his practice, we develop clarity to see things as they really are, the true nature of phenomena, things, people, situations; the ability and cognition to understand the teachings and the wisdom to apply it.
More importantly, Manjushri doesn’t just come about waving his sword and granting us wisdom in a dusting of light. Rather, he creates a very real connection between us and the teachings. Engaging in Manjushri’s practices creates the (karmic) causes and merit for us to be able to gain penetrative insight, awareness for and understanding into the Dharma teachings. It can create the merit needed to even be able to just RECEIVE the teachings in the first place.
Reciting Manjushri’s mantra alone affects our wind channels, which in turn affects our mind – within that, our memory, comprehensive and understanding are affected positively. By that, the merit we create from the practice ignites karmic imprints to open – when we receive teachings, they enter our minds more easily and we can understand them. Further, we not only understand them intellectually, but can begin to apply them to our lives, PRACTICE THEM (which is key) and then eventually gain realisations from it.
Rinpoche has always been passionate about passing the practices of Manjushri to people (and animals – such as reciting Manjushri mantras to them, or putting Manjushri pet pendants on them).
In Ladrang now, we engage in Kalarupa pujas on a weekly basis. (Kalarupa being a known wrathful emanation of Manjushri). Rinpoche explained this to us once: We do many good things and a lot of Dharma work throughout the week. However, if we were to suddenly die, then doing the Kalarupa puja would have been one of the best things we could have done for ourselves that week.
Thank you Rinpoche for this wonderful poem.
The wisdom that Enlightened beings like Manjushri has, is the only wisdom that creates a genuine compassion, and to overcome the 3 poisons within us.
“All attractions look infallible, but all that is infallible appears fallible…”
This phrase is very powerful. I’ve shared this poem with my friends. I hope they can contemplate this poem/teaching as well.
Thank you Rinpoche once again.
Superb poem ! Thank you rinpoche for sharing your thoughts through this “prayer” of a poem.
I share BK’ s wish that this poem would one day appear in Kechara’s Prayer Books, illuminating the the darkness of our ignorance. I have already taken the liberty to print this poem out to be inserted into my saddhana , thank you , thank you !
Thank you for this poem which in itself is a teaching. May I overcome conceptual thoughts and find freedom, O Manjushri.
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank for composing such a powerful prayer and blessings all who set eyes upon it. It is truly something that Rinpoche composed to bless us, the ignorant disciples and all sentient beings.
Dear Rinpoche,
This is a powerful prayer to Manjushri. Thank you for composing it and we should all recite it together with mantras and dhi recitations to gain insight into the powerfully penetrative words that Rinpoche is talking about in the poem. Some of us may not understand and some of us do but no matter but whatever it is, no matter. We can recite this prayer to seek powerful blessings that we may ‘realize’ the inner and outer truths of what is contained within Rinpoche’s prayer. I love it. I dunno why I love Manjushri but I guess it is probably to do with the fact that I am a little stupid.
Namo Guru Manjugoshaya! I take refuge in my Guru who is one with Manjushri!
It’s auspicious to recite this beautiful praise of Manjushri,it contains blessing because it’s written by our root guru.
My son has been reciting Manjushri mantra every morning on the way to school for the last six months and recently I joined in as well. Not much tangible result yet but we are not giving up and keep on having our faith here.
Very beautiful! Rejoice _/\_
Thsnk you Rinpoche for sharing with us 🙂
We should get this published in prayer books, publications etc. Think about it – everyday we recite prayers composed by great masters eg Lama Tsongkhapa, Khedrub Je, Trijang Rinpoche etc so this is no different.
I wish that one day in the near future, when I open a prayer book, I see this prayer under prayers to Manjushri! Rinpoche has always been very close to Lord Manjushri since he was a little boy, and that is no different today. Thus this prayer will have tremendous blessings!
I like these lines “Where do I seek a place where my senses can rest, trust and rely? Nowhere have I searched in the wide spacious universe can reliability be found. Only in You, Your dharma and Your results. My Lord Manjushri can I trust. For You are, the lord of all illusions, phenomena, and penetrative insight fulfilling my thirsty need for substantial reliability.”
Although we know we live a life of illusion that comes with problems, we are still attracted to them. But there is hope of who we can rely on and trust i.e. Lord Manjushri who is one with Lama Tsongkhapa, through methods and penetrating in depth wisdom and that is all that matters.
Beautiful poem, Rinpoche and thank you.

Dear all,
This is my Guru, who writes with passion, compassionate and truth…..amazing poem written for Lord Manjushri.
This most beautiful and profound poem is both an expression of enlightened wisdom and a guide for practitioners to think like an enlightened being.
I prostrate to Rinpoche who is one with Manjushri. In you , Rinpoche , you are my refuge, my Guru, Yidam and Protector.
AWESOME!
AWESOME!
AWESOME!
Thank you for writing this and sharing this with us Rinpoche, it is a beautiful and profound poem, it resonates deeply in me.
Manjusri, my true friend.
Manjusri, my safe friend.
Manjusri, my loving friend.
Manjusri, my compassionate friend.
Manjusri, my awakened friend.
Manjusri, my caring friend.
Manjusri, your friendship extend to every possible mind and creature.
It is my wish that I can return that friendship to all, just as you are demonstrating it to me every day.
Rinpoche’s skill in writing, composing poems; elucidating and teaching dharma and rituals for students to evolve into a transformed mind; debate, love, compassion, wisdom and the realization of emptiness, yearning for retreats among nature’s surrounding, never giving up, are inference logic that reincarnation exists.
Rinpoche’s passion for the above has never waned over the years, they have been consistently consistent.
Intellectually we know all phenomena are an illusion, however, until we realize ultimate wisdom these illusions appear so attractive to our minds that we can’t help but get drawn towards them even after unending rounds of disappointments and pains.
May Rinpoche live long to continuously turn the dharma wheel for all.
In the first part the poem relates how whatever happen in the things we do the results is usually not according to our expectations, and thus we are are always disappointed in some way or another. After much searching for long periods, I feel the need to have thrust on something which is reliable and lasting, here, Lord Manjushri.
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful poem to Lord Manjushri. The poem reflects the innate wisdom that Rinpoche possess. I am truly blessed to have such a thoughtful and caring Guru. Thank you. Meangsun Lee (Roland)
