16th Wedding??
Today Kechara Oasis Vegetarian restaurant
under Irene Lim is doing their 16th wedding booking. We have 200 guests today. And the decor in Kechara Oasis is all done in house. We are gaining a reputation for good food, nice ambiance and high class Vegetarian healthy way to celebrate a special event. More and more people are booking their special events at Kechara’s restaurant… I am so glad more people are finding Vegetarian food the trend to go all the way with..
With each wedding, if the couple wants, a special statue of Tara is blessed and given to them as a wedding gift from Kechara Oasis… They not only go home with a clear conscience but a special Buddha to commemorate their day… It is auspicious to invite a Buddha home on the day of your marriage..it is inviting luck, blessings, health, wealth and enlightenment into your home. Of course this special gift is not mandatory, it is up to the couple.
Fantastic that another one of Kechara’s dept is benefiting others.

Wow, congrats to KO! They have had their 16th Wedding there! Its so cool that people are now seeing the full potential of vegetarian food. Especially from KO. This is good, weddings are a good way to show people vegetarianism and for it to spread, i hope that KO will have many more weddings to come.
I have known Irene for a long time. We have been office colleagues for many years. And I know Irene very well. I am not surprised she can build Kechara Oasis, expand and improve so fast. Kechara Oasis started with a small arrangement for wedding reception. And within a short number of years can now even interior decorate the restaurant to also promote their inhouse skills. On top of that the wedding couple will get a special statue of Tara blessed as a gift from Kechara Oasis. Normally every wedding dinner that was booked by the wedding couple will always be a Buddhist couple. And they will love to invite a Tara who is also a Buddha to bless their lives and new home.

I m so happy for Kechara Oasis because their business are growing, with this success it will bring us closer to the manifestation of KWPC.
CONGRATULATIONS Irene and her team at Kechara Oasis. It is very encouraging and heartwarming to see more and more people being receptive of vegetarian food and now, KO has been catering to increasing numbers of wedding dinners! It just started with Irene’s good faith in her Guru’s advice on starting a vegetarian restaurant, and look what it has become today. Wow, well done!
i agree with Sister/Brother (?) Siong Woan. It’s not a pretty affair at all, to cause the loss of so many lives, to celebrate one’s marriage; in fact, it is heinous! i think another good excuse we can use to encourage people to go vegan would be the 49- days ‘mourning’ period – for people who eat at Kechara Oasis for 49 days, merit will be dedicated to their departed ones…. How about that, Sister Irene? Heheh, forgive me, if the idea sounds ridiculous.
I congratulate the newly weds for choosing Kechara Oasis as the venue for their wedding. It shows that more people are aware of vegetarianism and the good cause behind it and I hope this trend will grow.
Irene and her dedicated staffs had dressed up the whole restaurant and transformed the place to create such a nice ambiance.
What a great place to have the wedding and to receive a beautiful blessed Tara from Kechara Oasis to commemorate their wedding.
What an auspicious way to celebrate the beginning of a couple’s new life together, as oppose to ‘conventional’ wedding dinners which celebrate by killing hundreds and hundreds of lives – (do you want to start a new life with you love one on the wrong note??)
Well done team Kechara Oasis! I hope you lead the trend of vegetarian wedding dinner!
Kechara Oasis has come a long way since she opened her doors to the public in Jan 2009.
I congratulate Irene and her dedicated team for leading this department of Kechara forward. Look at the beautiful settings of the restaurant. On another note, it is also encouraging to see that vegetarianism is growing in demand and people are going for vegetarian banquet for their special occasions like their weddings, birthday and full moon celebrations which are normally seen as a feast.
What’s better way to even receive a beautiful blessed Tara statue when you have your wedding in Kecahara Oasis. Tara is known for her quick wish fullfilling activities.
May those who enter the doors of Kechara Oasis be blessed with good health and long life always! And Thank you Irene for your committment and dedication in fullfilling Rinpoche’s wishes to make Vegetarianism grow here in Malaysia.
