40 Kids Baptised
Wesak Day 2014-Today 40 children are having a Buddhist Baptism in Kechara. Their parents and relatives also join in this auspicious event so over 130 persons have gathered for this. Our Buddhist Pastors are conducting the event today on Wesak Day. Auspicious! I rejoice so much to see our respected Pastors doing a good job to bring dharma to so many. It’s a dream come true for me to have many Buddhist Pastors serving the community. I wish more will train to be Pastors and sangha.

It must have been the power of great merits that have brought these 40 kids together to receive the blessings of Lord Manjushri on Wesak Day, at a Children’s Baptismal.

I remember last wesak day when I went to get baptized. It was truly a wonderful experience and it’s one never to forget. I hope that all the children grow up to be healthy individuals and wise now that they have been baptized. Thank you for sharing this post with us Rinpoche.
Thank you to all the Pastors and hard-working Kecharians who have prepared with all the facilities for the children to get baptised and blessings on this auspicious Wesak Day. May all the 40 children will gain more wisdom and become the benefits of many people in future. They are very fortunate to have met with Dharma at their very young age.
It is so wonderful to see so many new initiates to Buddhism. I am sure that all of these children would take the teachings and use them to benefit themselves and others. I rejoice for their ascension into “the brotherhood of Dharma”. May they all be blessed.
I rejoice at the precious gift of Dharma that my fellow Dharma siblings are giving to their children and what a great way to start with this Buddhist Baptism. May all my Dharma nieces and nephews be blessed and protected by The Three Jewels in all their life times.
These children are so fortunate to have met with the Dharma at such a young and tender age. Some of the very young ones will probably not be able to understand what the parents have done to them but eventually I believe this the very first drop of the dharma seed has already been planted into them. Following to this, I must say that the parents also play a very important role to continuous enhance the dharma knowledge in the children. Thank you Rinpoche and all the Pastors for making this auspicious event to happen.
Thanks Rinpoche for the sharing.

The tradition of Pastor in Kechara was first established in year 2011.
Since then the number of Pastors increased as years goes by. The Pastors services ranging from giving counseling to doing pujas, from giving blessing to teaching Dharma to public.
Kechara Pastors have the spirit of not giving up when difficulties come. They gives hopes to many people and bring happiness by their had work, their compassion and wisdom.
Today, On Wesak, many people bring their precious little on to be blessed by Kechara’s Pastors. This have shown that the public have deep trust on Kechara Pastors’ services.

I didn’t know Buddhists baptize. Is it like the same as in Christianity? – with water and everything? This is so Amazing! I wish they all never fall off the BuddhaDharma path and actualize their Enlightenment in this very lifetime!
Dear Michael C, Buddhists do baptize, but done differently than Christianity. Thank you. Tsem R
I rejoice for these children and parents. May they all be blessed with Dharma practice and be happy in this all their future lives.
