Bam, Andrew & illumination
My thoughts:
Andrew went the extra mile and overcame his fear of heights to get these picturs as close angle. He went up on the crane to get these shots. Wow.It was his own initiative. We all don’t have to do this to prove ourselves, but the EXTRA MILE WITHOUT BEING TOLD IS THE KEY.
Andrew is the type that doesn’t make excuses for failure nor gets stuck with criticism. He has initiative and JUST GETS THE JOB DONE. He listens to what you say, dissects what is applicable and what is not and just applies what is applicable. He doesn’t take things personally. He holds no grudges and endeavours always to be kind, polite and helpful to people I have observed. Isn’t that the essence of Kechara or the essence of the requirements for higher practices?? Of course it is.
Many spend time complaining they can’t do this or that and give you so many ‘eloquent’ reasons of why they ‘cannot’ accomplish a task, when time’s better spent just doing it. Time never stays still. Remember, whatever you experience around you is your OWN MAKING FROM THE PAST. Whatever you want to experience for the future is in your hands NOW.
People like Andrew make it because they just put the effort into it, be kind to others and go all the way. They don’t have to be pushed or reminded. They know their good points and they work at it. They know their bad points and don’t put all their energies into hiding it. All have good and bad in them. The point is to further the good and overcome the bad.
I find it easier to do what I have to do with people like Andrew to work with.
The BAM letter symbol represents the mind of Buddha Vajra Yogini. It represents that our mind can find full enlightenment within itself.
This Bam symbol is what I have chosen to be the insignia of all Kechara Organization and it’s 13 depts.
The Bam letter ontop of Kechara and representing Kechara is our wish to bring enlightenment, wisdom, harmony, love, growth, peace to the region. Kechara will contribute to society now and always to make it a better place to live. Kechara abides by peace, care and genuine respect for others. The Bam letter is the sacred letter of Vajra Yogini hence by even seeing this Bam everyone is blessed and seeds of peace/enlightenment is planted in the consciousness for the future. Hence it is very sacred to see this. May everyone be blessed.
The contractors worked all last night and they erected the BAM up onto our new KECHARA Gompa (prayer hall). I was just sent these picture. It is very auspicious. The Bam went up today on OCTOBER 24, 2010.
The Bam and whole Kechara signage lights up at night and illuminates the whole are just like Vajra yogini illuminates our minds. Just like the path of Vajra Yogini’s practice illuminates all the darkness we project and create which can be eliminated.

So great to have the BAM installed outside the Kechara House building so it can bless whoever sees it and even birds that fly above it. May all sentient beings be blessed by Vajrayogini and have the opportunity to learn dharma.

This is good to understand and what a great example to follow!
So inspiring! Thank you so much!
To be brave is a very useful quality, thank you Andrew for inspiting me and us reading this wonderful blog from Rinpoche!
Andrew, I am so proud of you! You go all out by going up the crane to get better pictures. You conquer another one of your fears again! Whatever you do,you always do with so much love and care. It’s so auspicious to see the Kechara signage and Bam sign up on Rinpoche’s birthday.Thank you for all those great photos!!!
I hope you didn’t wet your pants when you were up there hehehe.
That was a fantastic shot of the BAM posted on your blog. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing it with us. The Gompa pictures was taken showing the height taken from the crane. It is quite scary looking down I guess. Luckily Andrew does not stay in a highrise building. Andrew has overcome his fears of heights as the first step to overcoming any fears from any quarters. I feel the main qualities that Andrew has for his overcoming his fears is his Guru devotion which is his faith and commitment to his Guru. Which means nothing disastrous will happen if you follow instructions and good results will happen.
Oh wow!! The only thing scarier for Andrew, other than losing his Paul Smith collection (!), would be to be close to the clouds!!
Haha I’m happy and very proud that you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone and put yourself up onto the crane! You show to others that there is not such thing as fear when you realize that feeling of fear is all conjured from within your mind…so all that you have to do is to realize that, control and overcome it!!
*cough*
NOW BRING ON THE COCKROACHES!! Gross…:)
