Coffee or tea with your Lamrim?
About a month ago, Kechara House temple underwent a few revamps and departmental changes. A few nights ago, I received a few picture updates from Liaison Paul Yap who is currently heading Kechara House… I would really like to share them with everyone as I feel that they are very progressive changes! Paul is very creative, passionate and energetic. He always thinks of how to improve whatever department he heads. He is never stagnant or static. I like that alot. Everyone and every place has room for improvement to serve others better.
Paul did a wonderful job… He maximized space, human resources and found ways to utilize everything that we already have to create something more professional and effective for our members and visitors. Paul has great initiative and energy always.
All of our Kechara departments survive on donations from our kind sponsors, so I am very glad to see Paul making such wise and practical choices. Not only were his decisions cost-effective, but he thought of all ways to create more conducive working conditions where the Kechara staff can serve the public better. The donations are respected.

This place used to be Kechara Care’s head office. Kechara Care and Kechara House has now merged into one… As the number of pastors continue to grow, Paul saw that they needed a place to counsel our many members and friends…Many are now seeking the gentle and patient counsel of our Kechara Pastors. I am proud of them.

In the Kechara House temple, there’s now a private space for Pastor Chia to officially register couples for marriage. Yes, we are officially able to legally register people for marriage by the Government.

Paul is such a great person. He is always smiling for everything, and very committed to his work. Personally what I like most about Paul is the good eye for statues that he has.
I believe that Paul has helped and nurtured many people.

The girls look so smart and professional! And they look better in person when I saw them in the Gompa. Kechara Paradise should do the same and not lose out.. Hehe.. Even the new Pastor’s office look so clean and spacious now. Paul did such a wonderful job!
Great initiative and good thinking from Paul, who has always been a leader who gets things done. Paul is an excellent example of a liaison who does more and contributes more as the years go by. As Rinpoche says, we should always do more, not less, and Paul is living that teaching.
During Rinpoche’s recent birthday celebrations (http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/kechara-13-depts/2-pastors-1-anila-58-taking-refuge.html), the Kechara House team were out in full force in their new uniforms, and they looked really smart. It reflected very well on Kechara’s organised and modern approach to Buddhism and the spreading of the Dharma.
Paul is always very hardworking and he really do it with lots of sincerity, he always make sure everything is well functioned and best maximize the quality, now when I walk into Kechara House, the environment and the energy is so welcoming and especially the front desk ladies, they always greet you with a BIG SMILE 😀

Paul has made Kechara house into a more conducive work place for the staff to work harmoniously and serve the public with their friendly smile and their smart uniforms so that this can attract more people into Kechara house to do more dharma work for the benefits of others.
This is so cool. Kechara house is growing at a phenomenal rate. There are more and more pastors being ordained. More lay people being able to spread the Dharma. This is so good 🙂 And Kechara House can now legally marry people! If I were to get married, I would definitely choose to get married with Kechara 😀
I feel the changes Paul makes really do make sense. It’s logical for Kechara Care to house the pastors because one of the main objectives for Kechara Care is to counsel people in need. This facility was not implemented before but now with 6 pastors in the house, Kechara is able to do so finally. Rinpoche’s foresight is truly remarkable as I remembered this is exactly what Rinpoche envision Kechara Care to do.
Thank you to Paul and his team for the changes the space. Gives the place a professional look. Allocating consultation rooms for the Pastors is a great idea.

Paul’s leadership in improving Kechara House with his committed team is commendable. I liked the new look in the counseling area of Kechara Care – very warm and a lot of thought put into setting up the area. He also have a wonderful and hardworking team to support the set up. Congratulations Mr. Paul on the changes he made at Kechara House. Currently Kechara House looks professional with the changes. From the changes, he not only utilize what he have to save cost, but, he consider carefully on certain matter. He does the changes based on care for the visitors.

With Paul and the KH team’s help and hard work – we now have better use of office space, more storage to keep our unending items for later use, staff lockers, meeting rooms, classes, uniformity look, comfortable, welcoming areas for members, friends, pastors and staff.

Well done Paul. The whole set-up looks very engaging with personal touches to it. The ladies look gorgeous. I like the contrast of navy against the grey suit, and how timely it reflects the current Autumn Winter collection. The ribbon tying blouse against single breasted jacket is flattering. Talk about being fashion forward in a Buddhism set-up. Now how cool is that.

Very nice uniform, modern and cheerful. I like Kechara Care new decor, very friendly and inviting. Thank you Paul and all the people who have helped to make the place look even greater and fresher. 🙂 There are some changes to Kechara Lounge and the front desk in the main prayer hall as well.
I particular like the new uniform for the front desk crew. Not only it is professional looking, it is very welcoming and warm.

Good job Paul, the physical makeover really suit for all stages of people from young to old (especially the comfortable sofa/toys)!! It would great for visitors to take a peep on what’s going on, based on a timetable which can be updated weekly (it can be start from a manually whiteboard) . For example http://www.fitnessfirst.com.my/admin/TimeTableV2.aspx?branch=116 , different color shows what are the programs suitable for newbie/ beginner/ registered class only and etc. keep it up!

With Kechara living on sponsorships, we may have not have fancy and expensive spendings. But with sincere cares and loves given out to the public, I believe that sponsorships will come from those who appreciate help received from Kechara in the past.
I like it that even though Kechara may appear to be modern and unorthodox at times, but the beliefs are strongly backed up by Buddism and we have a spiritual adviser who is highly attained in Buddism teachings and who is caring for all beings 24 hours a day.
I like it that there are now pastors offices to serve many. Similarly, I am pleasantly surprised that there is an office to officially register marriages.

Yes, Paul is very pro-active and cares very much for Rinpoche and Kechara. He is all thinking and action, never idle and yet still have time to listen to feedbacks or suggestions. Kechara is on the way to the higher standard of service and simplifying of procedures. Great job, Paul and the Kechara House team.
Thank you Paul for all the effort and time that you offered to Kechara. I like this makeover very much. Now our Pastors have their own space and office to work. More and more Pastors will be graduated in Kechara. By increasing the number of Pastors, Kechara will be providing more and more services to the public.
