Lah-Lah-Land Flea Market….VINTAGE STYLE!
Those who follow me/Kechara on Facebook will know that a group of Kecharians have been running a booth at Amcorp Mall’s flea market every Saturday and Sunday.
Last Sunday, however, we participated in 2 flea markets! We had the usual one at Amcorp Mall, and the other at our very own Kechara Care (KC) Lounge!
Themed “LAH-LAH-LAND”, KC Lounge was turned into a vintage bazaar…where only vintage, second-hand, recycled and hand made items were sold. Customers were encouraged to bring their own bags to support the recycling initiative and they were also encouraged to bring any recyclable items to donate.
Different vendors came to set up their own unique booth, and the rent they each paid to KC Lounge went towards Kechara’s latest project – Kechara Animal Sanctuary (KAS). The KC team themselves had a booth selling clothing and other paraphernalia, and the regular Amcorp Mall flea market team had their own booth too.
The flea market ran for 12 hrs…from noon to midnight! Many people came by to show their support by shopping! Many people who came for this one have already expressed how much they’re looking forward to the next!! Some wished it was a permanent fixture so that they could go shopping there whenever they wanted to. Hehe.
If you happened to miss out on LAH-LAH-LAND…do look out for the next, which should be sometime after Chinese New Year (February). It’s a very exciting and worth-while cause. Imagine buying cheap items for yourself, where your money spent goes to a department that helps save animals lives.
Below are some very interesting photos….do take a look.
