Setrap House~another House of Kechara!
I have established Dharma houses where a group of students will rent a house together and have their own rooms. The reason is to boost support and care for eachother while on the spiritual path. We have so far Vajra Yogini House, Heruka House, Tara House, Jamyang House, Naropa House and NOW SETRAP HOUSE.
Setrap House had a alittle house warming and blessing puja. Some of our members gathered to celebrate this happy occasion with Tsongkapa prayers and setrap serkym…See the messages / pictures that was sent to me.
I wish Setrap House peace, happiness, growth and success. Welcome to the Kechara spiritual family.

The Dharma houses really help people to stay in the practice and encourage one another’s practice. I rejoice for the new Dharma house 🙂 that is newly set up.
It is easy to stay alone, you don’t have to adjust to anyone just me me and me and cats of course 🙂
To encourage harmonious independent living with good support and care amongst dharma brothers and sisters, an additional Dharma house called “Setrap Dharma House” has been established. It also acts as a training ground to farmilarise students who are still on the path and at the same time serving Kechara to live independantly. Living away from their families has a different kind of feeling, where one has also to exert great effort whilst on the path to benefit others. However, it will be a meritorious and great way to learn how to transform ourselves without interferences from any close ones. In addition to the 7 Dharma houses already set up, Setrap represented the 8th and being occupied by Pat, Yen Pin and Dr. Jiang. A small house-warming gathering, with a short prayer session was organised to grace the occassion. We wish them every success.
Just like the Kechara Study Groups that was formed outside Kuala Lumpur. Rinpoche has also planned for people from outstation who works in Kechara House to stay in a Dharma house to make them feel that they have a sense of belonging. While his students will still have to rent rooms and stay. Rinpoche thinks why don’t his students who works for Kechara stay together and have something in common and that is dharma. The students also have the freedom to choose their housemates. Rinpoche is also very kind to see that his students stay comfortable. He cares for them. At the moment there are 6 dharma houses in BU and SS2.
This is an auspicious affair – it is not easy to live with people other than one’s own family, but more and more of Rinpochela’s students are choosing to do just that! Such auspicious harmony~beautiful samaya! Happy housewarming, from us in Penang!
