Watch video of Aquarium in KSA
Kechara Saraswati Arts (KSA) is our arts dept. We sew traditional thangkas, sew brocades, paint statues, paint the faces in traditional gold, repair statues and painting of tsatsas. It is the first Tibetan’s Art’s studio in Southeast Asia. Can see more: http://www.kechara.com/ksa/.
I arranged for a large 5 ft fishtank at KSA and had the water running for a month so it would mature before getting fish. So last night I went and got some very nice fishes for KSA.
It will relax the staff and volunteers. It’s very relaxing to watch the fishes on their break as they have art intensive work.I care about the staff and volunteers very much. Our staff deserve nice relaxation and at the same time these fishes will have a very nice home. Big space, nice plants, good food and lots of love.
It is good for this dept to take care of fish and cultivate concern for animals. It will create the causes for our Kechara Animal Sanctuary to arise.
If you have any questions re this innovative KSA Dept, please contact Liaison Wan Wong or Liaison Paul Yap. See Below for their contacts:

They are very nice people and ready to answer your questions anytime.
For now may all people who enter KSA be blessed by Saraswati Buddha to gain meditative insight, firm wisdom and penetrative comprehension of reality.

KSA does very beautiful religious artwork. I used to send my mala for restringing at KSA. Also, had some of my statues inserted with mantras at KSA too; together with offering of gold on the Buddha statues. Love it that it is a one stop centre for beautiful handiwork and artwork.
The aquarium will be such a calming energy in the area and soothing relief for the eyes after concentrating on the fine artwork. As Rinpoche said, it’s a good reminder about kindness to animals even fishes.
The fishes sure look very beautiful and happy, I’ve kept fishes as a pet once, taking care of the fishes is not easy at all, it requires passion and patience. My fishes didn’t end up quite well, one died when I was changing the water, it jumped out from a cup where I transferred it into, I couldn’t get it back into the water in time. From that fay onwards, I never wanted to keep fishes anymore.
Such nice fish, i wish i had a fish tank like that. Its so nice to have fish. They are just so cute and make the room look so peaceful. And KSA is looking good, i love the department. I think all the people who are in the department are just so talented. Good job to the people who set up the fish tank, its fantastic 🙂
samsara is a difficult practice in dharma for all to consider
o dear teacher we have so much to learn
Come to KSA and be spiritually charged. KSA is the place to volunteer your talents, be it sewing, beading, mantra rolling, painting, art & crafts – you name it, KSA will be happy to welcome you and your services. KSA is now headed by liaison Paul Yap and supported by a team of equally artistic staff and volunteers. Paul also heads Kechara Discovery the sourcing arm of Kechara for beautiful statues, some of which are the large statues being commissioned for our new gompa.
One volunteer Lili – very artistic and talented – who single-handedly repaired the damaged statue of Zong Rinpoche, and all within good time. Lili has been regularly volunteering her services at KSA to pain Buddha statues and she is ever willing to help and guide any new volunteers to that department. You can see the full concentration she puts in and how absorbed she is when painting.
Another venue for dharma to reach out and touch people.
Kechara Saraswati Arts is the first Tibetan’s Art’s studio in Southeast Asia which has an aquarium for the relaxation of artist and staff. The aquarium is also for the staff to cultivate love and care for these fishes and in future animals for Kechara Animal Sanctuary. I also know watching fishes swimming in the aquarium is a form of therapy to relax and unwind a tired body and mind to turn creative and productive too. Those fishes in the aquarium are so beautiful and captivating. They must be a costly purchase but our Rinpoche does not mind spending the money for a good cause.
Wow is d world. It is so Beautiful and fishes are so beautiful!, esp. the big lovely smiley parrot fish! He looks so happy in there. Better then being in a crappy pet store. What a great way to create care for in us and d causes for a animal sanctuary!!! Simply brilliant Rinpoche!
