Ethan’s gift that shows who he is….
Dear friends,
Ethan offered me a surprising gift… a part of his body… I was awed, amazed and happily stunned by his genuine capacity of selflessness. I am touched and moved beyond words for his generosity.
It’s rare to come across such an individual… and it really shows what kind of person they are… I treasure them. I thank them.
Please read.

From Ethan Hoo:
Dear Rinpoche,
I hope you’ll recover soon. I know time is precious and we’re all running out of time. It’s sad to hear of your condition and I met you very late. I hope I’ll be able to transform fast and that you’ll live long and continue to teach dharma. I know many people have and will benefit from your teachings.
Here are some little gifts to offer to you. First is a Lamrim set translated by your first guru Kensur Lobsang Tharchin Rinpoche. I saw these 3-part books in a Dharma shop in Singapore, near my studio. I know guru devotion meant a lot to you and you love all your gurus. I thought you might like to have this Lamrim set.
My second offering is a Vajrayogini Sadhana and Commentary. May I be fortunate enough in the future to receive Vajrayogini empowerments from you. May Rinpoche live long and through you, Lama Tsongkhapa and Vajrayogini practices flourish in this region and beyond.
My third offering is, if there comes a time when Rinpoche needs a liver transplant, I’m more than happy to offer my liver to you if my blood type matches yours or is compatible. It’s possible to live with 1/2 of the liver as it will regenerate, in both donor and recipient. My wish is for Rinpoche to live long and bring Dharma to more people.
Hope all is well and KWPC manifest soon.
*P.S: My blood type is A positive.
Much love,
Ethan Hoo

Amazing fella. I really admire Ethan for being such a great compassionate person.
Rejoice 😀
Very kind of Ethan to give such a wonderful gifts to Rinpoche. May Ethan’s faith in Rinpoche never diminish, but grows stronger over time 😀
This gesture of giving shows we could give not only financial aid, effort, time and kind words. It is the practice of loving kindness and compassion. For some, it comes naturally. For others, it may be difficult. Practice makes perfect, as the saying goes.
Ne estus la unua okazo kiam Rinpocxe ricevus la organon de alia viro en lia postejo.
Very inspiring! Ethan’s thought of compassion for others spurs him to willingly offer his liver in order for Rinpoche to continue living, and thus benefiting more beings.
Ethan is really kind and compassionate. He fully practice the Guru-Student’s devotion via actions!

It’s fantastic to know someone can do so much without the need to ask for anything in return. To show gratitude in such a way is something we all can learn from. I am embarrassed that I’ve not done enough for Rinpoche now. I will do so now and in future for Rinpoche’s wishes to materialize. Rinpoche please be well soon and may Rinpoche’s treatments be smooth and without pain. May Rinpoche’s pain come to me.
Wow! What an offering. Offering part of your body to safe a life. I rejoice for Rinpoche and for Ethan. For Rinpoche to have such a student and for Ethan to have such a compassionate heart.
Actually, we can also commit to donating blood regularly and commit to donate our organs in the event of our death to the National Organ Transplant Resource Centre. May all of us be inspired by Ethan’s compassionate heart.
