From Vivian Ng
I met Vivian 18 years ago in 1992. I was in walking around in SS2 Petaling Jaya and looking for photographer to take some pictures. I walked into their shop and met Vivian and her husband. They found me ‘unusual’ and I found them interesting…hehehe. We did the photo shoot and afterwards I had lunch with her husband. They have a family business there at the time of taking professional pictures and prints. Her husband is a very good photographer.
Ever since that day they took pictures of me at their SS2 shop, we have been friends going nearly on two decades… Now Vivian and her daughter Sophie are regular volunteers in Kechara Saraswati Arts Dept. They do such wonderful art works and very important members of this dept. Her other daughter Angie works in Kechara Oasis Resteraunt. Nice girl also. And yet another daughter Suzan works for Kechara Paradise..and she is a great person to explain things to you as she is good in conversation… A short while back I married Suzan in a Buddhist Ceremony in Kechara House.
All this from an accidental meeting in SS2. Nice. Fate..karma..affinity…destiny…and everything nice..
Here, Vivian sent me an exotic plant with a note..how sweet. It’s nice to have friends for long term. Treat everyone with respect, love and care and most of the time it works out.

There are many blog posts about Rinpoche receiving gifts from people, somehow, the picture of this plant captures my attention.
The story itself is even more interesting. I like it that this is a relationship that is built up over 2 decades and spans over 2 generations and perhaps more.
Relationships that have been through the tests of time are always the sweeter and tougher.
The time I really got to know the happy and bubbly Aunty Vivian was during the 1st Pilgrimage KL Tour led by Tsem Rinpoche in 2007. She was my sitting companion in the bus. we had a tour of of all the departments in Kechara Organisation. I remember I gave her a Chinese Setrap Book cause she reads Chinese. Actually Aunty Vivian was already volunteering in Kechara Paradise. You can consider her as a poineer volunteer in Kechara Paradise apart from the staff like Geraldine and Chia. She has volunteered under very low profile. Although she does not attend the regular pujas in KH and does not do much prayers. In her own way she has has been helping Kechara especially Kechara Saraswati Arts in SS2. She spends most of her evenings in KSA helping out with painting etc. Her daughters are also involve in Kechara. Suzane is in the outlets Angie is working in Kechara Oasis and Sophie is volunteer in KSA.
Yes! I absolutely agree with Janice that her latest work is POW WOW! AWESOME! You cant help but feel the special quality that radiates from the painted White Tara. …I was really totally mesmerized! I absolutely salute Aunty Vivian for the Dharma is in her heart!
What she touches is Dharma, what she kindles in us is the aspiration to be like her to be able to channel and pour the tremendous loving kindness, generosity, care, friendship, respect into everyone and projects.
She is definitely one of the movers behind the scenes…
Aunty Vivian is always at KSA in the evenings, even it is late. Nothing is daunting for her, including learning a new skill to complete a job. She paints beautifully, her latest work is an inspiration for us in the statue painting class.
Rinpoche has many dedicated students and together they will help spread the words of Lord Buddha. I remember a talk given by Rinpoche some time ago – the gist of which was ‘action speaks louder than words’ & ‘walking the talk’. That 70% of our body action will be perceived and understood by the perceiver.
You know, this is really true – Aunty Vivian really does take care of everyone like they are her children. It wasn’t that three of her daughters joined the Dharma family; it was more like all 90 of us became a part of her family!
The Ng family is really a great synergistic, inspiring Dharma family – every single one of them are in Dharma. Even their little dog Dino was a rescued pooch found through a Dharma connection. And its so cute how each of the sisters are in different departments, each sharing their creativity and skills in different ways. Even their dad goes to KSA (and is a very skilled artist I might add).
AND on top of everything, they have also been supporting and contributing to Rinpoche’s huge work the organisation through their own photo business, producing literally THOUSANDS of Buddha images, canvas prints of thangkas and large Buddha posters that have gone into the homes and hearts of people all over the world.
dear rinpoche she is verry kind she help ksa so much.and she love us like her son(family)and her all daughter verry king.thank you for shering about ant vivian.
